Hi Steve, It is the best video about the P1456 Honda code I found on UA-cam. Short, informative, and nothing extra. I fixed my 1998 Honda Accord problem using your method A (WD-40). I tried to clean my gas cap with gasoline before but it didn't work. Fortunately, WD-40 worked very well, thanks to you! Leonid
I have this code popping up in a 2002 Nissan Sentra SER. I believe it is the fuel bypass check valve next to the charcoal canister, or vacuum switching valve...
Have this code on a 98 Honda Civic. It’s been smoke tested with no visible leaks. The gas cap, 2-way valve, and bypass valve have been replaced with no difference. The only clue I have is when the outside ambient temps are high (70 degrees or more) the system passes and the code doesn’t register. Anything colder and it comes back
Hello, we suggest taking your vehicle to your local mechanic for visual inspection of the related parts. This is to avoid misdiagnosis and to ensure the proper solution on the issue.

Hi Greg, kindly inspect the fuel tank pressure sensor and the charcoal canister if faulty. Make sure to clean the gas cap.
