  • Today's biohack is Whole Body Vibration Training (WBVT). WBV Training is a way to hack time, strength, and natural hormones to take your fitness regimen to the next level. www.bulletproof.com/whole-body...
    As people busy with work, family, and play it is difficult to fit normal fitness regimens into a schedule unless you are willing to commit a lot of time and effort. Most people would rather save that time and effort for other things.
    Whole Body Vibration Training can boost your fitness, strength, tone, strength, flexibility and range of motion all in a time-efficient manner.
    Like 15 minutes.
    That is what you can call a fitness hack - more benefits, less time.

    I think I found another benefit the vibe offers. I caught a nasty cold -- tried to head it off with zinc lozenges, a sinus rinse, etc., but still became really congested. I decided on a whim to see if standing on our Vibe would help break up the congestion. It turns out that small adjustments in posture as you stand on the vibe can change where you feel the most vibration. You can find a sweet spot where your head gets an awesome buzz, and others have a somewhat lesser effect in the chest. Anyway, thick congestion seemed to liquefy remarkably, allowing me to expel the stuff with much less coughing, hacking, snorting, and blowing. Try it!

    I purchased a cheaper vibrating plate. Actually it doesn't really vibrate instead it rocks side to side. I have been experiencing some of the benefits that Dave talks about. Not as intense. If money is not an issue, jump on board with Dave's recommendations. I can't wait to get mine. In the meantime I'm rocking out at least twice a day.

    How I got here you might ask, well after thinking I was going to die for a couple of hours because of this feeling vibrations through out my body and finally realizing that an old fan that is by my window was making vibrations strong enough to make my bed vibrate too!. I started to wonder what if this vibration have a good effect on the body and he we are.

      It's Triplanar or linear/"lineal" and they are the same from the perspective of your body -- you wouldn't notice the horizontal motion in the machine, but the whole thing will tend to float around a few inches on the floor, while you're using it.

    Having survived a massive hemorrhagic stroke in 2008, and having an athletic lifetime, I am very curious about the specific results applicable to a stroke survivor using WBV Training. I suspect many TBI and Stroke researchers would be intrigued and, hopefully, sufficiently so to formally research it.

    • @lloydshaw6534
      @lloydshaw6534 8 років тому

      Most of the research on strokes has been done in China and Korea. But you need a Pivotal unit to properly retrain proprioreception...... I use a mixture of both depending on what a persons issue is.

    • @BillyEthridge
      @BillyEthridge 8 років тому

      Lloyd, my key issue (at almost age 68) is having about (intuitively) 50% paralysis on the entire right side of my body. When I had a stroke in Sept. 2008, the number was 100%.
      I can walk without a cane, though not easily or gracefully! (My background includes a near-lifetime of martial arts as well as ample sport activity.)
      The origin of the stroke was an injury many years ago. I have no heart or other known major health issue.

    • @lloydshaw6534

      You need to get a Low Speed Pivotal unit with side handle bars. Google.. Vibration Training Advice .... and look at the Review section on that site..... Then look on EBay or similar to see if you can find a unit that fits that description ..... That site also has a forum I will answer questions on as well.... Or find my email address. I am not hard to find....... I can tell you exactly how to use the unit from physio through to some proper training over time if you want.

    • @vibratation3040
      @vibratation3040 4 роки тому +1

      Has to be AC motor, because it's plugged into your wall outlet and very likely wouldn't convert to DC for a motor. EMF isn't an issue at low frequencies. It's microwave that's dangerous.

    Hypervibe brand is WAY superior to any of this model. 10-17Gs depending on the model with full third party engineering confirmation of performance specs. Use "healthhacks" promo code at checkout for discount
    Just remember it's cheap and easy for a vibration plate company to make speed Hz...but if you have any kind of serious Gforce behind it that is also important for benefits...that takes real engineering.
    Ask this company for a third party verification of their specs (most companies lie about specs this is why you need to get a third party) and then compare it to Hypervibe you'll see the huge value difference. You also have to factor in Amplitude range of the plate in terms of how it works the body. I recommend a pivotal motion plate also as it works the CNS to greater activation due to how it destabilizes your body..think standing on a bosu ball while doing some sort of weight workout simultaneously versus doing that on the ground. Lineal motion plate is so easy to stand on you can do it with your eyes closed.
    I review brands in this category and all kinds of health equipment/wellness technologies for the last 10 years

I did prescribed antidepressants for a month and some alkaline water with a vibe machine for a week and after that week coincidently the pea powder I drank turned to bricks and wrecked my bung hole. No joke per se. I don't know know what the frequency was but if you ever need that vibe machine traced it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Also if you know anybody who like to throw away cash I could use a slim $100K for some bung hole surgery.

    Not a good machine. Little to no G-force. This is a linear plate going up and down, and not side to side, and less than 3mm. On a linear plate the vibration can get to the head and studies have shown can negatively affect retina. Best is a pivoting machine - side to side vibration.. doesnt get to the head!!!

      There are cheaper versions out there. I got one off Amazon for $200. It is a smaller footprint but works great!!! The strength I have built and bone density is amazing. It works so fast! Its easy, yet can be hard work with exercise on the machine. It works! I would go for a machine with no railings on the side because that limits you on what you can do. I stand on it, do squats, I do the arms on the machine thing but not pushups yet. It is amazing, but cheaper is fine.

      exactly - some of us work hard, prioritize our health and save money for things like this. Not to say others don't work hard...but to say some of us are privileged because we've tucked away our bucks is oddly divisive.
