Its a bad way of conveying information because it distracts from anything else going on. Grant's played a lot of SC2 and has learned to play around these distractions, it lets him play in ranked without the chat getting in the way and it lets him play customs and campaigns better and make videos/stream better if he's not distracted by text that's unimportant. In this particular case, that skill works against him.
Yeah, this focus becomes very noticeable, when Grant and other SC2 streamers tend to ignore new buttons and tooltips, IE. Abathur notes on everything, not just the combat units. But such is life, streamer blindness is a known thing already.

@@huynhphucm445 Kind of? I don't think it's particularly worth having larva randomly around, since you'd then have to hunt for them if you're exploring the map. Plus I think SC2 Larva also die immediately off of creep. So it's only REALLY good if you're sitting on your base and having Kerrigan chase some queens.
One of the testers of the mod here. I mostly participated in the early days of testing but the amount of tweaks some units went though was significant example being the original panicked queen burrowed when near kerri which as you can guess didn't work well gameplay wise as you needed to pick kerri or the queens XD. Additional the Roaches were originally buffed roaches but had chances of doing random actions such, as burrowing, attacking your own units, stunning themselves, Dancing, going berserk so on and so forth. This also unfortunately didn't work because the rate at which you had to play wacka burrow roach because tick rate and % chance when the game speed is default fastest most of the time means they burrow way more often then intended even with 0.5% chance to burrow. This mod had a long amount of work put into it for the amount of shenanigans he accomplished. So I'm glad Hiccups getting his time to shine.
I never thought I'd see a 'Shockwave Chaos'-esque mod for StarCraft 2. 26:25 Grant, that's rude. The Overlord might take 3-5 business days, but dread it, run from it, the Overlord still arrives.
This mod was hilarious to play! Definitely had both hits and misses with changes, but overall a joy. I'm excited to see Grant playing through some of the crazy later missions.
He's done it on stream before, there's just not any vods of it anywhere. Which is a shame, because it was hilarious seeing him react to the various characters on the Hyperion.
Oh you're playing this now, nice! I won't cover everything that was missed in each video since I figure you'll work most of it out as you go and I don't need to spoil everything. Because the Queen one is a bit obscure, though - they just have higher base movespeed and energy regen in exchange for the anxiety, along with the damage stats you noted. Oh - and the roach ambush does up to 3 attacks for each roach if there are nearby targets. Range is roughly the same as their normal attack. It's the most useful on this mission against attack waves, since they don't have detection to start hitting you before you get on top of them.
I love how this changes the zerg playstyle, every unit got it's role fliiped. it's less about swarming the enemies and more about wearing them down. cinematic blast for crowd control. flip for yeeting you some time. overlords at the front to soak damage for the roaches. larva on the battlefield so you could always replenish the overlords and keep them fed and stacked. and if one's about to die, you just push it back and give it some shields while the queens in the back heal it. and of course, shielded banlings that bypass defenses to reach the targets.
hey, a mod I played. Those abathur comments are very vague, some later units I couldnt entirely figure out what they did because the comments told me basically nothing
Ye, would be nice if Grant used that key so we don't have to pause the video to read. If that can be done while an attack is coming so Grant can lose all his mineral line at the same time would be nice.
Hey Grant love your content, to assist you I'll let you know that there are a few tool tips you missed, I don't want to spoil what they do but I will tell you what you missed as i understand its hard to pay attention to everything especially in a mod like this as it is just craziness and its hard to stop and read everything. 1. Drones 2. Creep Tumours 3. Evo Chamber/Spire (when you get it) Rule of thumb, if something has an Abathur tooltip/portrait then it has some wackiness to it (i also recommend hard as I had to bump it down to normal myself) I apologize if this seems antagonistic but I just want you to experience as much of this mod as possible GLHF / GGWP
I can't wait for someone to make a campaign that swap every unit in the game, Marine with a Psi blade , Zergling with a gun and Zealot with a zergling claw.
Gotta remember, Roaches aren't a frontline unit in this mod. They don't have that much hp and no armor means they will get melted. To make it worse, they are still "armored" so stalkers, immortals, and void rays still do bonus damage. (or marauders, siege tanks, and thors) They really are an ambush unit in this mod and it looks like the mod wants you to use lings as a front line. Also looked like the perfect ling had aberration movement characteristics.
For harvest of screams maybe the roaches would feel a lot better if the flash freeze disabled cannon detection so the roaches could get on top of them? It would let them do….whatever they’re trying to do.
So the queens store up larvae then… get surprised by Kerrigan, and… then large brown logs come out. As Artanis would say- “Nevermind, I do not wish to know.”

i think anxiety queens are a good touch since your early game won't be 100% just kerrigan doing all the stuff. It's either useless queens or useless kerrigan ;) Future levels would probably come back to being kerrigan-centric unless something cool happens with other units ;o

What I find most funny about this mod is that Overlord "being a giant flying head with tentacles" being able to abduct enemy units is actually very logical.
As far as weird funny ones go, Ling of Wiberty is kind of similar. Makes big changes to the Terran faction that makes it feel really strange and different to play. There are Cattlebruisers unlocked by the Fusion Cow, for instance.
The only reason why the 360 no scope is not good is because it needs stealth set up time. Since the photon cannons reveal them, you can't use that set up time to get properly stuck in.
I still have the idea for Heros Of Liberation. Start with the Mercenary compound. Which gains three tabs of heros. every hero has three 'tiers' that must be bought in order to buy more advanced choices. The consequence? You can only buy Marines if you buy Tychus or Reynor. Only own Vulture bikes thanks to Reynor, only get Thors with Tychus t2, only get BC's with T3 Reynor or Horner. I believe Selendis gives you a heroic Carrier and a Mothership Core you can later upgrade... Sacrifice Selendis to the Meme lords and rebuy her to get multiple Mothership cores ans upgrade them together for Mothership fleets. Because the Momma ship summons random minions and is itself dangerous.
I would like to request that you read Abathur's tool tip about each of the new units at the end of each episode like you did in Memes of Liberty/Legacy of the Memes. Just so we can be 100% clear about what everything does. Thanks a bunch! And good luck! This mod looks amazing!
