55 years ago, I had to endure my Momma's "story shows". Talk about a flashback! Biggest memories where it took years for someone to pass only to re-emerge as they miraculously recovered after falling off a cliff, into wave crashed shores only to be recovered by a whaling vessel.
I can relate! When I was about 1 or 2, the "trouble making vixen" on my mother and grandmother's favorite soap had a baby, yet, by the time I started the 2nd grade, he was a teenager, going away to military school.
Such drama! Such passion! So many emojis! You must make continue this. How else will we know what happens to Lydia and Henry? And will Marlena recover? Such suspense! 😂😂😂❤❤❤
That's like my Mum watching Young and the Restless, but she calls it Young and the Useless. I always walk in, and ask in said character on the tv had been kidnapped for the fourth time. Everything is so predictable, even though I've never watch an episode in my life.
OMG You all hit this one out of the park!! 😂😂😂 All of you gave 110%! I am old and now afraid to text. LOL My friends and I always respond with the thumbs up emoji. We might be doomed……..😂😂😂😂. Keep these Sketch Cobblers coming. Loving them. ❤ 😊😊
I knew when we heard soap opera as the genre last week we were in for a wild ride! The melodramatic reading of the chosen line of dialogue was fantastic.
It is clear that everyone involved wit this not only accepted the assignment.. they understood and executed the assignment!!! Great job y'all!!!! ❤❤❤😂😂😂
That was fantastic! HAHA! I was wondering how you were going to fit in the line I suggested,"you git what you git and don't have a fit." LOL! I would love to take credit for it, but it came from my foster son years ago when he came to live with us. He wouldn't always have enough food at his home and definitely didn't have a choice of foods. That was his line he heard all the time from his mother. Instead of making it a sad thing, we turned it into a song and it made him giggle. He and his brother had a very happy ending and got to go live with their wonderful dad, but it was so fun while we had them with us.
I grew up watching All My Children. As soon as Talia walked in, all I could think was Erica Kane! This Sketch Cobbler is fantastic! We need a whole series of The Worried & the Anxious! And how did they say all those lines with a straight face?! Can we see the blooper reel? 🤣🤣🤣
When I was younger, I was watching shows like, "One Life to Live", "All My Children", "As the World Turns", and "General Hospital". I couldn't understand a doggone thing in any of them. But this is the funniest soap opera ever. Please keep on making us laugh, okurrrr? Love ya (heart emoji) LOL ❤
honestly, this clip should be the first part of a weekly never ending series like a tv soap opera. there was more entertainment from this video than i have seen on tv in the last few years! i love the cheese and absurdity! it really gives lots of charm.
This is absolutely hilarious! Yet another one that I will be coming back for repeat viewing. As funny as it is, I can't help but also think about how true to life it is, at least for me (the text anxiety, anyway, haha!) Can't wait for the next one!
Y'all need to do a sketch on southern emojis, like: the "bless your heart" emoji; or the "Saturday afternoon college football go away don't bother me emoji"; of the oppossum "here's what I really think of you hot dish at the last pot luck" emoji; the Dollar General emoji; the "that's good gossip" emoji as a reply to texts, etc...
I missed this and I am dumbfounded as how? This sketch was top notch entertainment and I am going to binge watch whatever I can. y'all are doing an awesome job! keep up the great content .
I just found your content. I am impressed by the writing, and it's awesome to see a small team coming together in a production like this. I am intrigued to learn how it all got started.
It's basically its own dialect, really. The offense of periods in texts is SO real! I actually read a study about it in one of my psych classes. People don't really have a problem with periods in other communications, like emails, but when it comes to text messages people tend to find a period just curt, rude, and unfriendly. It's weird, but true. I'd rather not use punctuation at the end of my text at all than put a period and appear impolite. Yeah, text etiquette is strange, and crosses generations. I'm a middle-millennial, and My mom's early gen X, and she takes as much offense to a period on a text as anyone else! 😂
Also, even if my spelling isn't always perfect, I can't stand to write anything less than full sentences, with proper grammar, in my texts. I'm a long-form texter which probably drives some people nuts. However, I am partially blind so never was able to text on my old flip phones, so never got in the habit of shortening my texts. Also, I write all my texts with Braille Screen Input so I end up writing a lot in very little time ... kind of like what I'm doing right now.
@@scallywag1716 Beats me! It's just a text thing, like a period comes down sort of ... heavily. it's kind of nuts; I take no offense, but people seem to read into periods a bit too much. Like I said, it's just a weird quirk of texting. This skit wouldn't have been as funny as it was if it didn't have a nugget of truth to it. It perfectly explains how weird people can be about texts, if in an exaggerated way.
The Worried & The Anxious should be a recurring series
Agreed 💯!
Definitely 😊😅😂
It is a fitting representation of soap operas! 😂😂😂
I do love what they do? But they also would make a great tv series. But also love that if they stay here.
I love all these but especially the church sketch they did a few times like a soap opera, every vid is so well done ❤❤❤
Talia wins the Emmy for that entrance and faint (exclamation point)
That’s what we’re saying!!!
Hilarious 😂
This is the best piece of cinema we've gotten all year 😂😂
UA-cam > Disney > Hollywood.
Well i did enjoy Deadpool & Wolverine, but this was done really well. The Worried and the Anxious should be a regular show
Fantastic!! The eyes, the looks, the pauses... all without missing a beat!
That was worthy of Carol Burnett's 'As the Stomach Turns' :)
LOL! Y'all nailed that! My wife was listening from the other room, dying laughing.
"The Worried & The Anxious"
I can already tell I'm gonna relate to this, harder than I'd like. 😅
It’s ok. This is a safe space 😂
SAME.

Not her saying "what are you doing?!" as if she had forgotten she was in the house! 😂😂
That thumbs up was heart breaking.
It be yo own people 🫠🫠🫠
This skit feels like a condensed version of a Drama television show that was meant to air on LifeTime with 8 seasons and a movie
And a 12 part docu-series where we find out the cast hated each other
@@ItsaSouthernThing Same!
@@ItsaSouthernThing With that being said will we ever get a part 2 or will we be forever left on that cliffhanger?

Got into trouble with the wife because of that!

Extra points for using whatever camera rig soaps use.

Lol.
But, WAIT! There’s more!
🤣😂
I heard the theme music comments from the announcer on "Soap" as I read this!
😂😂😂 Every line was perfectly predictable! Takes me back to mom watching General Hospital before bootin' us out the door before we get more chores.

Yeah, I’m sorry but we’re going to need the next episode asap. I’m 6 minutes in and already addicted.
Better then anything that comes out of hollywood!
The heart monitor when it beeped, all I heard it say was “Same. Same. Same. Same.”😂😂
Well done! Kept us in suspense the whole time and now we neeeed a part 2!!
It is clear that everyone involved wit this not only accepted the assignment.. they understood and executed the assignment!!! Great job y'all!!!! ❤❤❤😂😂😂
The pan up at the beginning... so nailed the genre
i really hope there is another installment. This was honestly genius. Taking that kind of prompt and making something truly special with it.
I’m loving all this..very fun and creative! Cheers
Whoops..forgot emojis..🤣🤪🤔👍🙄🫣😎
I love these “Sketch Cobblers”! Genius!
Just needed a old school Dynasty fight. 😂
It could have been on Hallmark. All it lacked was some snow and a dog.
And hot chocolate. And ice skating. 😁😁😁
And a gazebo!
It usually takes 10 actual years for a character to get out of a 4 year coma but y’all did it in less than ten minutes. 👏
The scriptwriting and acting are both better than 90% of what's coming out of Hollywood these days. Er, I mean, !! ❤👍!!
Y'all nailed it! 👍
That first camera angle and movement and I knew I would love it. Amazing job!!
I need this to be a series! Like yesterday!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I love love love love love y'all! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I love these soap opera type skits you guys do! You even have the "soap opera effect" high frame rate down to a T!
We need a part 2 ASAP!

I love the dramatic setting😂❤
So do we 😂

That was the most captivating 6 minutes of my day, haha!
Oh my goodness! All the soap opera drama, as well as the texting drama...well done! This needs to be a recurring web drama.
I love the surprise ending. Talia played her part so well.

The acting is far superior than anything Hollywood puts out.
Incredible skit! I hope you'll bring us more content like this!
This was the best thing I've seen all week - I laughed so much at the thumbs up at the end
I always find it fascinating how serious people can take texts and yet use horrible spelling and grammar. So odd and yet fascinating.
