ROYAL CARIBBEAN INDEPENDENCE OF THE SEAS CRUISE (DAY 1) Embarkation And Exploring The Ship!

- This past weekend for Brennan's birthday, we decided to book a cruise to experience another new cruise line through Royal Caribbean on the Independence of the Seas! We arrived at the Port at 11:30am, and were able to board the ship by noon after dropping off our bags and parking. Our rooms weren't open until 1:30pm, so we took our time exploring the various levels of the ship and the various food and recreational offerings there were to look forward to. After having pizza from Sorrento's, we took our backpacks to the room where our luggage was delivered, and continued walking around the ship (and eating a lobster roll) as the weather arrived and the rain started. We spent the majority of the evening in the Royal Promenade while it rained mercilessly, and ended the day with (quite an extensive) dinner in the Dining Room. Thanks for watching and I'll see you soon!
Belated birthday wishes to you, Brennan! 🎉🥳🎉🎂
Nice
I'm working now in this ship..thank you for cruising in independence of the seas
Great video - this ship looks SO awesome! I also love those directional ship aids - we loved them on Celebrity - they made getting around so easy!
Looking forward to our very first cruise with Royal Caribbean 🚢 going onto Independence of the sea in September.
Awesome! Always a fan of your trips, videos and fun! Thank you ..
I’m happy you enjoy following along on our little adventures!
Watched your video and realized my hubby and I are staying in the same balcony room, in Oct 2023!You’re a great vlogger keep up the good work! Subscribed 👍
We did the same thing with thinking we could just buy a bottle and make our own drinks on board 😂
Fun first day video. I saw us on the promenade deck! It was nice meeting you two and, Belated Happy Birthday, Brennan!
It was fantastic meeting you too! Thanks for saying hello to us so much, haha! I hope you had fun!
@@oyby yikes! A little over kill with the hello’s. 🤪 hope you had a great time.
nice to see i'm not the only adult who enjoys climbing through a children's play area
It’s all about being self-aware and respectful, haha!
I love your cruising videos! Roy, your hair is insane! Love it!
Thank you! I wanted the salt water breeze to blow through my locks!
I was on this same sailing. It was such a great vacation!
It was fantastic! I was nervous about the weather at first, but it cleared up for the days that really mattered!
Great video! We hope to sail Royal Caribbean soon. New subscriber here.
You can't beat Royal Caribbean... The Ultimate Dining Package was so worth it
We’ll have to remember to look into that! We’ve been pretty hesitant to look into packages, especially with a “splurge” on a veranda room.
Haha, yeah, buffet before MDR is always a risky move. 😊 I still do it, though 😁
Great video. Its so much easier to get the dri k package and dining oackage though. You dont have to worry about racking up a bill. Its all paid for before hand so you won't get a huge bill at the end.
Drink packages usually on sale before the cruise. Me and my wife get ours usually buy 1 get 1/2 off.
I am new to the channel and I really enjoyed the tour
Wow I think you guys have totally caught the cruising bug. But it’s good you are trying a different liner.
I’ve been saying the same thing, haha. I’ve never been on a cruise in my life and then Brennan’s family invites me along and then suddenly I’m invested in finding different cruise lines and reasonable rates and itineraries, haha.
This is like your 3rd cruise this year. 😂
You’ve caught the cruising bug! Isn’t it wonderful? 😉
Ahh! A friend and I were on the same sailing!
Did you have fun??
@@oyby it was my first cruise and amazing!
Do you have to make reservations in order to see the ice skating show?
First
I was going to book Carnavals Mardi Gras as our first cruise because of your vlog , BUT friends tell me RC is much superior, I'd love to know which you prefer please ?
I’m still trying to figure that out myself! The Mardi Gras felt so new, and was massive! I’m a very active person so I enjoyed all the activities that they both had. The Mardi Gras was superior with the food, but Royal Caribbean (even in a somewhat dated ship like we were on) was still so impressive with the entertainment and recreation. If it was a new Royal Caribbean ship, those look incredibly impressive. RC has their private island that Carnival (I believe) did not have, which was very enjoyable. There’s so much to compare, it really depends on the length of the trip and the age of the family members and the level of activity/relaxation everyone wants!
@@oyby thankyou sincerely for the detailed reply , it helped .
A couple , early 50s and young at heart .
We live in Ireland but holiday for a month ever year in Orlando ( Royal pacific this Xmas yay !)
. Our choices right now are Mardi gras or explorer of the seas , RC oldest ship.
We never thought of cruising until we saw your Mardi gras vlog haha
I will book Mardi gras as our first cruise , and do Symphony the seas ( RC second largest & newest by inches lol) in Europe after that .
Working up to the bucket list one that is 2 weeks Hawaii !
Enjoy the rest of your cruise! ❤
So fish and ships isn’t included?
Out of the three cruise lines you’ve been on which to you like the best?
I would love to know this too please ?
How much for the old fashions
Disney wish 😂😂😂
