I would have loved meeting this gentleman and hearing his stories. His eyes were so kind and he was so peaceful and mild mannered. Maybe today we could see his life as a hard one but he seemed to get on with it and be happy. Nowadays we complain too much about everything and we forget that simplicity and being neighborly would bring so much warmth all around.

Thank you for posting this wonderful film. I've known of John Doherty and his fiddling for over 35 years, but have never seen this before. I'm a California native, but my gt grandfather was born very near Killybegs.
