Hello I just want to point out a few mistakes you have made in your calculation at 39:50. First of all starting with toy bonnie: What you were basically calculating here is the probability of toy bonnie having a failed movement in a scenario where he only gets 1 movement opportunity. What you failed to take into account is that toy bonnie doesn't just get 1 movement opportunity. He gets 3 of them. And with multiple movement opportunities also comes a higher chance of a failed movement. So in order to calculate the chance of toy bonnie not entering the vent we have to add up the chances of each individual scenario in which toy bonnie fails 1 movement. These scenarios are the following: 1. Toy bonnie fails his first movement but succeeds at his second and third: (1/4)*(3/4)*(3/4)=9/64 2. Toy bonnie fails his second movement but succeeds at his first and third: (3/4)*(1/4)*(3/4)=9/64 3. Toy bonnie fails his third movement but succeeds at his first and second: (3/4)*(3/4)*(1/4)=9/64 Additionally we must also consider that toy bonnie can fail more than just 1 movement opportunity. So we must also consider all scenarios in which toy bonnie fails 2 movements: 4. Toy bonnie fails his first and second movement opportunity but succeeds at his third: (1/4)*(1/4)*(3/4)=3/64 5. Toy bonnie fails his second and third movement opportunity but succeeds at his first: (3/4)*(1/4)*(1/4)=3/64 6. Toy bonnie fails his first and third movement opportunity but succeeds at his second: (1/4)*(3/4)*(1/4)=3/64 And finally we need the probability of him failing all 3 of his movements: 7. Toy bonnie fails all 3 of his movement opportunities: (1/4)*(1/4)*(1/4)=1/64 If we add all of these chances together we get the following result: (9/64)+(9/64)+(9/64)+(3/64)+(3/64)+(3/64)+(1/64)=37/64≈57.81% This means that the chances of toy bonnie failing at least one of his movement opportunities are actually greater than the chances of him having 3 successful movement opportunities in a row. There is also a much simpler second way to arrive at this result: You can just calculate the probability of the opposite outcome (in this case the chance of toy bonnie entering the vent) and subtract the result from 1. Since the only scenario in which toy bonnie can enter the vent requires him to have 3 successful movement opportunities in a row we can actually calculate this fairly quickly: 8. Toy Bonnie succeeds in all 3 of his movement opportunities: (3/4)*(3/4)*(3/4)=27/64 1-(27/64)=37/64≈57.81% Now regarding Toy freddy: You basically made the same mistake you previously did with toy bonnie: Calculating the chance of toy freddy failing 2 movements in a scenario in which he only has 2 movement opportunities. The correct method of calculating the chances of toy freddy never entering the hallway is basically the same method I previously used for toy bonnie except this time we remove the scenarios in which toy freddy only fails 1 of his movements. So what we get is this: 1. Toy freddy fails his first and second movement opportunity but succeeds at his third: (1/4)*(1/4)*(3/4)=3/64 2. Toy freddy fails his second and third movement opportunity but succeeds at his first: (3/4)*(1/4)*(1/4)=3/64 3. Toy freddy fails his first and third movement opportunity but succeeds at his second: (1/4)*(3/4)*(1/4)=3/64 4. Toy freddy fails all 3 of his movement opportunities: (1/4)*(1/4)*(1/4)=1/64 Adding these together we get: (3/64)+(3/64)+(3/64)+(1/64)=5/32≈15.62% And now regarding mangle: You forgot to take into account that mangle can still fail movement opportunities. The 1/2 chance would only be correct if mangle was 100% guaranteed to move at every movement opportunity. There are 2 possible ways to calculate the probability that mangle doesn't enter the vent: The first method is to do the same thing I did with toy bonnie with the only difference being that we account for one additional scenario in which mangle succeeds at all 3 movement opportunities but fails her 1/2 chance. The second method is to calculate the probability of mangle entering the vent and subtract it from 1. Doing this we get: 1. Mangle succeeds at all 3 of her movement opportunities and at her 1/2 chance: (3/4)*(3/4)*(3/4)*(1/2)=27/128 1-(27/128)=101/128≈78.90% And lastly ragarding balloon boy and toy chica: They are the only 2 animatronics where you actually calculated the probability correctly. Since the only way for toy chica to not enter the hallway and for balloon boy to not laugh once requires them to fail all 3 of their movement opportunities they both have a 1/64 or 1.56% chance each. If we finally multiply all of these probabilities with each other we get the probability of all of these events happening at the same time: (37/64)*(1/64)*(5/32)*(101/128)*(1/64)=18685/1073741824 So assuming the movement paths you were showing in the video are correct the probability of Mark being innocent in this situation is about 0.00174% which is still incredibly low but almost 9 times bigger than the probability you calculated. I hope you found this comment helpful.
Shouldn't W. Bonnie also be taken into account since he didn't make any noise either? Also, the percentage calculated here and in the video is only true if every animatronic is at their furthest positions, which is extremely unlikely, making the probability even less
Somewhere in the Google Doc, its stated that the odds could be 1 in 2000. I wonder if those odds could be improved. I'd do the math myself but probability has always been a weak point for me.
This is probably the only essay I’ll ever read on UA-cam because it was interesting (or I’m a psycho and like math, but I doubt that, it was probably just because toy Bonnie was mentioned)
CTRL + S is extremely useful in Sister Location speedruns. It allows ypu to skip all dialouge by muting and unmuting it. It also skips unnecessary cutscenes.
I remember when I learnt about it for the first time from this channel I think, and I lost my mind. The reason being is that I remember trying to play FFPS with my friend on like New Year's Eve in 2021, and I played FFPS for like 50 hours before that, but somehow this time it was muted by default, and I thought something happened with my drivers. It was honestly really funny when I realised that muted audio skips salvage stages
but i honestly think of it as too big of a skip so much to become a cheat because the longer you wre in w salvage the more agressive the animatronics get which is why the salvages are so long but skiping that audio gets rid of the challenge
So in one of Mark's Fnaf Revisited livestreams, he learned about camera stalling and that it was in fnaf 1. So he went to test it, but had to start a new game. His chat had to teach him how to add completed days manually through altering the files, and he was practically in shock you could do that. It's way more likely that he just edited the star into the video because he edited his own videos at the time.
PLEASE make a follow up going into more detail about Mark cheating 10/20! It was really interesting and I absolutely LOVED the Ace Attorney edits! Edit: Some of y'all are saying "but he already got all of his points across in this video," and while that probably is true, he said "leave a comment if you want to see a more in-depth explanation on it," which I do.
@@AnarchyMitsukai Ah, that's fair! But hey, it would be another video to 'watch' while I work, and the tea would be more entertaining when given a proper video-length segment :D
9 and a half years ago I was telling people (with no hard evidence at all, naturally) that he cheated 10/20. This video was a transcendental experience for me.
ykno it makes so much sense that the first person to beat HP has a hollow knight profile pic. And another one looks to be a rain world pic. Bunch of masochists in those communities
@@KingPinTheBowler Hollow Knight is a souls-like metroidvania known for having some extremely difficult challenges, especially when mods are involved (see anyrad 3)
Same, it always sucks when you learn that someone you thought was a genuine person is capable of going to such lengths to cheat and lie. It's disappointing, but not unforgivable as it was almost 10 years ago
8:40 Scott gave Springtrap his name before FNAF 3 even released in a teaser saying something like "My children are play testing the game and the ********** is working really well." And somehow people decoded the message to fill the hidden word as Springtrap. Source trust me bro I remember hearing about this before FNAF 3 came out.
Your right I remember that too. There is a chance though that the files/code relating to Springtrap had already been fully finished prior to Scott deciding on a name for the animatronic. Hence why the game itself never uses the name despite the name being confirmed prior to release.
I know it's been like 3 weeks at this point but I came to a slight realization recently concerning the whole Mark cheating 10/20 thing. Keep in mind that I actually suspected him of cheating all the way back in 2014 because of the third star thing, but nobody really cared at that time so I never paid any more mind to it. So it's pretty obvious from your analysis that Mark is playing 4/20 at the end of the video and not 10/20 mode and that's why he gets the third star. However, notice how he checks his recording software after "winning" and goes "Please tell me everything is still recording...". Also notice as how in the previous episode (Night 6) he mentions taking a break because of his card filling up (ie he was running out of storage.) This makes me wonder if he had legitimately completed 10/20 but ran out of space during the winning attempt (or had the footage corrupt since he says "Please do not corrupt my video" in episode 1 of his FNAF 2 series after accidentally exiting the game) and decided to just record himself beating 4/20 instead of redoing 10/20. As you said, it's likely that he really just wanted to get the video out and did not want to potentially waste another 9+ hours trying to beat the mode again. The crossfade from the title screen to the Golden Freddy custom night screen was probably done to not make it obvious he had been doing 4/20 since it would have shown two stars next to the challenge's title, although this inadvertently made it more suspicious for the reasons you mentioned. As for the night skip code/editing the files, it's absolutely possible that he knew about one or both of these techniques at the time, but I have a bit of doubt about this. In one of his FNAF Revisited streams he did to promote In Space with Markiplier, he boots up FNAF 1 to test out camera stalling as he saw someone do it in UCN and learned it was possible in the first game too. During this, someone in chat told him how to do the night skip cheat and he seemed genuinely shocked when it worked. Why would he be shocked if he already knew about it from FNAF 2 and has used it to skip to 6AM in 10/20? Now, obviously, Mark could have just acted surprised to make it more believable that he hadn't cheated (he is an actor now, after all), but why would he care enough to act shocked 9 years after the fact? By that point, it's not like anyone watching really suspected him of cheating or really cared. This is all of course just speculation and there is no way to truly know if he cheated or not (and the way the video is edited really doesn't help his case), but I think it's a perspective worth considering as it doesn't seem that far-fetched.
It was 9 years ago. He could have forgot he already heard about the night skip from a game he played a decade ago among hundreds of games since. Especially if he didn't use that night skip cheat all the time. I have less youtube videos and I can't remember every detail concerning the ones I made a decade ago. It would be many times harder for Mark cuz he has waaaay more videos.
@@rosestar1324 This is also a reasonable take. Once again, it's impossible to know. Although considering how much he remembered about these games during those "Revisited" streams, I'd still wager there is a good chance he would have remembered there being a night skip cheat, even if he didn't recall exactly what it was.
Honestly, i feel like mark could have beat 10/20 legitimately but just played 20/20/20/20 mode afterwards and used that footage because the third gold star on the menu looks nice for UA-cam
@@YourLocalToaster999 Honestly he could have done that. It would be a bit silly to do that and not show the 10/20 victory if he had footage of it, though.
It’s finally about time that someone showed that 4/20 mode with Freddy on the stage all night is possible. I want to see more people pushing their limits in FNaF 1 like doing True Old Strat with power, Freddy on the stage all night, etc.
I love how everyone freaks out about Marks “king of fnaf” title like he put a ton of thought into it, and crowned himself the king cause he legitimately thought he was the world’s best player.
@@Gabriel_Ultrakillhe probably didn’t want to disappoint his fans and knew people would bug him about it if he didn’t beat it, so he just wanted to move on
Yeah, i really don't see how it's that big of a deal. Guy just wanted to get the video out instead of grinding out fnaf 2 all day getting that perfect toy bonnie RNG.
@@CheeseChurger I mean it really it comes down to: 1) Cheating is a Big Deal in speedrunning and challenge run communities. Most people who watch this channel are interested in those communities and are probably primed to think along that culture 2) Markiplier is a Big Deal in fnaf. Even though he isn't very involved in the games anymore, most of this channel's audience either knows him as a fnaf celebrity or has a lot of personal nostalgia for the markiplier fnaf days 3) A lot of the people who watch this channel are children lmao So even though it's really not a Dream minecraft speedrun type of situation at all, the idea of "markiplier cheated 10/20" is basically the perfect storm for scandal
@@incognitoburrito6020 I can see how it'd be a problem if it was figured out 10 years ago when the video was made. But it's been a decade and i just cannot see why people should make a big deal out of it now.
The mobile versions of FNAF games usually had a few more unused or exclusive screens that would appear when starting up the game or dying. I believe there were a few exploits to the mobile ports that weren't present in the main games. You could probably google "FNAF mobile exclusive screens" to see what I mean.
What’s funny is that in Fnaf 2 deluxe on gamejoint they added the toy chica blackout, and they even nerfed toy Bonnie, having him move as soon as the mask is on, just like toy chica
Funny thing with the Mark section, while the case you present definitely points to Mark cheating the 10/20 completion (the fact only Withereds show up and you get a third star for 4/20 is just too big to ignore) Mark DOES have very insane luck in FNAF 2, when he revisited it in 2022, he got a Shadow Bonnie proc LIVE, which is insanely rare. He most likely still cheated that original completion, but it was also 10 years ago, and way more impressive completions have been performed since then so hopefully people dont take this way more seriously than it actually is. Regardless, very fun and enjoyable video :)
@@m4rcyonstation93 I could fact check, but Shadow Bonnie is apparently a 1 in a million, but of course it ain't a 1 in a million once per night, it's most likely every time that you flip the camera down/every couple frames that you're in the office. So it is very low odds, but similarly to Golden Freddy in FNAF 1 who also had very low odds, it's a dice roll you're rolling with VERY high frequency, so the chances are in reality much lower than what they are coded.
I'm so happy to see DJ Sterf getting the respect he deserves as well as for you bringing forward other fantastic contributors that I've not heard of. This video is an awesome representation of this community!
I think there's a misconception here. Markiplier is the King of FNAF. Does that mean he's the best FNAF player? No. Does that mean he's likely the face of FNAF (could also be Matpat)? Yes. A lot of people grew up watching FNAF instead of playing it. Myself included. I didn't have a PC back then so I had to watch someone else. And obviously, I watched Markiplier before anyone else. And I'm sure a lot of others did too. And let's not forget that it was a self proclaimed title that he made for himself way back before when it was just FNAF 1. No disrespect to any of the players you listed here. They are all very talented individuals that deserve all of the praise you gave them. But I will always think of Markiplier as the KING of Five Nights at Freddy's.
I was thinking that as well... It was more of a running joke of sorts than anything to be taken seriously. And in a way he was the face of fnaf and one of the important players in making it popular at the time, so in a way he does sort of deserve it at least as an honorary title. People thinking that his title of 'king of fnaf' equals him being the best at fnaf are the ones misunderstanding what the title was about.
Thank you. That part of the video very much irritated me. The technicalfnaf community misunderstands this title and claims It all too much for my liking.
I would love a deep dive into the Markiplier 10/20 conspiracy, and maybe a dedicated video would make it slightly more likely that Mark could see it and confirm/deny it lol.
One thing I really like about the way UCN fits into the greater story is that all UCN mods, heck, everything on the Max Mode list, could be considered canon. Just the Vengeful Spirit becoming more and more creative in William's torture.
I would love to see a deeper dive, as I love in-depth explanations of things. I also find people "going nerdy" on topics very entertaining and informative! 😄
After seeing this video, I can confidently say that this is one of the coolest Icebergs I've seen as of late. I like how wholesome the final entry is, and it sends a nice message about not worrying about being "The Best" because we are all the best in our own ways. I do need to point out that you missed the Mobile Ports entry in Tier 7, but based on the name I can guess that the entry is about how the Max Modes are much harder on the mobile ports due to the different control scheme and how certain strategies are impossible.
Man, I love this channel so much. I’m so glad I found it a couple months ago. Also, funnily enough, Markiplier has mentioned that Fnaf 2 is probably his favorite game in the series. Pretty ironic considering it’s the only one that people consider his max-mode completion to be cheated.
yeah all his other ones are legit, i'm surprised he couldn't do 10/20 when he did SL GFVH. He def has the skill but i guess he was just pressured to get it out
@@TheBones5 Fnaf 2 was when Fnaf really got huge, so I’m guessing he died a lot and got just a little annoyed so he cut it in order to get the video out and be “one of the first.” He was running a few series concurrently as well at the time, so scheduling issues probably collided and the commitment to one of if not the hardest max-mode’s the series has to offer probably didn’t outweigh the benefits.
@@TheBones5 Yeah I do feel like he probably just got pressured into pushing out a video, especially since he had the reputation of being like, the second (third? Can't remember rn) ever person to beat 4/20 in FNAF 1. To be frank, if Mark just came out and said "yeah I cheated the run. Sorry" I don't think it would hurt his reputation really at all. He's contributed so much good to the world that I think most people would simply understand and move on; I certainly would.
I greatly appreciate use of music tracks from Super Mario Galaxy and Kirby's Return to Dreamland in the background. I love those games and they have amazing soundtracks, glad to know you appreciate them as well.
Ya know, after hearing about how much of a nightmare 10/20 is because of Toy Bonnie, I think back to a line I heard a speedrun-tuber say, I forget who exactly said it but it was "cheating isn't done to get better times, it's done to get those times faster" I'm sure Mark had the skills to actually pull it off, but enough bad RNG can slowly but surely break anyone's morale Mark also has his big audience to crank out content for, and thus not exactly the time for Toy Bonnie, but still, I think it's ultimately a minor hiccup in one of the cleanest careers among the big-name UA-camrs (and the original video file is probably long-since wiped from his computer anyways, so it's unlikely there'll be a concrete response if any)
And at the time of FNAF 2's launch Mark was in the middle of two other very lengthy let's plays (Alien: Isolation and The Evil Within), I can imagine that juggling that and all the other stuff he does for his channel, and having a tough time beating the mode that he decided to say f*ck it and cheated his 10/20 completion so he can get the video out while it was most relevant. It's not great that he cheated, but he's hardly a terrible guy for doing so in that instance either because he wasn't going for a world record or something along those lines. I think it was more of a business decision than anything; to get a video of the completion out while the hype was still going strong.
now that i've seen both of your iceberg videos i realize that gd and fnaf communities are pretty similar when it comes to pushing skill limits to the absolute max, that's freaking awesone
In defense of calling Post-Shift 2 the "hardest fnaf fan game"; I think the game deserves its title due to the fact that the ENTIRE game is unfathomably difficult, and not by design. It wasn't the creators intention to make a hard game, instead he made a game with an insurmountable amount of mechanics for a new player to digest for each night. Combine that with unintended RNG factors and you get a punishing, nearly unbeatable experience that almost requires a walkthrough or exploits to beat. The other games that are harder than Post-Shift 2 were designed to be hard. They are mostly mods or reimaginings of existing games with the sole intent to make the max modes impossible, and to me that feels like cheating. I could boot up ClickTeam and make a custom night mod that requires 1,000,000 frame perfect inputs to beat, and as long as it was proven to be possible, it would be deemed the hardest fnaf fan game. Finally, something like Tyke and Sons isn't unfathomably difficult UNTIL 14/22, while Post-Shift 2 is agonizing from start to finish as a complete experience not even including a max mode. In conclusion, I wouldn't consider a singular custom night setting being hard as making the ENTIRE game hard, so in terms of a complete experience with its own lore, multiple endings, and complete set of nights, I would say Post-Shift 2 is among the hardest fnaf fan games out there.
I will mention your point about "booting up clickteam and making the hardest fnaf game" doesn't really count here when it has to be beaten by a human in order to count on the max mode list. If you were able to verifyably do said 1000000 frame perfect inputs to beat the mode, it would (probably) count yeah, but you can't, nor can any other human, so it's just thrown in the TAS-only bin.
Yeah, completely true. Other games might have much harder max modes, but Post-Shift 2 is pure pain right out of the box. It's like saying The Last of Us is harder than SMB: The Lost Levels because of Grounded Mode.
post-shift 2 is not hard. At all. Legit easier than fnaf 1. Just very poorly explained and with bs rng (especially on the prepatch). See Astralspiff's video where he beat the pre-patch version with his mouse while simultaneously playing cuphead on his keyboard
Its not hard its just poorly designed, which should not substitute for actual difficulty, Post Shift 2 if you know the mechanics is one of the easiest fnaf games ever made, end of story. Whether the poor design was intended or not, just failing to explain the mechanics really doesnt make a hard game. A hard game should be ones where mechanics are simple, but proper utilization is hard, ie a souls game or something like FNACBB 3.
It was cool seeing all of the BB series coverage in these vids, I appreciate that and I hope you enjoyed them! As for Frogger’s, it would be really cool to see you do a full breakdown video on the mode once it’s verified, or maybe a breakdown of the Top 10, or a history of the Top 1. Endless possibilities! Great vids!
38:19 something interesting I found is that balloon boy doesn't actually make any sound when moving from the game area to the main hall, I tested this several times in-game and he just disappeared from the game area silently Also I would totally like to see a full video about Markiplier cheating, because it sounds like something that more people should know about! Also, sneaky Mark you tricked us all!
Another thing thats pretty telling is that Mark outright says earlier in the 10/20 video that "i've made it to 4 AM like twice, i havent even made it to 5". With his other max mode runs (especially 4/20), he shows himself dying at 5AM multiple times, so its extremely bizarre that he would be able to beat 10/20 on one of his first attempts making it that far in the run.
It's technically possible for someone to beat it on their first try having never played a FNAF game before, even if insanely low odds. Amount of attempts doesn't mean anything. Any new player can get lucky and any pro player can have a string of bad luck
@@150booyadragon10/20 requires skill and precision, the only real luck is toy bonnie starting his blackout quickly. A rookie wouldn’t know how long to wind in various situations, and without editing files you’d need to beat night 6 first to even unlock 10/20 which is also hell.
I mean, there are a lot of videos, even on this channel, where someone manages to beat a challenge right after making it past one particular hurdle like that. It's really not that inherently suspicious.
@@naplockblubba5369 no it’s really suspicious, but because it’s TECHNICALLY possible with the most insane winning the lottery twice in a row odds, it can’t be proven. Honestly I’m not even sure it matters that much, it was so long ago who cares at this point? Like “oh he probably cheated at a video game this one time” you and I both know UA-camrs who’ve done waaaaaay worse stuff this is nothing
@TheBones5 Great video! Even though all the fnaf players you listed did great stuff for the community (knowledge/overall skill), mark is the main guy who introduced fnaf to many people, including me. Keep up the great content man!
I dont know why its so funny to me that the glitched night in fnaf 4 just has zero animatronics, there are so many goofy interpretations maybe they just got lazy that night and went out for dinner or william just stopped his experiments leaving Michael to remain paranoid for the whole 6 hours
Here's my piece of obscure FNaF knowledge: UCN and FNaF world have a weird interaction. If you activate the old man consequences easter egg in UCN (By setting his ai to one and completing his minigame.) and you drown in the lake in that minigame, and then open up FNaF world, you will unlock the trophy for the old man consequences ending if you did not previously have it. I did not discover this, but I can't remember who did.
I think this happens because UCN recycled the Old Man Consequences bit of FNAF World, making the latter able to recognize your achievement and give you the trophy
8:46 Springtrap is actually an official name. Scott made a post on steam talking about the early beta testing for fnaf 3 being successful. In the post, he spelled some words wrong by putting two of the same letters where there would only be one. For example, he might’ve said something like “the beta ttesting was successful”. If you take all the repeated letters and put them together, it spells out “My name is Springtrap”
That came AFTER the game was practically finished though I doubt Scott had Chica, Bonnie, or Foxy ready as names for the animatronics Bonnie = bunny Foxy = fox Chica = chicken Freddy's name definitely came first since it isn't based around what animal he is (although it was Freddy Bear originally) "DFGH" means absolutely nothing, Springtrap probably came as he was writing the springlock mechanic into the lore
Ctrl s is actually very very useful in sister location so skip the usually unskippable diologue. Just press it twice and theyll be skipped and the usual stuff that happens at the end of their diologue will start. This is seen in astrallspiff's third marathon
I always thought the transitions in Mark's video were weird, even when it dropped 10 years ago. Crazy stuff! I think it warrants its own video, not to hate on Mark, but I just think it adds to the story of how crazy the hype train was back then.
I would like to see a dedicated video to the Markiplier 10/20 run, mainly because I think it’s a topic that deserves it’s own video outside of the technical fnaf stuff
39:49 Mark never shines his light down the hallway, meaning the animatronics not being in the hallway is unprovable, upping his odds to 1/2048 Edit: I said 512, but then I realized Toy Chica needed to fail at least one movement opportunity to not go into the vent 41:33 Also, what the Hell is this evidence. “Mark was having a panic attack and edited it out, thus fake” Edit 2: Damn I suck at math. It’s 2048.
I think you’re missing the point. Even if you take away the circumstantial evidence (cutting the footage at certain points), the case is still not exactly in Mark’s favor. Even if the odds are more along the lines of 1/2048, that’s still incredibly low and unlikely. I don’t hate Mark, but I can’t pretend there isn’t legitimate evidence against him here.
This is probably my favorite Fnaf channel because of the high focus on max modes. I play the main 7 Fnaf games with the only goal being to beat every max mode. So far I finished the first three and I’m working on Saturday on pizza sim. Keep it up!
As someone watching this late at night, I appreciate the chill vibes of the lower tiers as opposed to typical iceberg videos trying to make them as creepy as possible for no reason
I was waiting for part 2. This channel is very good, i rlly love your videos. The voice, the quality, everything is 10/10. Thanks for your work, Bones5!
Also, at 36:29, we hear a buzzing like it happens at the beginning of the blackout when no animatronics were present at the puppet room, but when he flips down the camera, buzzing stops and there is no blackout
Imagine not including yourself in the hall of fame of FNAF kings. You are the craziest (good crazy) player I have ever seen. Beating literally the hardest challenge I've ever seen (fnaflocke). So humble! Thanks for making this video and keep posting these quality videos, no matter how long it takes. ♥👍
honestly i can completely understand why mark would cheat 10/20 especially knowing how hard it was to beat when the game first launched. at the end of the day he's a youtuber on a schedule, if he doesn't get an upload in asap he may lose out on views and may lose the title of "king of fnaf" among his fans.
I agree. Considering that he wasn't uploading the run to a leaderboard of some sort (and that this was almost a decade ago) I can also give him the pass on his (likely) cheated run. If it was some sort of "I beat the game first, I'm the best in the world!" type of thing, it would be a bigger deal. But it was just a dude playing the game for fun, and he was uploading it to UA-cam. If Mark did cheat, I still think he shouldn't have done that, but if anybody wants to cancel him or otherwise punish him for a cheated casual playthrough today, then that's going a little too far.
HESBACKHESBACKHES ACK I just watched your last iceberg the other week after stumbling upon your challenge runs, and really enjoyed the way you covered the games
Insert pedantic comment: Forgot to talk about mobile ports in Tier7 Just noticed that so haven't completed the vid [will likely update comment in ~35 minutes] but I Do wanna say that I love your videos, your accomplishments are insane and you're very good at explaining things, I've listened to many of your vids while working
From what I remember in experiencing the mobile ports of FNAF2 and FNAF3, I can say that the power management plus timers of the nights in mobile ports are tweaked to be shorter and more lenient (probably more pronounced in older versions of the ports). I'm sure there's many more other changes that I don't know.
really well edited and amazing video, and im glad i can be a part of thebones5 community/this video, ive been a fan since the fnaf 4 maxmodes video, cant wait to see your channel grow even more 👍
I would definitely love to see a deep dive on the markiplier entry! It’s very interesting and since it’s so long ago it’s kinda also funny to look back on; I like mark and genuinely want to know if he faked it not even to get mad but just because it’s interesting and I want to know the answer; ik he’s probably not going to say anything but if he did admit to it that would be cool and just kinda funny bc it was so long ago and we know he’s good Fnaf games anyway; myf im rambling 💀 I like ur videos! 👍
Ctrl+S is actually pretty useful in Sister Location. Certain events like with hand unit are tied to audio so you can mute and unmute to skip dialogue and get to the rest of the night faster
Fun fact: Ultra Custom Night’s max mode is the TRUE hardest max mode, in that it is literally impossible (although I’m pretty sure that’s the fault of a single animatronic, though even without said animatronic I’m pretty sure that it’s either still impossible, or only possible via a perfect luck TAS. The main chalenge of Ultra Custom Night is actually how many you can do).
No one considers it to be the hardest maxmode as it never has and never will be beaten due to being physically impossible That is to say not even a TAS is capable of beating it
Doesn't count unless it is realistically possible to complete by a human In this case it's impossible even with tas, but even if tas possible or technically humanly possible (e.g. frame perfect input every 10th of a second for the whole night), it still doesn't count.
I literally cant believe that Markplier cheated 10/20. I will never trust anyone else, including my family and myself. Jokes aside, it would be kinda funny. 10 years and just now people discovered it (idk if other people gave proofs like TheBones5 did). Well, its not like he and most of us would care anyways.
It is possible that the toys that would appear in the hallway were hidden by withered freddy, reducing his perfect odds to 1/2048. Emphasis on perfect odds. Giving him a more realistic (but still generous) assumption that all toys start 1 movement into their paths, the probability becomes 1/131072 or 0.00076% Conclusion: almost definitely cheated, but who actually cares, it was 10 years ago and nobody lost anything (no competition like in speedrunning)
For Silent Suicide Mouse, there are actually 3 victors (4 now but at the time you made this it would have been 3) because Skerf actually beat it. It just was off camera
I don't hate Mark, but I wouldn't mind a longer video about that or any other youtubers who cheated on their fnaf videos. Since so many people say "it doesn't matter if Mark cheated cuz it happened 10 years ago" then it doesn't matter if we humor the situation and analyze arguments for and against Mark (or anyone else) cheating.
and if we did humor it, some mouth-breathers would use it as a way to swat his house or do some other stupid shit, ik how you meatspace losers who invaded the internet in 2016 function, you fuckers made it worse come 2020
if you mute and then unmute on fnaf 4 (when you first start the night) it makes it slightly better to hear the breathing as it gets rid of the loud background noises ctrl + s can also skip talking and is useful for speedrunners
In defense of Markiplier (not that your argument isn't compelling or that I believe Markiplier is some perfectly honest man) 1: Markiplier has received a multitude of unlikely events in his time with these games. Receiving Golden Freddy on his first run of FNAF 1, getting RWQ, JJ, etc. It is therefore possible that all the toys failed their opportunities. 2: Markiplier has completed worse challenges than 10/20, to include pre patch SL Night 4, it seems odd that he would cheat here of all places.
I hate to break it to you but night 4 prepatch is NOT a hard as hard as people have made it out to be, the pre patch version of it is practically identical to the current patch on night 4
People don't cheat to get good results; they cheat to get good results faster. As an example, SpaceUK (known for being the focus of the biggest hacking scandal in Geometry Dash history) had beaten every demon prior to his accidental hacking of The Golden entirely legitimately, and his noclip run was convincing enough (at the time) to pass off as legit. He was also able to beat Kenos legit before he just started hacking everything. He absolutely had the skill to beat all those top extremes; he just didn't want to invest all that time. Just because someone is good doesn't mean they should be completely above suspicion.

Hello I just want to point out a few mistakes you have made in your calculation at 39:50.
First of all starting with toy bonnie:
What you were basically calculating here is the probability of toy bonnie having a failed movement in a scenario where he only gets 1 movement opportunity.
These scenarios are the following:
1. Toy bonnie fails his first movement but succeeds at his second and third: (1/4)*(3/4)*(3/4)=9/64
2. Toy bonnie fails his second movement but succeeds at his first and third: (3/4)*(1/4)*(3/4)=9/64
3. Toy bonnie fails his third movement but succeeds at his first and second: (3/4)*(3/4)*(1/4)=9/64
Additionally we must also consider that toy bonnie can fail more than just 1 movement opportunity. So we must also consider all scenarios in which toy bonnie fails 2 movements:
4. Toy bonnie fails his first and second movement opportunity but succeeds at his third: (1/4)*(1/4)*(3/4)=3/64
5. Toy bonnie fails his second and third movement opportunity but succeeds at his first: (3/4)*(1/4)*(1/4)=3/64
6. Toy bonnie fails his first and third movement opportunity but succeeds at his second: (1/4)*(3/4)*(1/4)=3/64
And finally we need the probability of him failing all 3 of his movements:
7. Toy bonnie fails all 3 of his movement opportunities: (1/4)*(1/4)*(1/4)=1/64
If we add all of these chances together we get the following result:
(9/64)+(9/64)+(9/64)+(3/64)+(3/64)+(3/64)+(1/64)=37/64≈57.81%
This means that the chances of toy bonnie failing at least one of his movement opportunities are actually greater than the chances of him having 3 successful movement opportunities in a row.
There is also a much simpler second way to arrive at this result:
You can just calculate the probability of the opposite outcome (in this case the chance of toy bonnie entering the vent) and subtract the result from 1.
Since the only scenario in which toy bonnie can enter the vent requires him to have 3 successful movement opportunities in a row we can actually calculate this fairly quickly:
8. Toy Bonnie succeeds in all 3 of his movement opportunities: (3/4)*(3/4)*(3/4)=27/64
1-(27/64)=37/64≈57.81%
Now regarding Toy freddy:
You basically made the same mistake you previously did with toy bonnie: Calculating the chance of toy freddy failing 2 movements in a scenario in which he only has 2 movement opportunities.
The correct method of calculating the chances of toy freddy never entering the hallway is basically the same method I previously used for toy bonnie except this time we remove the scenarios in which toy freddy only fails 1 of his movements.
So what we get is this:
1. Toy freddy fails his first and second movement opportunity but succeeds at his third: (1/4)*(1/4)*(3/4)=3/64
2. Toy freddy fails his second and third movement opportunity but succeeds at his first: (3/4)*(1/4)*(1/4)=3/64
3. Toy freddy fails his first and third movement opportunity but succeeds at his second: (1/4)*(3/4)*(1/4)=3/64
4. Toy freddy fails all 3 of his movement opportunities: (1/4)*(1/4)*(1/4)=1/64
Adding these together we get:
(3/64)+(3/64)+(3/64)+(1/64)=5/32≈15.62%
And now regarding mangle:
You forgot to take into account that mangle can still fail movement opportunities. The 1/2 chance would only be correct if mangle was 100% guaranteed to move at every movement opportunity.
There are 2 possible ways to calculate the probability that mangle doesn't enter the vent:
The first method is to do the same thing I did with toy bonnie with the only difference being that we account for one additional scenario in which mangle succeeds at all 3 movement opportunities but fails her 1/2 chance.
The second method is to calculate the probability of mangle entering the vent and subtract it from 1. Doing this we get:
1. Mangle succeeds at all 3 of her movement opportunities and at her 1/2 chance: (3/4)*(3/4)*(3/4)*(1/2)=27/128
1-(27/128)=101/128≈78.90%
And lastly ragarding balloon boy and toy chica:
They are the only 2 animatronics where you actually calculated the probability correctly. Since the only way for toy chica to not enter the hallway and for balloon boy to not laugh once requires them to fail all 3 of their movement opportunities they both have a 1/64 or 1.56% chance each.
If we finally multiply all of these probabilities with each other we get the probability of all of these events happening at the same time:
(37/64)*(1/64)*(5/32)*(101/128)*(1/64)=18685/1073741824
So assuming the movement paths you were showing in the video are correct the probability of Mark being innocent in this situation is about 0.00174% which is still incredibly low but almost 9 times bigger than the probability you calculated.
I hope you found this comment helpful.
Bro wrote an whole essay
this comment needs more likes so he can see it
Shouldn't W.

Same with the salvage sections in FFPS iirc (let me know if I'm mistaken on that part)
You can skip the salvage parts with it but i know it more for the sister location skips
but i honestly think of it as too big of a skip so much to become a cheat because the longer you wre in w salvage the more agressive the animatronics get which is why the salvages are so long but skiping that audio gets rid of the challenge
sister location predicted security breach lol
So in one of Mark's Fnaf Revisited livestreams, he learned about camera stalling and that it was in fnaf 1. So he went to test it, but had to start a new game. His chat had to teach him how to add completed days manually through altering the files, and he was practically in shock you could do that. It's way more likely that he just edited the star into the video because he edited his own videos at the time.
Can you link that please i wanna watch it

fnaf 2 max to this day is considered ultra hard (without UCN) with its chaos. So I don't blame him
8:40 Scott gave Springtrap his name before FNAF 3 even released in a teaser saying something like "My children are play testing the game and the ********** is working really well." And somehow people decoded the message to fill the hidden word as Springtrap.
Source trust me bro I remember hearing about this before FNAF 3 came out.
there were random captialised letters throught a steam post
I remember this too
There was literally a steam community post with "MYNAMEISSPRINGTRAP" hidden throughout the message
@@GhostyKJdidn't expect to see you here. Horror games should stick together anyway.
That is a really really good point. Thanks for the comment.

Funny thing with the Mark section, while the case you present definitely points to Mark cheating the 10/20 completion (the fact only Withereds show up and you get a third star for 4/20 is just too big to ignore)
Mark DOES have very insane luck in FNAF 2, when he revisited it in 2022, he got a Shadow Bonnie proc LIVE, which is insanely rare.
He most likely still cheated that original completion, but it was also 10 years ago, and way more impressive completions have been performed since then so hopefully people dont take this way more seriously than it actually is.
Regardless, very fun and enjoyable video :)
also damn FNAF 2 is almost 10 years old that's CRAZY
Shadow bonnie is only like 1/16k ish iirc? I dont know how often it checks that though
He also got Golden Freddy in FNaF1 and Shadow Freddy/Golden Freddy/Phantom Withered Freddy in FNaF3.

I do need to point out that you missed the Mobile Ports entry in Tier 7, but based on the name I can guess that the entry is about how the Max Modes are much harder on the mobile ports due to the different control scheme and how certain strategies are impossible.

@@red.hydrogen actually i think it would hurt. anti-fans exist yk, and those people who would side wth anyone. having a gigantic fanbase is scary
@@TheBones5 I grew up watching mark and do not blame him for giving up but at the same time it does give people who got by it for real more respect
I greatly appreciate use of music tracks from Super Mario Galaxy and Kirby's Return to Dreamland in the background. I love those games and they have amazing soundtracks, glad to know you appreciate them as well.
Ya know, after hearing about how much of a nightmare 10/20 is because of Toy Bonnie, I think back to a line I heard a speedrun-tuber say, I forget who exactly said it but it was "cheating isn't done to get better times, it's done to get those times faster"
I'm sure Mark had the skills to actually pull it off, but enough bad RNG can slowly but surely break anyone's morale
Mark also has his big audience to crank out content for, and thus not exactly the time for Toy Bonnie, but still, I think it's ultimately a minor hiccup in one of the cleanest careers among the big-name UA-camrs (and the original video file is probably long-since wiped from his computer anyways, so it's unlikely there'll be a concrete response if any)
Definitely karl jobst
Mark had a schedule and the difficulty was pushing it. It must've been tempting to draw an extra star in crayon after a devastating late-5am loss.
Karl Jobst 50/20 Markiplier video when?
That quote is wrong, cheating is done to get better times, otherwise they would not cheat. It is a stupid excuse.
now that i've seen both of your iceberg videos i realize that gd and fnaf communities are pretty similar when it comes to pushing skill limits to the absolute max, that's freaking awesone
The markeplier death note bit was seriously hilarious nice work dude 😂😂😂
If you were able to verifyably do said 1000000 frame perfect inputs to beat the mode, it would (probably) count yeah, but you can't, nor can any other human, so it's just thrown in the TAS-only bin.
yeah but that kinda fucks up when you add in games that are literally nothing but custom nights like ucn recode and deluxe
Great vids!
A deep dive of the 10/20 """scandal""" would be very interesting!
Calling it a scandal is insane lol
Mark WILL answer for his crimes
The first part had a few minor mistakes littered in it, but I'm very glad to see that part 2 is much cleaner. Very satisfying watch all around!
Highkey happy i found the channel it’s hella intriguing and enjoyable every watch
a deep dive on markiplier's 10/20 would be nice!
11:00 Peak illustration of the Foxy Glitch
I was watching Ultimate FNAF4 and sensed a disturbance in the force. Aha. A new upload, six minutes ago. It pays to be a Bones5 fan.
Babe, wake up! Another TheBones5 upload just dropped!
That’s what I’m saying!
38:19 something interesting I found is that balloon boy doesn't actually make any sound when moving from the game area to the main hall, I tested this several times in-game and he just disappeared from the game area silently
Also I would totally like to see a full video about Markiplier cheating, because it sounds like something that more people should know about! Also, sneaky Mark you tricked us all!
yea he laughs everytime he moves EXCEPT when moving from the game area
@@150booyadragonnah he cheated. Not that serious, because who cares 🤷♂️
@TheBones5 Great video!
Even though all the fnaf players you listed did great stuff for the community (knowledge/overall skill), mark is the main guy who introduced fnaf to many people, including me.

The Markiplier Cheated segment was hilarious, but I am genuinely shocked. Great video as always
I dont know why its so funny to me that the glitched night in fnaf 4 just has zero animatronics, there are so many goofy interpretations
maybe they just got lazy that night and went out for dinner or william just stopped his experiments leaving Michael to remain paranoid for the whole 6 hours
I'm imagining they all went out for a late-night pint at JR's instead
Here's my piece of obscure FNaF knowledge:
UCN and FNaF world have a weird interaction.
Game theory maybe?
Matpat did start one of his fnaf videos with it
I think this happens because UCN recycled the Old Man Consequences bit of FNAF World, making the latter able to recognize your achievement and give you the trophy
That came AFTER the game was practically finished though
I doubt Scott had Chica, Bonnie, or Foxy ready as names for the animatronics
Bonnie = bunny
Foxy = fox
Chica = chicken
Freddy's name definitely came first since it isn't based around what animal he is (although it was Freddy Bear originally)
"DFGH" means absolutely nothing, Springtrap probably came as he was writing the springlock mechanic into the lore
Babe. Stop everything. Bones5 uploaded.
Enjoyed both parts of the iceberg! Wishing for your continued success bro
Ctrl s is actually very very useful in sister location so skip the usually unskippable diologue. Just press it twice and theyll be skipped and the usual stuff that happens at the end of their diologue will start. This is seen in astrallspiff's third marathon
I was waiting for Spigg to be mentioned
The mark part is like me when i come up with the best response to someone roasting me 9 years later
I always thought the transitions in Mark's video were weird, even when it dropped 10 years ago. Crazy stuff! I think it warrants its own video, not to hate on Mark, but I just think it adds to the story of how crazy the hype train was back then.
The MML glazing is insane, TheBones5 really never fails tickling his superiors tips.
I would like to see a dedicated video to the Markiplier 10/20 run, mainly because I think it’s a topic that deserves it’s own video outside of the technical fnaf stuff
39:49 Mark never shines his light down the hallway, meaning the animatronics not being in the hallway is unprovable, upping his odds to 1/2048
Edit: I said 512, but then I realized Toy Chica needed to fail at least one movement opportunity to not go into the vent
41:33 Also, what the Hell is this evidence. “Mark was having a panic attack and edited it out, thus fake”
Edit 2: Damn I suck at math. It’s 2048.
it doesn't really matter if he was having a panic attack or not,he cut the video, which would give him the opportunity to cheat a 10/20 win
@@sd3kcir471 So did literally every other edit in the video though
Thanks
I think you’re missing the point. Even if you take away the circumstantial evidence (cutting the footage at certain points), the case is still not exactly in Mark’s favor. Even if the odds are more along the lines of 1/2048, that’s still incredibly low and unlikely. I don’t hate Mark, but I can’t pretend there isn’t legitimate evidence against him here.
This is the worst defense I have seen. It literally makes no sense.
Sweet vid 🐐 next can we get a vid going through the top 10-15-20-whatever entries on the main Maxmodelist?
Yes make a deeper dive! I'd love to see it!
Like always, great video!
Insert pedantic comment: Forgot to talk about mobile ports in Tier7
Just noticed that so haven't completed the vid [will likely update comment in ~35 minutes] but I Do wanna say that I love your videos, your accomplishments are insane and you're very good at explaining things, I've listened to many of your vids while working
Best technical fnaf content maker!

Bro what is that Frogger section 😭 crazy plug

I would love to see more stuff on the max mode community!
i literally just watched the tech iceberg part 1 today lo
Fun fact: Ultra Custom Night’s max mode is the TRUE hardest max mode, in that it is literally impossible (although I’m pretty sure that’s the fault of a single animatronic, though even without said animatronic I’m pretty sure that it’s either still impossible, or only possible via a perfect luck TAS. The main chalenge of Ultra Custom Night is actually how many you can do).
No one considers it to be the hardest maxmode as it never has and never will be beaten due to being physically impossible
That is to say not even a TAS is capable of beating it
Doesn't count unless it is realistically possible to complete by a human
In this case it's impossible even with tas, but even if tas possible or technically humanly possible (e.g. frame perfect input every 10th of a second for the whole night), it still doesn't count.
I have found people discussing that as early as 2015, but they were constantly being downvoted on Reddit by salty fans.
It's definitely not just now being discovered
It is possible that the toys that would appear in the hallway were hidden by withered freddy, reducing his perfect odds to 1/2048. Emphasis on perfect odds. Giving him a more realistic (but still generous) assumption that all toys start 1 movement into their paths, the probability becomes 1/131072 or 0.00076%
Conclusion: almost definitely cheated, but who actually cares, it was 10 years ago and nobody lost anything (no competition like in speedrunning)
YOOOOO,THE GOAT FNAF UA-cam POSTED
For Silent Suicide Mouse, there are actually 3 victors (4 now but at the time you made this it would have been 3) because Skerf actually beat it. It just was off camera
Never expected TheBones5 Wright to show himself, but I'm all for it
i would love a full video on markiplier, but ONLY if it's done in AA style lmao. great video!
You are on fire. Spent two days seeing all your videos. Keep it up!
man Bones never fails to fill me up with his quality content
I love that return to dreamland music
I don't hate Mark, but I wouldn't mind a longer video about that or any other youtubers who cheated on their fnaf videos. Since so many people say "it doesn't matter if Mark cheated cuz it happened 10 years ago" then it doesn't matter if we humor the situation and analyze arguments for and against Mark (or anyone else) cheating.
The reason the cheating doesn't matter is because nobody lost anything as a result. He was not competing against anyone
and if we did humor it, some mouth-breathers would use it as a way to swat his house or do some other stupid shit, ik how you meatspace losers who invaded the internet in 2016 function, you fuckers made it worse come 2020
So much science in fnaf runs
TheBones5 Yoinking Marks crown
I wouldn’t say yoinking it, just telling him his wrong’s and then telling him to keep the crown
@@KingPinTheBowler I think Bones made it very clear that there are numerous people far more deserving of that crown than Mark.

if you mute and then unmute on fnaf 4 (when you first start the night) it makes it slightly better to hear the breathing as it gets rid of the loud background noises
ctrl + s can also skip talking and is useful for speedrunners
i think the more obvious tell for Mark cheating is how quickly he went from 5 to 6- hardly as long as a whole hour with the clip length
you make the best fnaf videos
In defense of Markiplier (not that your argument isn't compelling or that I believe Markiplier is some perfectly honest man)
1: Markiplier has received a multitude of unlikely events in his time with these games.
What's the opposite of the gambler's fallacy?
Those points do NOT attack the argument that mark cheated. In fact,it only makes it look more suspicious.
I hate to break it to you but night 4 prepatch is NOT a hard as hard as people have made it out to be, the pre patch version of it is practically identical to the current patch on night 4
yeah but SL 10/20 has no rng fnaf 2 10/20 with his strat does he has hella reason to cheat ohlookitsfnaf's strat sucks
