I love the small community over here. I was an Editor for a Homm3 UA-camr and he just got too big at some point and it just lost it's magic.

Lovely overview! I like how you conjectured that the Death Knight cheat was there just for the sake of the Black Knight reference. And what an interesting origin story for the Behemoth! Didn't expect that to pop up in a video on the chetas.
Also, am I the only one who is REALLY SALTY about the fact that they swapped the Holy Grail references for the Matrix references? No offense to Matrix fans, but the Holy Grail is *so* appropriate for this game it's unbelievable and I can't fathom why they'd want to get rid of them.

I just wanted to say that the last one is really strong because it enables the player to trigger computer-only map events and timed events, but all my comments get deleted it is super annoying.
There's also a lesser known fan expansion called Wake of Gods(or In the Wake of Gods), that has it's own set of cheat codes. They all start with wog instead of nwc and they're all references to the Lord of the Rings series.

I had to redo some campaigns in order to fix an issue that the game created, got sick of it and used the archangel cheat. I hate having that name in the scores when it's the games fault.

I was wondering if there was a way to get rid of the Cheater High Score?. I've tried to reset the highscores and deleting the save file i cheated in and i still get the cheater high score regardless, it was a campaign i cheated in if that helps

for a game in fantasy setting, the developers were obsessed with Matrix that has absolutely nothing to do with a fantasy setting
Very common for video games of this era. Cheat codes almost never related to the game itself.

I play the game since 1998-1999 or so ... LOL i forget and that game had cheats :)
FYI, I found a way to use nwczion and not get labeled a cheater. Load a new game, enter code and enter town. Then go back to main menu and start a new game. Cheat code still works and will for every new town until you exit that game. Wonder if anyone else had tried this?
Haven't tried it but sounds about right to me. I noticed it doesn't build the towns up until the moment you take them over, so I guess it works by flipping the game to a new mode until next time you completely exit / relaunch it
@@Norovo it turns them when you enter them; as such it also maxes out the town if you play with the AI in (Allies) maps and open your teammates towns.

I can't understand how one wouldn't cheat in the undead campaign in restoring erathia when the computer cheats itself by somehow affording or finding 67 arch angels! I mean wtf. I enjoy not being fiercely competitive with the AI and just exploring the map but after this I restarted that campaign level and attempted to rush the AI only to be thrown up against hordes and even a zound of units, particularly archers. This is medium difficulty! Wtf.
