When pushing off the wall, she was more horizontal in the case she did the glide. Would this affect the speed, if yes then the speed difference could be greater? Assume you used much more data samples for this study, and these two were chosen for illustration.

Possibly, but each time we have repeated this test with different athletes, we have always seen the same result: .1 faster with no glide compared to short glide and .2 seconds faster with no glide compared to long glide, when testing to 5 meters.

When she glides, her first down kick ends below her body line, whereas when she doesn't glide, the first down kick ends within her body line.

Yes, but more important, the longer the glide, the more the knees bend for the first kick, causing excessive drag and deceleration.

My understanding of a glide off the wall is to break through your wake coming back at you from the previous lap. Test that

Interesting point! We will look into that

Yeah there’s drag factors at play here Gary, I’m not 100% sold.

No glide….no rest. She must suffer at least somewhat for the rest of the length when she kicks right off the wall. Time from wall to wall would be more illustrative of the advantage, if there is one. Ledecky goes faster (measured in m/sec) when she kicks, and yet she doesn’t kick in the 1500 because she completes the race quicker without kicking. Even the most elite athletes have physiological limits. In any case it’s all very interesting 😅
