You make so many great points . However, I'll speak men and women learning how to heal from previous relationships and getting under another man or woman to help heal. Sometimes, we as women and men do that because we don't wanna be alone. But sometimes it take for you to be alone like you said 1 to 2 year to let go of all those learned behaviors and toxic behaviors from that person and when u don't you bring baggage into what's new because you haven't healed. But sometime another person may be what you need to show you something different it's not always a bad thing but more so helping that person thru whatever it is.
