Spotted Fawns and Momma Deer

The more gentle side of the woods. These creatures will not bite, sting or eat you. This family of deer passed by in June 2024. Notice how cautious mom is before bringing the babies forth? What a good mom. These little black tail deer were likely born in the spring and have been learning life in the woods since. They are still sporting their spots for camouflage and do not venture far from mom the first year. It's a good thing, this same camera captures mountain lions quite often, although not this month.
