The slim looks and is good. I don't know why people are hating on it (it be the people who have the original PS5 hating on it too); its smaller, comes with a larger SSD and detachable disk drive. There's nothing to hate on it about, yeah you don't have to give praise if you aren't impressed but that doesn't mean you need to give unnecessary hate.
think about future game preservation. If you buy the PS5 slim, in the future the servers will be gone. If you have to reset your PS5 slim or fix it, you can't activate the disc drive anymore. it will be a doorstop brick. they want everyone to go digital and to have full control of your hardware. just like our communist government taking control of everything with communism and digital currency. its called enslavement. Sony will make you have to buy a monthly subscription to play old games that you already have on disc but can't play b/c the servers are gone. its always about money & power and control.
Other people who doesn't own a Ps5 stills hates the Slim and wanna buy the Og. It's like the same thing but the Slim is just smaller. Overall, still a great console
And also has the new Wifi 6 and better Bluetooth connectivity than the original doesn’t have. The Slim is overall better than the OG PS5 in every way and upgraded components expect for the APU which is the same. Even the power supply is better. People are just jealous that they have the atrocious big PS5 with old technology in it.

So I owned a PS 5 original and sold it because it was too huge for our TV stand. This was a year ago and I missed having it to play some games. I contemplated getting it again and heard they made a smaller version. Pre-ordered it and it‘s ready for pickup this weekend. Really looking forward to it!

awesome unboxing. I have the original disc ps5 version and i prefer it than more this slim model. I just changed the cover plates on my PS5 to Cobalt blue it looks so good its a metallic blue.

The og ps5 looks like Amore premium unit, while the slim looks like a cheap strip down version
However it doesnt look about as big a room purfier unit, id take the slim anyday

A lot of people have issues with the disc drives stop reading discs. It is very easy to exchange a faulty disc drive

Im glad i did not get the OG version i waited and may wait for pro release but its hard to wait, when you want to game but been running an xbox series s for now it was cheap and fits the gaming needs for now and that was all that i could get my hands on at the time but i love Sony, ill feel at home again, great video!! The latest console I owned was my ps3 i bought in 2008 until recently when i got this ps5 slim. It's amazing so far. Been having a blast .

If you already own a PS5, no, don’t buy the ‘slim’. If you don’t already own a PS5 then this will be the console you’ll buy as the original design has now been phased out. That’s it in a nutshell.

I just bought a ps5 Zander my sister said it was the slim. However I didn’t think it was true because it didn’t say it on the box. I see she knows what she’s talking about. It’s amazing btw. I had an og ps4 for about 8 years until now.

i had no choice in the matter of what ps5 i got, as my parents bought it as a surprise after they stopped selling the original, and they had no clue. i have zero issues with the slim to be dead honest. its great.

In my opinion, The Slim is great but now is not the time it is better. The Og is better for now because it has a multipurpose stand that comes with the box which can be used as vertically or horizontally and it is free! Unlike the Slim instead they give you this "A" little legs which feels cheap that is designed only for horizontally and also if you want the vertical stand, yeah give me your money cause that costs an extra 30$😊 The Slim has been test already so what I'm about to say is true, it is a tad louder/quieter than the Og Ps5 due to having a smaller fan, smaller heatsink, smaller holes/airflow, and no vent grills! Vent grills prevents dust/fur/any dirty thing from coming through the console's fan, I hate for Sony removing it! It being a tad louder/hotter won't really matter if you play nowhere near the console, so not a really big deal👍. It also uses the same power as the Og Ps5 bc it still has the same 6nm chip, so don't believe anyone saying the Ps5 Slim is much much much better at saving electricity. The fact it is more expensive too is wild, the Og is going for a cheaper price since Sony is trying to get it out of the selves now, which is kinda sad😔. Also, for your information. The Og Launch Ps5 n 1100 series Ps5 is indeed louder/hotter than the Ps5 Slim but the 1200 series Ps5 is a tad quieter/cooler than the Slim like I said earlier which isn't really a big deal. The Og Launch n 1100 series Ps5 uses the most power out of all of them since it has the 7nm chip unlike the 1200 series Ps5 n Ps5 slim which both have the 6nm chip. I feel like the disc-drive for the Slim is removable and easily to fix because it wasn't really designed to last long in my guess. Overall, while the Ps5 Slim is great and definitely good for new buyers. I might say maybe if you are concerned about size and you want that extra little storage, go for it. But if you want a little better cooling system and isn't concerned about Size, then maybe for the Og. As of rumors right now, the Pro is in development, maybe wait for that one😉. Rumored to release in late 2024👍 But if you really ain't focusing about getting the highest specs possible, then maybe get the Og or Slim because after all, it is your opinion which to get😊!

Buy the Slim if you want that little extra storage, A little legs that as a stand (For Horizontal use only, you have to buy the 30$ vertical stand if you want your console vertical) concerned about size, that 2 usb-c ports(only important if you have PlayStation accessories like Ps Vr2, Headphones and etc....).
Buy the Og if you want a little better cooling system as it was already proven that the Og is a tad quieter/cooler than the Slim, it uses the same electricity as the Slim so no need to worry about saving money, the 0g has a FREE multipurpose stand that can be used as a horizontally stand or vertically stand, and vent grills. The 0g Ps5 has vent grills, the thing of the top which prevents any dust from coming through while the slim doesn't have one. Overall, in shortcut. Get the slim if you like the little additional features. Get the Og if you like that little better cooling system

that's the point of a pro😭 The pro is also going to be the traditional console to play GTA 6 on in the future, Sony already annouced that "the PS5 Pro will the most powerful gaming console ever"

I just brought the original standard PS5 like 3 weeks ago from Best Buy when I set it to be picked up after I finished work on Sunday October 22nd got the PS5 as a Birthday gift/Christmas gift for myself love the console cant believe how big and huge it is when I brought it

@JustnPage I got 11 games now but when I got the console the 3 games I had already was Spider-Man 2 🕷 that I pre-ordered from Amazon, The Last Of Us Part 1 remake and Uncharted Leagcy Of Thieves Collection Remastered which I also brought from Amazon as well

i think the slim is a cost reduced ps5 but they did not lower the price which is dissapointing. the slim seems to run hotter and make more noise. i would go for the og ps5.
Plus with the OG PS5 you can play your disc off-line, with the PS5 slim wi-fi is mandatory on or offline! Wild corny🤦🏾♂️

Any smart tv really can work, just won't get the max potential graphically. I have the an NVMe M.2 by Samsung

I picked up the spiderman version and got the call of duty game on disk. I had got the OG PS5 a week before selling it for $400 and buying the slim. I payed $300 for tge OG PS5. I recommend the horizontal stand cause the liquid metal inside the ps5 would go to the bottom and may cause over heating after time.

I have a ps5 slim and i woukd recommend buying the slim if you dont have one for the eldd electricity usage and extra 200 gb but if you have the og,keep it.
From a timeless design of the PS4, this is what we have. I just got a slim cause I wanted to upgrade from a PS4 to play exclusive PS5 games and GTA 6 but this design sucks. The new gen Xbox consoles look amazing.
Girlfriend purchased ps5 1202a disc version in December 2022 is it worth while to upgrade to the ps5 slim
Nah. It's smaller and has better IO and internal storage, but you can always throw in a bigger NVMe SSD for storage and the IO, while frustrating, is not worth another $500.
The only time it might make sense to upgrade is if this "slim" version becomes super cheap, might make sense to get one with a spare disc drive in case the drive on yours fails.
@@bubmario agreed. I had the original 1015A from preorders and still runs with zero issues. I would just get the pro when that releases if you’re looking to upgrade in the future. And even that depends on what they’re offering.

I have the same problem with my new PS5 Slim. The first day I bought it I played Resident Evil 3 and the fan was very loud. Other games like LEGO STAR WARS didn't demand as much from the console and you couldn't hear the fan at all. Has anyone had a very loud fan since the first day they bought the PS5 Slim?
I didn’t but after some time when i started playing fortnite it overheated and tge fan got loud and the playstation turned off automatically
