Congratulations, like your new bike & glad to see you still ridding. I looked at both, but went with the Goldwing & loving it. Both are amazing to ride with safety features too. Enjoy..!
This review is what pushed me toward the bike. I’ve ridden exclusively Harley since I’ve started riding (not saying much being so young) but after I saw this review and test rode the bike, I fell in love. For me, it was just so frustrating that at the same price point, Harley is STILL playing catch up when it comes to features and performance. I’ll always be a Harley guy at heart but this bike truly is just wonderful.
I've found that for the windshield I need to keep it about halfway up and it does a decent job of deflecting air. Funny side note, I traded my Tuono V4R for this bike. Small world!
What a super machine. I love mine so much. I do not know if I can ever go to a different bike. I did not like the handlebar so I got the chrome one. Also, I got a windscreen from 7Jurock which makes a very big change with wind blocking and she is more quite in high speeds. I am 6'4".
Ya, the bars are the only kinda ugly thing on this bike. If you watch my next video, you'll see that I too installed a 7 Jurock. I am 6'1" and am very pleased with it... much quieter.
Nice work Commander, I’ve been casting around for a proper tourer to replace my “show pony” Honda Rune and I reckon this bagger is the perfect combo of practical tourer with cool dude looks! Just gotta find a nice one at a good price!
I love this bike, but if my wife still enjoyed riding with me, I think I would have done something different... the Roadmaster certainly being on the short list.
Nice bike. Love everything about it except the reliability issues BMW has been having with their bikes. Hopefully you can do an update in the future. 👍🏼
I sure will. I think the reliability stigma is unjustified. I have owned many BMWs and currently own 4. IMO, the Japanese are more reliable, but for European bikes, Beemers rule.
Awesome bike. Love the look. Would need at least a nice rear rack for a soft storage bag to stow my expensive helmet. The Aftermarket’s got you covered on that windscreen. I think you nailed it when comparing to the new DCT Gold Wing. It’s a rocket, smooth, reliable and it’s Gold Wing. But it really lacks soul. The BMW has that in spades. Nice choice here.
Thanks. Yes, aftermarket windscreen is definitely first thing to do. There is quite a burble right at helmet level... even all the way up. A rack and bar is a great idea. I know Wunderlich has a rack with a back rest. We agree on the GW DCT.
I have rode RTs, but not in direct comparison to this. Everyone I know that has done a comparison say that the K is like an RT on steroids. It is smoother and sportier... also, in my opinion, better looking. This engine is hard to beat.
That's actually not true at all about being a lump. I've had mine on really tight roads up in the mountains and it's really easy to ride in the tight stuff and the suspension does a great job of soaking up the bumps. It's not perfect at all but it's way better than you're giving it credit for.
Nice bike I own a 2019 and do like it .The recall is may 5 and I'm reluctant cause I've no issues. It is super powerful and smooth ! I came from Hondas so I was used to solid reliable hoping this bike doesn't let me down.Anyway like your color and enjoy!
Thanks, I would do the recall. I've been told that it will eventually show up as problematic. Also, never know if it fails, what extra damage it might cause.

Thanks. Can't go wrong with either choice.
Goldwing is an oversized scooter.

I love love Harleys too. American grunt is a blast. But, you are right. This bike BLOWS away Harley at just about EVERY comparison point.

Ha! That is funny. Great minds huh? I do about the same, half way up.

That's exactly what this bike is, the sweet spot between a cool bagger and an awesome tourer.
I noticed the same with the windscreen all the way up (i'm 6''3"). I got a Roadmaster for my wife's comfort else I would have gotten one of these.

Congrats. Love mine so far as well. Seeing those scary recall pictures, I don’t know if I should get it done or leave it alone - lol.
Ya, you should get it done. It was scary looking tho... ;)
Yea I own one it's scheduled may 5 but I'm scared to get done! It's bee
As I said below, I would do it.

Cmdr Revz are you still enjoying the K1600B in 2022?
Sorry so late with response. Yes. this is my main bike. I will keep this one until I'm done riding.
Looks awesome, Commander!
Thanks Brother!
Great video! I'm torn between this and the R1259RT. Had you considered/ridden it before making your decision? Appreciate any comments!

@@COMMANDERREVZ yup.. thats where im leaning!!! Great channel, btw!!!!
Got mine today! I missed “her” so much!
Contrats!
Overheat much?
Sorry took so long to responds. I've had no issues whatsoever with overheating.
Hope they don't release that in Ireland. It so fugly and would be a right lump to lug around on the small roads here.
I get that, but you'd be surprised how sporty it actually is. There are much better choices though for Ireland.

Couldn’t be a better time to buy a brand new motorcycle
Ya. Timing was perfect huh? What a world!

베리베리 굿굿굿 ~~~^^♡
대단히 감사합니다
This is make Harley Davidson looks like piece of crap !! no doubt no reason to buy overweight and overpriced HD anymore !!
Harley is definitely heading south. There are such better choices out there... especially for the money.
Harley went to crap.
