Beautiful arrangement. Sorry if you said this already but the Tip Over issue is easily taken care of with wall anchors that don't cost a lot at all. The hanging rods are keeping the book cases from being close enough to the wall to do this. Usually the rods are anchored where the holes on the edge are, myb even with added safety and stability of wood bars like the ones you painted over in the original closet set up. Once those two things are done you have a reinforced closet. I heard a lady say she did this and one night she came in to find everything on the floor. It doesn't cost much and home depot and lowe's both cut wood to size so you can put them inside your book cases to keep the rods from collapsing. Rods have a weight limit and so do the bookcases. Best wood reinforcement is the T shape. HTH! GREAT JOB!

You can also look into anchoring them on the sides to the existing pieces on the wall that you couldn't remove

How did it work by u cutting the piece of the shelf out for your dresses….did that mess with the bookshelf in anyway
I actually decided not to cut it after all because the dresses don’t look bad at all with that middle section there.
