I never paid any attention to my eyebrows until I tried Boy Brow in clear. Now I use MAC's False Lashes Mascara, because I don't run through the tube quite as fast and it's a fraction of the price. But I credit Glossier for turning me onto doing literally anything at all with my brows to begin with!
Most people don't think of sunscreen till it's too late, unfortunately. also you never see makeup artists use sunscreen bc many think it "ruins the look" 😩 also it's hard to work with and they're going for a specific look where you can tell they didn't use sunscreen. :/
Hey, Mi! Could you perhaps have a person with acne&blemished skin try on glossy look? I want to know whether high-coverage and dewy looks can come together. Thanks! I always love your videos :)
i liked how even tho she was a glossier makeup artist, she didn't constantly push their products and act like "oH MY GAWD U NEED THIS RN ITS THE BEST THING IN THE WORLD!!11!" Also, your skin looks great Mi-Anne! I really liked how you were able to show how the Perfecting Skin Tint looks like in real life, and btw, you can use some of the Cloud Paints as bronzers too!! ;) Love your series!!
Serah Yeah I have textured skin with a few blemishes here and there and i love the look of light makeup but this is literally for people who have perfect skin. I wish I could get this look!
Caitlyn Clark yeah I have some light scarring , some angry under the skin pimples and a decent amount of hyper pigmentation. I try to get a facial with a peel and microdermabrasion a few times a year. I find that it helps a bit.
As far as the texture goes glossier products are great because the complexion products dont collect around tiny pimples under skin and the highlight and blush is a cream so theyre not affected by texture. For the acne and scarring I wouldnt say the skin tint is your best bet but the concealer is absolutely amazing its more of a medium coverage but super buildable. Glossier products arent as simplified and minimal as they seem I think theyre products are great but theyre marketing SUCKS. When you see the pictures you see these gorgeous women with nearly perfect skin but the truth is most of their products work for everyone. They want to keep a very polished brand appeal which I disagree but at the end of the day the products are what matter and most of them do truly work for EVERYONE. Especially if youre used to a full coverage very matte and dry makeup routine youll be shocked when you see the dewy "natural" "glossier face" on yourself and how amazing it works for everyone. And trust theres nothing better for textured skin than cream makeup because powder collects in pores and around pimples and accentuates the texture
When my skin was very pitted amd scarred I definitely preferred and still think light makeup was better Full coverage made me look like a toad and felt even more gross thinking of everything that was locked in with my skin I'm also very happy now that I was pretty gentle with my skin now it's so much better haha
Katie made a really good point that you can customize the coverage to whatever your needs are (which is why she used the Laura Mercier concealer). I personally really like keeping things dewy in the glossier fashion, but then loading up the coverage on my breakouts and scars! Thanks so much for watching
Mi-Anne Chan I disagree on that because if you aren't someone who suffers from dark circles like you or Katie it's easier. I have dark circles and need the coverage under my eye so with such a large space covered it looks odd. it's one thing to spot conceal for build up it's another to be covering hyperpigmentation or dark circles
ashley G if you take the time to color correct and REALLY spot conceal (ala lisa eldrige) you can do this. mostly people see this look and expect to put in little effort, but that’s not the case. you put the work in to get the result you want to see, or you don’t.
Agreed, Nessa! With the right techniques you can definitely conceal dark circles and acne spots without looking caky! Lisa eldridge is a great person to point out! She's incredible. But either way, I appreciate y'all for watching!
I.....hate makeup artists that apply skincare like makeup. I saw her doing someone else’s skincare routine and she was putting a vitamin c serum on the high points for a “glow”...that’s not how that works mama
Ana Heim that’s actually exactly how it works, keeping skincare where it’s needed helps a lot with getting a good skin look. Slathering everything all over your face can really make people very oily
Gialina Morten I LOVE the concealer so much. It looks natural but you can build it up. It does crease pretty easily but if you set it right away it should be fine, and if you don’t set it you can always just tap your warm fingers on the product and it’ll make it look nice again through out the day!
Looks good, but this is basically an ad for Glossier products. I guess I should have expected that, given Glossier is on the title... Would have liked to see the Glossier-style using more accessible and affordable products
Hiiiii! I actually wrote a story a while back with some similar products to glossier's! Check it out below :) We wanted to see how Katie uses the products (especially since she did the makeup for some of the campaigns), but you can definitely take Katie's tips and apply them to a bevy of different makeup products! Thanks for watching :) www.refinery29.com/glossier-skin-makeup-artist-tips
GIRL WTF YOU HAVE NO SPOTS AND NOT EVEN UNDER-EYE BAGS. YOUR SKIN IS PERFECT. I HAVE ACNE FOR YEARS. So please stop acting like you have awful skin. Thanks.(no hate do whatever you want you look amazing with or without makeup)❤️️❤️️
You remind me of Miki Berenyi from the band Lush back in the day. Only her hair is red rather than Pink. Your makeup looks really beautiful here. I can’t wait for women to use more makeup that accentuates their own beauty than beats it into oblivion.
I never thought of cream highlighter the way she talked about it, it makes a lot of sense!I liked the looks before the eyeliner, but I understand feeling naked without it.
I love the third look that you came up with when you combined some of your own favorite products to make it more you! (Isn't that what makeup is all about?!) I'm pretty new to Glossier, but I'm almost halfway through my tube of Gen G in Crush and I really like the Wowder, too. Thanks for the great video and have a wonderful day!
Love this look over the ugly “Instagram” makeup. My skin is far from perfect but I always find it improves I don’t wear foundation for a week or so. It’s such a great daily look and makes you feel gawjus.
make sure u wash ur face at least twice a day, don't skip moisturizer, and just powder wherever gets oily (but not too much powder if u want to still be glowy, i recommend just the t-zone area!!)
The pink hair still catches me off guard, but in the best way, it suits you SO WELL! As did this makeup look, gorgeous, and it was cool to see you adapt it into your own style =)
Glossier trend is another to tackle face contouring. The general beauty trends aim to mold people’s face shape into model perfection, but what about enhancing individual facial features??? Maybe baby face is in or uneven brows really popular??
No hate, you look gorgeous 💕 But... videos like this breaks my heart because it seems like makeup only looks good on clear skin :') Praying for a day I'd be able to rock the glossier look.
I have the glossier skin tint, and wowder. Personally I really like the Mac next to nothing foundation it’s like a better version of glossier skin tint for women of “ethnic” skin tones which I am.
I'm curious to try Boy Brow, I would probably layer it over a brow powder I'm really loving your pink hair, you should do a video of your next touch up at the salon
Omg you read my mind ;) Stay tuned for more hair updates! And yes! I find that boy brow helps beef up brows slightly, but before my eyebrows were microbladed, I used to layer it over a brow pencil for more coverage!
I love boy brow! I couldn’t stand doing my brows with a pencil so I just left brows off my routine for the longest time. But now I use boy brown it’s great for a daily look and super easy
Her skin is absolutely glowing but the actual makeup look as a whole (done by the artist) was not flattering. The eyeshadow was dusty and the mascara was poorly applied.
Maryann Nardelli just be happy you have oily skin after your body stop producing oil you will be headed straight to wrinkle town. I have dry skin so oil makes me look 10 times younger then my age. I’ve been almost kicked out bars I would have to shove my ID in there face to show them I’m actually 30.
I like it. From another makeup artists perspective I love this a lot more than you’re basic Instagram look. Looks like this also photograph better as powder just doesn’t look as nice in hd photography.
Could you make a things i wish I had known when I was starting to use make up video? Like, totally beginners, for people who are super new to make up... like me!
You can customize coverage! Try pinpoint concealing with a fuller coverage concealer (love this video on it by Lisa Eldrdige). You can also use a fuller coverage foundation instead of tinted moisturizer, but keep it dewy with a nice highlighter and minimal powder!ua-cam.com/video/7Pv7B2NirqU/v-deo.html
Do you rock the Glossier face? What are your favorite products? Comment below!
Refinery29 haven't bought anything from them yet but i have my eye on their lid stars😊

I never paid any attention to my eyebrows until I tried Boy Brow in clear. Now I use MAC's False Lashes Mascara, because I don't run through the tube quite as fast and it's a fraction of the price. Haze cloud paint💜
Love all the serums!!!
WHY bother with an anti-aging serum if you're not going to use a sunblock after an exfoliating acid??? Oh dear.
Sher Maine Exactly. Sunscreen is the first defense to anti-aging besides a healthy diet.
Is it an BHA that she used?
Because this is just a commercial for Glossier.. nothing more.
jason whitton that’s weird tho because glossier has a sunscreen
Most people don't think of sunscreen till it's too late, unfortunately. also you never see makeup artists use sunscreen bc many think it "ruins the look" 😩 also it's hard to work with and they're going for a specific look where you can tell they didn't use sunscreen. :/
holy SKIN! your skin is gorgeous in this video, i neeeed the highlight
omg thank you!!! the highlighter is so gorgeous, i've been wearing it everyday since this challenge!
Where? That mole is gross! Ain’t gorgeous at all
Arch stfu
Julia Nell I
trust me
The Highlighter and cloudpaint are must have glossier products❤️
1:22 she sounds so shady 😂
Bethan Hanslip especially when she said “break a leg” at the end...cringe
God is A meme how?
Hey, Mi! Could you perhaps have a person with acne&blemished skin try on glossy look? I want to know whether high-coverage and dewy looks can come together. Thanks! I always love your videos :)
check out @thataylaa's videos. she had acne and prefers dewy looks and has hundreds of foundation review videos!
‘I mean...’ *scans her up and down with a disapproving look* I think you did it’ with sarcasm
Agreed! She was strange with very... glossy ass lips
*America wants to know your location*
Well no offense but that top is just ugly. Shes cute and could have "gussied herself up" with something nicer.
Knew I wasn’t the only one who thought this

Katie Jane Hughes is amazing! Your skin looks gorgeous ❤
I love her so much! Thanks for watching, April!
Mi-Anne Chan No problem! I look forward to this every Monday 😊
Never miss a Monday with Mi
Beauty with Mi is the only thing holding this channel up. Go Solo gurl, you'd make it.
how to get the trendy glossier look: just buy a bunch of glossier products
I mean technically that's how it works but you can definitely achieve the look with other products
CAME HERE TO SAY THIS
Soap brows, cream blush, concealer, bit of highlighter, lip balm, mascara is how u get the "look"
Wow Katie Jane Hughes talks the fastest of any human being I've ever heard. I thought I'd accidentally put the video on fast forward.
Me too!
Love Katie Jane Hughes!! Also your skin looks FANTASTIC
