Kid, I respect a lot of what your saying, but 20 per hour is not enough money to live in California. Also, many of these adult career jobs don't pay enough to live. CEO's make about 300 times what an average worker of theirs make. This needs to be fixed or there are only going to be poor people and rich people. That being said, I am a Liberal but I share many of your views and hope we can all learn to speak about this country in a respectful way because that is the way we can start to get things done. Love your music.
Exactly. Executives have gotten a 350% pay raise since 1980 while workers have gotten a 12% raise in the same time period. Nobody talks about that.
California is doomed. You make decent money … but more than half goes to state TAX, and California government programs. You pay for EVERYTHING! Why is a house selling for $800,000 when one could buy same house for $80,000 20 yrs ago? WTH happened? It’s called liberal government. Government programs for EVERYTHING! Well, someone has to pay for those programs, and that’s YOU, the tax payer. So everything goes up in price, again, and again, and again.

Fast food jobs are a career today because America does not produce goods like it did years ago as Kid Rock remembers. I also grew up (60 years ago) in Detroit, an area that was FULL of factories and decent paying jobs. That era is gone and is not coming back. What was an "American economy" is now a Global economy. America's standard of living is too high which is why everything is made in low-cost-labor countries. I remember going into hardware shops and auto part shops buying parts for my 1969 Charger and every box and part was stamped "Made in USA". Go into an ACE hardware today, full of cheaply made junk from overseas.

Being upset about the failures around immigration policy in the US is one thing. Incessantly talking about it when it really doesn’t affect you, while there are dozens of bigger issues to use your platform for, is another thing entirely. Why does he keep talking about it? It’s not the biggest issue that we face as a country. At all. But it’s the number one thing he talks about right now? The only answer is misguided fear (he’s not afraid) or for political reasons (he says not to listen to him) or for dog whistling… (would that work on his fans?)…

If there's a will there's a way and if there's a way then subsequently there is going to be a will. I am strongly against the heavy flow of migrants that are easily making there way over to USA. Some would argue that the desire to live in the US is a healthy sign of a profitable lifestyle that the US offers to its inhabitants. I would like to make a reference to a natural ecosystem where that is healthy has an even balance of diverse biology (animals, plants, etc) but I think we are unnaturally playing with the demographics in the favor of big business. This imbalance of migrants creates an insatiable demand for housing . A healthy economy is reliant on expansion, construction, free market, investors. and Another big problem for me is the rising level of competitiveness in a normal work environment . I cannot compete with these individuals myself, I've had to look for different means of income . A warzone can be compared to a work system demographic that is saturated with certain ethnic group. They raise the bar to further company profits. In order to keep the majority vote they are willing to kill or die, so to speak . I've been working on and off here in PHX AZ with a number of different employers that promote this kind of work environment. Very profitable and unfair to the average joe .and I am blatantly Hispanic myself so it is difficult for me to voice myself
Its like working but with a gun pointed at your head during work hours. A neverending game of Russian roulette but with the employees, and you must comply with the fuxkery or you wont make it to the next paycheck. It is very cutthroat for the individual
Food service and retail jobs are largely done as a sole source of income by adults. They are some of the last remaining jobs in the country since everything has been centralized to Amazon or production is done outside of the country. They are the jobs that are available and done and need to pay well for the country to function
I think people forget and many Americans that is that there are trades to take part of. I have spent my life as a tradesman and have never been unemployed I've made a great living I'm white and 55 I think people need to learn how to f****** work again for a living. That said I can't stand this kid rock guy and what he stands for. We need some sane leadership in this country.
