Yes it is for the older generation. However, I can't see why,most of the entertainment is for all ages .The hotels are on the dear side, but you do have some nice hotels with some great facilities included.
There are a mixed age group that get there especially weekends when there are often family groups celebrating and the entertainment can be singers, 80s, 90s tributes. Weekdays are more retired people or older club, day centre groups coming for holidays, the gold entertainment is more for the older generation, they are often dancing well into the evening, lol.

Having just returned from a 4 night stay at Heythrop Park, this Studley Castle site looks surprisingly poor. Heythrop Park is far superior.
And of course no children might have something to do with the idea of it been only for the elderly ha ha.
