How to sell antique coins
The video states that the Liberty Head nickel was replaced by the Buffalo nickel in 1912. That is incorrect--the first Buffalo nickel was minted in 1913.
The video also states that the 1913 Liberty Head nickel was struck "by mistake" and then released into circulation. This is also incorrect. All five of the known pieces were made on purpose by an unscrupulous mint employee who kept them to himself and, years later, brought them into the public eye in order to sell them a make a handsome profit.
The video also incorrectly states that the 1804 dollar was produced by the mint in 1804. In fact, all 1804 dollars were made in 1834 and 1835, and were indeed (despite what the video asserts) made for presentation purposes to dignitaries.
This is all basic numismatic knowledge and can be found in any coin book or on any coin collecting website. 🙂
