Great repair job so far! I’m really glad Toypoli recommended your channel.
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed the fix so far. That was cool Toy Polloi mentioned my channel. I’m a fan too!
Great video. Thanks for sharing your steps. You put Black lions back legs on backward for that one you planned on reselling.
Yes, they were switch off camera later in the video.
Nice styrene work! Looks like the original... :)

Nice
Nice! I have a few questions. How do you store your lions while the chrome paint is drying (and why does it take 3 weeks to dry??). Several of my lions have bad chrome wear on the legs and are missing canopies and have damaged stickers. I'm looking to upgrade them but every one I find for sale that's complete always has at least some paint loss so I've been thinking of painting mine.
Another question I have is, is it possible to remove the lion's heads? I have a green lion with a pretty decent head but everything else about it is in bad shape. I know someone who has a very nice condition green lion they're offering me, but the bottom jaw on it has yellowed. I was thinking about getting their lion and swapping it's head with mine, which doesn't have a yellowed jaw but I don't know if it's possible to remove the head and don't want to break them trying.
I’m not sure why it takes so long, it’s a thick paint but it’s obviously different than regular paint so perhaps the properties it’s made from causes it to cure slow. If you don’t wait that long it seems dry but you will cause the chrome shine to dull. As for the Lion, it is glued or plastic welded together so taking it apart is tricky but could be done. You would have to remove the legs first and use a sharp blade to cut the glue at the seam.
Thanks for the info! I purchased a complete Green lion in pretty good shape, but the bottom jaw on it is yellowed a bit, so I was thinking of trying to take the head or jaw from my broken green lion and swap them, but doesn't seem possible to remove either! @@toysbackzen
Hi how did you remove the yellow ear without damaging it? Thanks
At first it seemed it wouldn’t come out but on my example I was able to push one corner down while lifting the other corner out of the slot and it just came out. I removed it a few times in this video and had no problems but did it carefully so the tabs didn’t break off. Good luck!
