(Apologies if this is too long.) To fight erlang, you must complete all the secret areas in each chapter For chapter one, to access the secret area, you must ring the bells at the arenas of guanzhi, the purple guy with the snakes (cannot spell name),and the whiteclade noble Once you do this, you will be teleported to a temple Walk up the temple gates and fight the elder jinchi boss killing jinchi will make the wandering wight dissappear if you haven't defeated him To access the chapter 2 area, you must complete the drunken boars quest You must go to the man in the stones shop and purchase a sobering stone Go back to the boar and he will get up Exhaust his dialog and head to the crouching tiger temple Once you find him there, he will ask for a jade lotus Give him the jade lotus and exhaust all his dialog again Head back to his first location and fight his brother You will now have access to the kingdom of sahali area Defeat the "tiger vanguard" and fuban bosses there It will reward you with the wind tamer vessel that can disable yellow wind sages attacks For chapter 4, you must go to the shattered jade pool and fight the odd cocoon and venom daoist If you break 4 of his arms, you will get an armguard Somewhere later in the chapter you will find him again Defeat him once more to gain access to the purple cloud mountain There you can choose to fight the scorpion lord boss If you don't, he will help you with the duskveil boss Across the way, you will find a man in a white mask This is optional but he will ask for an item that you can get from defeating the nearby enemies Give it to him and fight him to get a transformation Go up the mountain until you find the duskveil Scorpion lord will help you in phase one unless you killed him Kill the duskveil and you get an item that helps with the hundred eyed daoist's fight For chapter 5, you must defeat the carts and then at the final shrine before the red boy/yaksha king boss you must head back a little till the path diverges You will find an optional boss called Flint Vanguard He serves no purpose to get to the area but he's there Go further until you find the next shrine I recommend resting there There you will find the rusty gold cart Defeat it, and you get access to the chapter 5 secret area Defeat the bosses there till you get to the buishi beast There's a wall of ice behind him If you can get him to break it, you can get an easier version of the fight where instead of fire he uses ice Defeat him and get to the cutscene at the end of the secret level Go to the great pagoda and you should see the blue robed toddler buddha (can't spell name) then you can get to the mount Mei secret area Rest at the shrine there At the top of the mountain, you will find erlang Be aware erlang is very difficult I'm not the best at telling how to get there so it's prob better to find a video on how to get to the secret areas
No you just gotta reach chapter 6, i did not+ without doing all secret areas and still got it, you have to play to Chapter 6 and the go to the great pagoda
How did you fight him? I went through the whole game without fighting this dude
(Apologies if this is too long.)
To fight erlang, you must complete all the secret areas in each chapter
For chapter one, to access the secret area, you must ring the bells at the arenas of guanzhi, the purple guy with the snakes (cannot spell name),and the whiteclade noble
Once you do this, you will be teleported to a temple
Walk up the temple gates and fight the elder jinchi boss
killing jinchi will make the wandering wight dissappear if you haven't defeated him
To access the chapter 2 area, you must complete the drunken boars quest
You must go to the man in the stones shop and purchase a sobering stone
Go back to the boar and he will get up
Exhaust his dialog and head to the crouching tiger temple
Once you find him there, he will ask for a jade lotus
Give him the jade lotus and exhaust all his dialog again
Head back to his first location and fight his brother
You will now have access to the kingdom of sahali area
Defeat the "tiger vanguard" and fuban bosses there
It will reward you with the wind tamer vessel that can disable yellow wind sages attacks
For chapter 4, you must go to the shattered jade pool and fight the odd cocoon and venom daoist
If you break 4 of his arms, you will get an armguard
Somewhere later in the chapter you will find him again
Defeat him once more to gain access to the purple cloud mountain
There you can choose to fight the scorpion lord boss
If you don't, he will help you with the duskveil boss
Across the way, you will find a man in a white mask
This is optional but he will ask for an item that you can get from defeating the nearby enemies
Give it to him and fight him to get a transformation
Go up the mountain until you find the duskveil
Scorpion lord will help you in phase one unless you killed him
Kill the duskveil and you get an item that helps with the hundred eyed daoist's fight
For chapter 5, you must defeat the carts and then at the final shrine before the red boy/yaksha king boss you must head back a little till the path diverges
You will find an optional boss called Flint Vanguard
He serves no purpose to get to the area but he's there
Go further until you find the next shrine
I recommend resting there
There you will find the rusty gold cart
Defeat it, and you get access to the chapter 5 secret area
Defeat the bosses there till you get to the buishi beast
There's a wall of ice behind him
If you can get him to break it, you can get an easier version of the fight where instead of fire he uses ice
Defeat him and get to the cutscene at the end of the secret level
Go to the great pagoda and you should see the blue robed toddler buddha (can't spell name) then you can get to the mount Mei secret area
Rest at the shrine there
At the top of the mountain, you will find erlang
Be aware erlang is very difficult
I'm not the best at telling how to get there so it's prob better to find a video on how to get to the secret areas
