Thanks for doing this. I have been using the Trader Joe's dupe of Supergoop Unseen and was debating splurging, but I'll keep my money. I'm an oily girl so anything that makes me more oily is a no for me.
Such a great review! Thanks for posting it! Have you tried BGS for an extended period of time since filming this video? I am worried that it may clog my pores more than the Supergoop does.
This is fair! After the video I didn’t end up repurchasing it because I didn’t like the texture as much. I have been using the Trader Joe’s one instead because it’s cheaper than both and also oil free!!
Try using mineral sunscreens. The difference between Mineral vs Chemical sunscreens is how the sunscreens block rays. So when you’re sweating or feel your eyes burning with a chemical sunscreen, it’s because the rays are being expelled in like an evaporation kind of way. Mineral sunscreen blocks the rays in the way light bounces off a mirror in a physical way, hence no burning (most cases). Cetaphil has a liquid mineral sunscreen that doesn’t have that white cast and I use it for this very reason! Also an oily girl if that’s relevant lol
You really need way more to tell how it will really look on your skin. That amount won’t give sun protection or tell how you’ll look at the end of the day with the appropriate amount on.
@@MissCareyBabyyy Hi. The standard is 2 fingers for face, neck and ears or a 1/4 teasp. But that can be too much if you have a small face or how much you put on your fingers. Glow By Ramon has a video that tells how to measure your face for the real amount. It’s a good video. I now use a little more than one finger. My face is a little larger than his and he uses 1 finger I think.
Hi! I’m on the oily side. Both performed similarly. I liked applying the supergoop more as far as texture is concerned. However when I did the wear test in the video the black girl sunscreen was a bit less oily at the end of the day. It depends on your personal preference!
Great video! Helped me to decide between the two. Definitely ordering the make it matte!
Thank you so much! Glad it helped you!
Thanks for the honest review ❤
You are so welcome!!

How is ur experience with Trader Joe’s though? Im oily too..
@@anulekhavardhanapu8504 the Trader Joe’s version is good. But it’s a sunscreen only so you need a moisturizer underneath. The price can’t be beat.
I have been using the Trader Joe’s one too! It’s cheaper than both AND oil free!! It’s a gem!
Thank you ❤
You’re welcome!! Thank you for watching! 🫶🏾
I LOVE this reviewww

The video I was looking for thank you 🥰🥰🥰🎉🎉🎉
You’re so welcome Kenisha! Thank you for watching!
How does the Black Girl Matte compare to the regular/original Black girl sunscreen?
It’s supposed to be for more oily skin! But I haven’t tried it!
Omg your skin is so perfect. What facial cleanser do you use? What’s the secret?
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. I use Cerave for cleansers. But I can do a skincare video of everything I use if you would like Jasmine!
@@MissCareyBabyyy i would. Lmk when you upload!
@@MissCareyBabyyy PLEASE do!!! Your skin is flawless.
Yes please upload a full skincare routine!
My spite with the Unseen Sunscreen is that it burns my eyes when I sweat or when it runs. Did either burn your eyes when you went to the gym?
Yes! This happens with a lot of the sunscreens I have been using. I have to be very careful not to get close to my eyes!

You sure they’re not just talking about the sunscreen mixing with their sweat and ending up in their eyes as it runs down their face?
That's weird. I just got Supergoop after using Make it Matte for a while and I get all the shine from BGS but non from Supergoop!
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Awesome review 😊

Thanks for your comment! How much should I use?

Yes very true it takes way more to get the protection you need from the sun, the sun is brutal on our skin
Thank you!
Did you moisturize your skin first before applying the sunscreens ?
Yes, definitely!
Do you think the sunscreen would be enough moisturizer?🤷♀️
Omg you are absolutely beautiful Godbless you I just found this video 🙏🌹
Thank you so much Samely! ❤️❤️ you’re so sweet!
Great review!
Thank you so much!
Quick question, are you more on the dry skin side or oily? And which one would you prefer for oily skin types?
