Its like Every time you wish on a banner, the 90th wish will always be a 5-star, and the 89th wish will always be a 4-star. In between this, around every 10 wishes there should always be a 4-star. If you win the 50/50 on the banner, then the character you win is not guaranteed. If you lose the 50/50, your next 5-star is guaranteed. There is also a soft pity which kicks in around the 75th wish, this is when your chances increase. Hope this helps!
Lost my 50/50 to tighnari in riden banner, been grinding very hard and ive managed to get to 79 pity and i still habe 7 days to pull for her 11 times for a guarantee so at worst case scenario ill reach nineties, i this its doable with lots chests and abyss spiral
I would say 'Only purchase blue fates for standard banner with Stardust once a month'. Of course, only if you have enough Stardust after buying the 5 Intertwined Fates first. Stardust we get from every pull we do, unless we get something better. Personally I enjoy getting at least one 4-star from Standard every other month and a 5-star once or twice a year. But people are different and there are other things to spend Stardust on too.

My earliest was Childe at 5 pity on the childe/yae banner. I just got nahida at 40 pity then and decided I'd pull a few more on the Childe banner for the 50 wishes thing needed for the battlepass, that was when I got him. (I wanted him on my second account but nope- He did not come home, at all)

I dont buy primos, i just save up all the free wishes til they reach around 80 or 100 wishes so i barely pull. Tho i got klee on the first pull during her banner AND her weapon then i tried to pull for her again about 3 times then gave up when i couldnt even get her to C2. Then I got Wriothesley the first pull during his banner but didnt get his weapon after i think 3 or 4 pulls. Then I got Neuvillette on first pull during his previous banner. All on free wishes. So to summarize, i still have trouble understanding how the pity system works lol.

My lowest pity ever was not too long ago actually, at 6 pity on Alhacén's banner, unfortunately, tho, I got a Qiqi meteor from the sky :v and I managed to pull another 50 wishes or so after getting Qiqi but wasn't able to get Alhacén in the end :'v (*Crashes head against nearest wall *) Ehemm, still, that means... Baizhu/Focalors, you'll be mine in another 40 pulls!!! * w *
My earliest pity that time is 20pity and also i won 50/50 for raiden banner i just started like a week.or two and yeah hoyo gave me a raiden so lucky that time 😭

Earliest pity was 17 but I almost always have to wait til pity of 74 normally. Can’t expect early pity or you’ll be disappointed in my experience.

Regardless of the pity count if you get a standard banner, your next 5 star will always be a limited 5 star (guaranteed) :)
