08:28 - my hiking speed compared to yours. 13:28 - hahaha, perfect 22:54 - me after getting out of bed before 09:00am on a saturday Also i fucking love ur videos man
There's a lot of hiking/walking content out there, but yours is one of the few I've found that feels unique in its tone, with a real sense of honesty. These videos put me in a good head-space, and I hope you continue to make them.
Very grateful for another trail for you to have shared. You are one of my favourite UA-camrs to watch, you capture everything about backpacking that I love. You seem to have a slight air of honest vulnerability that I really connect with too when I’m out on trail, being absorbed by the outdoors really does seem to heighten the bodies senses. Well done on the high mileage achievement.
Thank you, I’m really glad you feel that way! I try to keep it as real as I can 😅 it’s quite a vulnerable place to be sometimes secluded in the hills but I think it does me the world of good 🤞🏼👌🏼
Absolutely amazing nice sound. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Guys I recommended you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place moses peak. Add this amazing sound in your bucket list moses peak.
A great walk and video. Some beautiful cinematography, and i love the chilled vibe. Great to know that the Red kites have recovered so well. Thanks for making and sharing. 🙏 Best wishes from Oz. 🇦🇺
A great video and thanks for sharing. I’m planning on walking the Ridgeway next year in reverse as part of a longer route starting at Ivinghoe Beacon and walking the Ridgeway and then from Avebury dropping down to Stonehenge before heading across to Glastonbury and finishing up on Glastonbury Tor.
Love watching your videos and getting a feel for what the trails are like in the UK. Are you able to say what the olive green fleece/ long sleeve is and who its by? It looks quite comfortable and lightweight - shown around the 13:50 mark. Thanks for taking the time to document your trails!
hey :) glad you enjoy them! yeah that fleece was just a cheap one i think from a brand called peter storm. i reckon a lightweight pullover fleece like that is perfect here between june-late august as its nice not to bring a puffy
Well done mate a great acheivement. I can understand why you did so much stretching with the miles put in each day. The sky duel between the Sparrowhawk and Red Kite was really cool.
Loved this video, but I have to confess a vested interest! That night you spent in the pub at Princes Risborough was probably my worst night camping ever and the lowest point of the trail.
Oh man, thanks for checking the video out Dave. Hope you didn’t mind me sharing about your night in the rain 😅 you got through it and completed a great trail however!
Absolutely amazing to see and hear your view of this amazing part of the world and how you really have captured its vibe. As a Swindon local, Avebury and this end of the ridgeway, are where I love spending much of my spare time and taking my family on many adventures. You really have a way of capturing the essence of your environment and refreshingly different to many youtubers. All tge best for whatever comes next, from a huge Fan.
I love watching these long distance walks. Hopefully your body was still in one piece after finishing. My parents tell me they did the Keswick to Barrow walk 3 times while they were in their twenties - I don't believe them even though they have the certificates to prove it. I can't fathom walking anything past twenty miles - I'm guessing at some point it's mind over matter. 👏
Awesome as always, congratz! Wish it was at least 2x longer to watch :) Btw is there no midges in England during summer? Im always scared hiking here in Scotland coz of them fkers haha
Absolutely not, probably don’t start encountering them until you get into the Yorkshire area and northbound (I could be wrong but not in my experience)
@@gregoryoutdoors I’d say yes, but then every time I’m in Scotland I’m just in complete awe over how stunning everything is, so I’m always happy even if I’m covered from the neck down in bites 😂
@@lamboways hahah thats also true! hope you come here soon to do another video...im may go in June or July again not sure where yet, East Highland Way + Speyside Way was on plan but not 100%

@@RichardShortland-Neal that sounds fantastic! The ridgeway is such an enjoyable route… plenty of pit stops and friendly faces
