Very beautiful Peter, I love that you’re using plates♥️ I ordered some Weld Bond glue from England, hope to receive it soon so I can make some mosaics on wood 🪵☺️ Take care my dear friend and wish you all the best in this world ♥️☮️
Thanks so much Marinella, I do love working with plates they have some lovely textures and designs. I use Weldbond sometimes I hope you receive it quickly from England. All the best and much peace for you and your family. 😊🌹🙏
I actually watched part 2 first. It's neat to see how you plan out and easily change things in it if it doesn't suit you. Both videos are helpful. Thank you Peter! I'm always inspired to make something after you remind me how fun the process is!
Thanks very much Tonya I am so happy that you've been inspired, the journey and creating the piece is fun. I have done the same thing and watched videos out of order but it still works. Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching. 😊
Thankyou so much, it generally gets me to where l need to go even though the finished mosaic is sometimes completely different. 🤣 Thanks for watching appreciate it. 😊
The China you chose produces a lovely old world charm so far… but whether it’s Apoxie Sculpt or Prep - or whatever - do you need to prep that kind of substrate to stop it sucking moisture from the glue?
Thankyou so much Wendy, I did seal the frame front and sides with a mixture 50/50 Weldbond and water. I don't always do that when I use Apoxie Sculpt but using Prep, MAC or Weldbond then I definitely do. Thanks for watching and appreciate your comment. 🙂
It's lovely so far but I can't bring myself to cut up my china even if it's single saucers, cups, etc. I want to but can't! Extending cut lines on the substrate was a new tip for me.
Thanks so much, l know a lot of people think the same and the crockery is beautiful as is but if it’s not being used or looked at it might as well be repurposed. That’s my train of thought mind you l wouldn’t cut up a perfectly good antique dinner set that has been handed down and cherished by people before me. I have one of those and wouldn’t cut it up. Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching. 😊

Peter, did you seal the wooden frame before you put the crockery on? The crockery looked tightly put together.
Yes I sealed the frame with 50/50 Weldbond and water and I like to have my tess very close together with all my mosaics. Thanks for watching. :)
