Mike McCready played a quick snippet / tribute to SRV during his solo. It was a combo of riffs from two SRV songs “Couldn’t Stand the Weather “ into “Scuttle Buttin’”.
I'm probably going to get jumped on and I wasn't to any of the concerts this tour... Just watching the UA-cam videos, it seems that Eddie was more subdued, not jumping around as usual. He spent a lot of time interacting with the front of the crowd, the regulars that have been going to concerts forever. He's been wearing a hat for most of the concerts. Their setlists have more deep cuts, "Lost Dogs" and B-sides They stayed after the song for 3 minutes like they were really taking it in. I just felt like it was a different than the usual "goodbye".But Eddie's voice was absolutely beautiful, more so than usual on some of the songs.. Hope everyone's okay. Looking forward to their next album.
I was at night 2 in ATX and the concert did start slowly but then like out of nowhere they were all running around, jumping, flinging the mic around. Mike even ran with his guitar all the way up some stairs lol! Can’t wait for their new album to come out as well.
