Hopefully I can afford to buy a G87 M2 someday. I still have my stock 2016 Genesis Coupe 3.8. The plan is to sell it someday when I make enough money. Add the Alpha-N spoiler wing on the car and it looks amazing.
What you need to remember is beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and in the flesh the G87 makes the F87 look ancient in my humble opinion, what you cant get away from is how better the new car is the ride is better its loads faster and more refined its grown up for want of a better description,once you have tried and seen one in the flesh you will not go back and the new one is closer to 500 BHP in real life most people that dislike this car have not driven it or indeed seen one in the wild so all I can say is go see and try one and make your own assumptions not assumptions based on other peoples findings Amen
I'm still not sold on the G87 body kit. It still looks too much like a third-party after-market kit would look and I can't now un-see that. For me an M-car should have a subtle aggression to it. The F87 does that much better for me. I've no doubt the G87 is devastatingly fast as a proper M-car should and I know you don't see the looks when you're driving it but still, just doesn't give me the tingles.
Something to point out: the time taken to get from 0-60 (or 0-62 should I say) in the 6MT G87 (which you drove) is 0.2 seconds slower than the 8AT counterpart, so the 0-62 time of the 6MT M2 G87 is claimed at 4.3 seconds.
Old one's pretty, new one's bad ass.

The old one with the 7speed dct went 4.1 0-60mph,the engine is over 400hp stock it's underrated 4 the m4
