Hello there, just did my 981 base today with this system. It’s really good. Love it. Wanted to ask you if you have issues with exhaust wiggling because mine didn’t come with a bracket. The instructions told me to remove the stock bracket.
How is the fitment of the exhaust tips? The previous comments were saying it was off 1/2 inch to the left a few months ago. Has this been resolved?
@@jensenlawrence412 Fitment is great no issues there, the problem is that it doesn’t come with a bracket and it has a lot of drone. To be honest I don’t recommend this, it’s a two inch pipe and it’s made cheap. On top of that I don’t want to drive a Porsche that has a wiggling muffler.

@@DrivenbyLeyden The system shakes because you cannot fit a bracket on it, the oem bracket does not fit therefore it will shake. I just installed my soul exhaust system it fits with the oem bracket. So it doesn't shake.
@@arthurmouhibian8825 an exhaust that shakes increases the chances of cracking the pipes, looks like nothing is hold this up then?
Sounds great! How was the install? Any drone at all?
Not bad at all, just seems like when you are at low speeds creeping out of neighborhood in the morning with cold engine
Just makes you want to use the paddles more often and keep the revs up anyways cuz the sound is addictive
Fitment wasn't great, working with flat6 to get resolved...just off center by less than 1/2 inch but it just bugs me cuz you want it perfect..hopefully flat6motorsports can get issue resolved
Thanks for the feedback, uploading some incabin footage would be awesome! Debating whether i want this one the fabspeed or the soul performance. This one honestly sounds just as good i just dont want terrible drone. Im fine with a lil drone just dont want it to be unbearable.
Andrew Mooney I def recommend this one as it is so much less expensive and sound phenomenal... the drone is not bad at all and it’s just something prevalent with just about any exhaust on the market. So might as well save $1000 and go with this one. You’ll quickly figure out how to shift around any drone.
@@socalnsx Got the same issue on my 981. looks just like yours...closest I could get the tips is half an inch off center to the left. Have you had any luck with it? I wrestled it for a good 45 minutes.
Is the car on lowering springs?

You can tune the flat 6 and dump turbos on it. It’s most definitely a more capable engine. At its best it’s much better and at its worst it sounds much much better

I love exhaust with a deep rumble sound at idle, like distant thunder.... Top end I do not care so much, just not be to loud and not sound like a wet fart when you shit yourself lol ;) (risers seems to love that wet fart sound for some reason....).

thanks, yeah its always ON ;) I wish it was valved, but at that price I can live with it always on.....
Is this the steel or titanium version?
So after a year, any issues with the pipes, any welds cracking? Am I right that this exhaust is just floating, since it doesn't use the stock track, what holds it up?
no issues, but really wish it had some sort of support brackets...I just manually adjust/tighten it once in awhile
If one decides to use this exhaust, is there a required tune to prevent it from having constant codes?
You won’t get any codes with pretty much any aftermarket exhaust...plug and play
No codes unless you remove catalytic converters
Should get a tune to get the best out of your exhaust anyways
Sounds much better, but my god why'd they put all those crackles and pops in. That ain't it.
Hi, was the stock exhaust the Cayman S sports exhaust? Currently have a tuned Audi A7 but considering getting the Cayman 981, considering getting the "S" or do you recommend get the standard and put and get the S exhaust system on it like you, which may work out cheaper? I actually wanted a 2015 RS7 because i wanted a v8 roar but it seems like these Caymans sound good? Hard to tell on just hearing from the vids, haven't driven one yet only just decided today that this might be my next car
no, mine was non-sport exhaust that is why I went aftermarket....if the car was a manual, I never would have sold her

Unfortunately the stock exhaust on the Cayman S doesn’t sound the greatest and like 90% of S models for sale don’t have the PSE fitted to them (in the U.S). Thinking of leasing one, but in my perspective, what’s the point of paying 2K for an exhaust if you’re going to give it back in 3-4 years? Is the stock exhaust bad in your opinion?
Do you mean leasing the new 718? If so, that is a 4 banger that ....I would suggest buying a nicely used 981(2014-16) the last of the flat 6 Cayman S or base and just do what ever you please to it. fantastic cars!

That was just stock exhaust from Cayman S not PSE
how much power do you think it makes ?
I'm not sure, but I know the weight savings was huge!!! The OEM exhaust was a boat anchor compared to how light this one is.
