*** I had to remove the Top Of The Pops clip that had live audio (copyright block), trust me you are not missing much, it was terrible and was not even the real RAH Band ****
@@DadgeCity Yeah, tell me about it!. I don't always edit in the one session so go back and forth over a few days sometimes to the point I just want to get the video finished, then end up spotting either missing a words or typo's after posting the video, in this post Chruch and weeks....I have a mounting of vinyl to get through so if I don't see it pre posting, it stays, unless I see it while uploading or within a few minutes of posting....
@@MikeyDeloaFor a while we seemed to be unable to get the Top Of The Pops video of the 70s imaginary Rah Band. I am very glad to see it here. How we can miss some things when they disappear!
Thanks, a great track that still sounds as good today as it did in 77, back in that summer I had my first summer job aged 14 working at a fairground on the dodgems, The Crunch was always getting played, and the song obviously reminds me of that summer, my pay per day, £3 and tax free, those were the days!!!!!
My 17 year old self saw The Rah Band on Top Of The Pops and liked their punk bin liner image without realising they were not the real McCoy. I was disappointed when I discovered that they were like The Banana Splits, not a real band.
In 1976 there was a tabloid report on then new punk fashion, consisting of dirt cheap bin liners! I think the fake Rah Band must have seen that fashion report and been inspired to dress as they did on Top Of The Pops.
When Clouds Across The Moon came out in 1985 I thought surely that can’t be The Rah Band, it sounds nothing like The Crunch. Clouds Across The Moon came out in 85, and Richard is now 85!
Gracias Felipe, aunque a veces no puedo recordar todo lo que tengo, o peor, sé al 100% que tengo una canción pero no la encuentro, esto generalmente significa que se la presté a un amigo hace muchos años y la olvidé. al respecto.

Pity about the typo in the text

When I discovered the Rah Band- as I thought they were- didn’t exist that was another illusion shattered, I thought their image suited this song.😢
Same here...I was like. Perfect 70's new wave sci Fi . This Is Great 😅

@@ianellis-ih3dd You are right about missing something great when it is gone. ☺️
One of, or THE greatest tracks of the century. Energizing mystifying synthesizing. Top class

Is this the same Rah band that that made Clouds across the Moon?
Yes, though in this 1977 TOTP clip appearance, it is not the real band, they were put together by the Record label.
Richard A Hewson , record producer, now 85 years old
