I've had a lot of good luck with Vevor products. It seems like anytime I search for an item I really need Vevor always seems to have one to check out. I got a water pump 1600 gallons per hour for $40 built like a tank. Bought a carport 12x 20. Very well built $275. Now I just bought a 22-in Vevor sand filter for my above ground. probably overkill but price was right. And they always ship it out the day I order it and it ships from Jersey so it's in Massachusetts in 2 days. Go Vevor

I was so excited to find an actual person review this set up before I bought it. Almost 5 hours later, I still do not have a setup that can be used. You have nicely plumbed your setup. So for those of us amateurs... I cannot get a seal at ANY fitting. Even the chinzy hose that came with it from the filter to the pump. My other pump hose connections always had a near-flush gasket at all the fittings. These fittings are relying on just the clamp. The directions (that are horrible with no illustrations) say to put Teflon tape on some spots... did not work. Also the winter drain fitting is a nightmare to get tight enough so it doesn't drip. My husband will be working on fittings tomorrow and I will update comments.
How did it go?
I used some 1.5 inch rubber couplers with clamps coming off the pump. Just got to get them just right. Also teflon tape with a little sealant will help on the joints
You said about 50lbs. of sand, thats all I put in, wasnt that a little short? Thanks for the video.

Excellent review, I'm getting ready to upgrade from the system that came with my 6,000 gallon above ground pool. Debating between the one shown here, and the less expensive 1585 gph model. Any advice in if you think the smaller one would be sufficient? Thanks!

I had a terrible experience with a Vevor sand filter pump that was defective right out of the box. I'm still trying to get them to fix it under warranty, but they don't seem to care about customer satisfaction. If you ever have to file a warranty claim, you'll be sorry.

Yes it primes like a normal pump
I am thinking about using this for my inground pool for a vacuum system. Would you recommend this for what I am trying to do? And does the sand come with it? As a portable system
You would need at least 1 hp I think

Yes. 1.5 inch.

does anyone know how to hook this up for a intex pool hosing? The connectors don't screw on to the intex pool hosing. HELP
Even when I tried to put that black piece in the hole for my tubing to connect it the orange ring is in the way. I have no clue
1.5 inch to 40 mm adapter
Grab 1.5 adapters from Leslies and use clamps to secure them.
