the biggest tip i have found is finding a staple or two and just reusing it over and over again - when you style things well, nobody will be like “didn’t you wear that scarf yesterday and the day before?”
The science behind the colours: White reflects light. If you've seen how a prism works, it is the same thing. It also has to do with the light frequency. Similarly, light colours reflect more light (and consequently heat) than they absorb. In contrast to that, black absorbs light. It absorbs all wavelengths of visible light. That is the major difference between black and white. Consequently, since more light is absorbed by the darker material, more energy is turned into heat and that is why darker materials make you feel warmer. Dark but not black colours absorb less light than pure black, but more light than light colours. It is different for every colour but this is a general rule that you can keep in mind. I hope it was helpful.

Thanks for the video! I love dressing modestly! One note on silk though: it doesn’t breathe too well, especially since it doesn’t do well with water and other liquids. Of course, it depends on how it’s woven (either a looser weave or tighter weave) and how heavy it is. A lightweight, looser weave will generally have more space between the fibers so air gets in better. On the other hand, I absolutely love linen😊 It’s one of my favorite natural fibers!

Thank you for a great video! I've lived the majority of my life in Florida in the U.S. so most of my clothes are 100% cotton. I have very fair skin so, especially in the summer, I cover my legs and arms with long sleeves - BUT - the material is cool and breathable. When I go to a place with people from all over the world, such as the Disney properties, I notice that women from Middle Eastern countries and India look like they have more clothe on than the average American tourist from the North/Midwest but, again, the material is natural and protective from the sun. By contrast, I see so many people wearing very short shorts & tank tops - sweating, burning their skin, and looking miserable while standing in long lines. Question: Are there online shops you would recommend for abayas? I've also looked for where I could purchase Indian clothing. I'm taller than the average woman so abayas would work but not sure if Indian clothing is made smaller. I've run into that with Japanese kimono - the Japanese large size clothing is small on me. :) I also dress fairly monochromatic and always solid color on the bottom

Thank you so much for making this video. I don't follow religious dress requirements, but I do follow a 1950's etiquette, and that is much more modest than today's US standards. In fact quite a bit different. It's great seeing someone making videos like this.
Dressing modestly has always been a priority for me. It has nothing to do with religion, it’s more to do with class. Classy women don’t let it all hang out. My youthful body was naturally so darn sexy, men stared and pestered me constantly, I wanted to tone it down, not ramp it up.

In washington state its cold in early morning and gets warm by afternoon so everyone layers here so by 11am things warm up as marine layer burns off by 3 pm it's hot ..
Since you liked a comment 6 days ago I expect you'd read this . My parents often tell me to dress "classy" but modest. (Ik mostly contradicting but it's how most ppl are here) Can you please do another one where 1. The waist area isnt revealed , meaning shirts should be long and not tucked . I feel I look better every time I tuck but it's not allowed fr me . 2. Knee size or longer dresses / skirts 3. Something less bright and not too eye catching but graceful 4. Nothing skin tight to show off any features of body . Just modestly dressed but looking good . 5. Use of leggings . I use leggings a lot I dont show legs at all . 6. Accessory usage , please use accessories becuase ppl think it's a good idea to gift me those when I dont know how to use it 7. Please use scarfs as well. For both christians (we wear scarfs to church) as well as muslims (all rules I mentioned are usually used on muslims as well and they use scarfs a lot) 8. Neck measures , I have collar bones . Nice ones too but Its taboo to go low neck so something that shows them but not too low Thank you , Please do try .
I have scored high in thrift shops and charity shops. New with tag, at times! I adore linen, but "hand wash, line dry" is recommended. I use cold water gentle cycle in my washer, but my linen clothes never see a dryer. For many, that's too much trouble, hence the thrift store deals. I have seen lovely items on etsy (both new and pre-loved). If I had the money, I'd go for Eileen Fisher. ;-)
All your points were so perfect! :) For religious purposes I at least have to wear clothing that has sleeves and goes to my knees... I feel like it’s almost the awkward in-between so it was nice that you mentioned that modesty is kind of a spectrum.
I remeber looking for summerdresses for work some 3 years ago. My office has no special dress code, but you can't show up infront of you boss in a miniskirt. But that year the fashion was super short dresses and deep decolte. When i would find sth with normal shape it would be see trough. It was impossible to find sth modest in the (bit cheaper) shops i usually shop in. Meanwhile i started paying more for clother.
I just have always preferred to dress in a more modest way, not for religious reasons but as a Mom of 2 young kids the clothing has to be comfortable but also nice looking (nothing strapless or short).
I've never liked showing much skin its hard finding decent clothes for summer. All the covered up clothes I find second hand are old lady styles.. thats why I'm here to get ideas. Thank you for this !
hello, is it ok if you can tell us which websites are good for being fully modest in the summer, if you know any. like clothes with natural material but it would fully cover my skin and is loose fitting and affordable? thanks
"this look is for kindergartners" 😆. That made me laugh out loud. Truestory I like the look, it doesn't look right on me but you notice women who look very Babyface or childlike it looks great!
Im watching this and tryna figure out how i can apply this to my usual style with fitted clothes. I want to look sexy without showing a lot of skin soooo very helpful!
Covering ones skin actually keeps them cool. Those Bedouins in the dessert wear thick and heavy clothes and dont bare any skin because the suns heat doesn't reach their skin because the fabric is thick and covers the whole body. Then you have those ignorants who say women who wear the Niqab are suffering. Nope they are actually staying cooler.
I am naturally slender and I don’t belong to any religion but i love dressing modest. I think it looks classy and comfy

(Ik mostly contradicting but it's how most ppl are here)
Can you please do another one where
1. The waist area isnt revealed , meaning shirts should be long and not tucked . I feel I look better every time I tuck but it's not allowed fr me .
2. Knee size or longer dresses / skirts
3. Something less bright and not too eye catching but graceful
4. Nothing skin tight to show off any features of body . Just modestly dressed but looking good .
5. Use of leggings . I use leggings a lot I dont show legs at all .
6. Accessory usage , please use accessories becuase ppl think it's a good idea to gift me those when I dont know how to use it
7. Please use scarfs as well. For both christians (we wear scarfs to church) as well as muslims (all rules I mentioned are usually used on muslims as well and they use scarfs a lot)
8. Neck measures , I have collar bones . Nice ones too but Its taboo to go low neck so something that shows them but not too low
Thank you ,
Please do try .
why is everything sold out but HOeSoK 's SPriTe ? Sure ☺️
Where is your black chiffon abaya from?
Can you share where you shop? I have hard time finding quality yet reasonable natural fiber pieces
If I had the money, I'd go for Eileen Fisher. ;-)
I’m Jewish and I love your class and style. 💯
I love that white dress with the sheer balloon sleeves. Where is it from?
All your points were so perfect! :) For religious purposes I at least have to wear clothing that has sleeves and goes to my knees... I feel like it’s almost the awkward in-between so it was nice that you mentioned that modesty is kind of a spectrum.
How can I write the name for the Islamic “cardigan”? Trying to find it online
love your earings! would you share what brand and where to get them? thank you!!
thank you for this, i like dressing modestly and it's hard to find a video for summer that is not hijab fashion.
Thank you. I never really considered the material much. Love from South Africa 💙
Heyy, I've just posted an interview with a South African sustainable blogger! Maybe you are interested💕
@angie where is the shirt you’re wearing in the video from?
I am so glad I found her channel. This is such great tips. Also, you are flippin gorgeous girl ❤
I just have always preferred to dress in a more modest way, not for religious reasons but as a Mom of 2 young kids the clothing has to be comfortable but also nice looking (nothing strapless or short).
So happy to know that you’re from Egypt ☺️ I’m Egyptian too
I've never liked showing much skin its hard finding decent clothes for summer. All the covered up clothes I find second hand are old lady styles.. thats why I'm here to get ideas. Thank you for this !
Amazing I like to dress modest but I never know how to put stuff together 🤦♀️so I’m always going for shirts and pants
Very practical tips. Please share more. Thank you❤️.
Where do I even go to buy any of these things?(I am a beginner)
hello, is it ok if you can tell us which websites are good for being fully modest in the summer, if you know any. like clothes with natural material but it would fully cover my skin and is loose fitting and affordable? thanks
That beige top from primark is so cute
this was sooooo gooooooddd. thank you for this
Light colors are able to reflect heat while black clothing would draw it in more its like when the street pavement is always super hot in the summer
thank you! i have always dressed modest though not religious. love your video.
never thought to use a abaya as a cardigan. i'm in the US - any tips on where to buy nice staple nice material abayas?
Online maybe modanisa.com or sefamerve.com
"this look is for kindergartners" 😆. That made me laugh out loud. Truestory I like the look, it doesn't look right on me but you notice women who look very Babyface or childlike it looks great!
Black colours absorb heat :) lighter colours reflect heat and so wearing them make you significantly cooler than if you were wearing black.
I feel safer when I’m covered, like the clothing is hugging me
Anyone know where the jumpsuit in the thumbnail is from? Literally in love with it
Does someone know where I could buy the combi 3:47 ? 🥰
Love love love this. Now this is my what I preach.
Viscose also natural and used quite commonly in summer. My favorite one.
very good video mashallah! Loved it
I have missed you. I would love to see more summer tips I live in the tropics. We need more content during this time. Stay safe.
YES, wear light colored for summer,,,,,,,,lot of white, cotton, linen ,silk
Saving 5 tops and 4 bottom = 20 outfits great for travel...we don't need a lot of cloth... Thank you, for your classic advice,.Blessings
I was looking for videos like this ! I finally found you ❤
Many thanks, Angie. Very useful knowledge!
Hemp fabrics are amazing if you can find them. Super soft and breathable.
Im watching this and tryna figure out how i can apply this to my usual style with fitted clothes. I want to look sexy without showing a lot of skin soooo very helpful!
Anyone know where to get the outfits at 5:15?
Literally everything in this video ! Thank u - a hijabi
I like your energy and tone of voice Angie.
