Now that is what I call a contemporary, luxurious and beautiful house. I want the same design, but half the size of this house and that would be perfect for me. 7,500 Sq Ft is just too big for me. This house at 3,500 to 3,750 Sq Ft would be perfect!!!!

What happened to the portico? They could've turned that garage on its side where it's out of sight from the street. And then added a portico to drive under, that would've been beautiful!
You should make one without the talking aswell, not that I hate it, it’s great because it explains what is the purpose of specific rooms but still just a suggestion
100% great suggestion. I will do that. There were so many epic shots I had to cut out, so this should be good! What sort of music would you use with this type of house?

I believe it does. but you have to pay land transfer tax on the property as well as the furniture. It amounts to over a hundred thousand dollars in many cases.
Is there some restriction for architects in Canada? Still haven’t seen anything on the level of Australian or English architecture (zainy and creative). These houses still have the same classic layout and frame, must be a Canadian restriction.
It’s not restrictions. It’s just how trends are here. They are more classical and not as creative. More trends gear towards high end materials rather creative style. It’s kinda sad but a lot are very finely crafted & sophisticated but lack character and whimsy. Not very Canadian tbh. But I think we take more from Scandinavian and historical styles.
Building code and municipal historical and permitting put a lot of constraints on how and what can be built. I know a house from 1890 that they wanted to add an extension on to that was in the same style and were willing to import stone from the same quarry in Europe. The city said no because it's a historical building. Anything you build must be built in a contemporary style and use a zinc panel on the outside, so it is clearly not part of the original building. It looks like the louvre and MOMA glommed together. Its hideous but that's what they were told to build. Go look at 85 Prince Arthur in Toronto on Google maps Streetview!
This was won on Princess Margeret Lottery and the lucky winners want to sell it. I did purchase a ticket but didn't win but I plan on building this similar house on the land I have.
Most lottery homes get sold because of the taxes and fees that must be paid by the winner. It could be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. It usually makes sense to sell the house paid the fees and taxes and then walk away with a few million and go buy a house you can afford.
@@W140MercedesS600 It will cost less to build new than buy this one. A good architect should e able to work up a decent set of plans for about 10% of the price of the house. I would double the number of plugs on the walls and add a smart home feature and a telecom/server room so all the media features, telecom, internet, and data jacks have somewhere to run to.
Love the outside but can’t say the same about the inside, for 5 mill I’ll still be investing thousands more just to get it the way I dream really wish house like this came as a blank canvas

Now this is a luxurious house, so beautiful inside and outside
I love the way its decorated, so soft on the eyes!
This has a nice homey warm feel to it unlike other places that feel cold due to excessive use of marble or similar material every where.
Beautiful! And the narration was exquisite! Silky smooth voice accentuated the narration of the tour and made a perfect joy to watch!

Gorgeous in every way, but is it really worth 5.4M?
No roof overhang? Gutter down sprouts are side of wall! Sky light on the flat roof. Hope it doesn't rain or snow often.
Looks like the 2020 Princess Margaret lottery show home..

Good point! Our guess would be that many people who work in the downtown core prefer to take the train in to avoid the heavy traffic in rush hour.
Those indoor balconies are so stupid.
After looking at Toll Brothers houses, this is not so impressive.
Why exactly the same house as the Princess Margaret house 😔
Trust me the roof design will be leaking the water
