Although i have not watched any of the twister movies, I couldn’t agree more: Whenever a movie has a character that is so blatantly shoved into my face as a empowered woman I get very bored, as it feels to me very similar to a token character. I love diversity in movies, as it often tells better stories but so often big companies just pretend to being diverse by making the most stereotypical “woke” (hate using this term) characters ever

Best part of the movie was around the 15 minute mark during the call to action scene
A young man says without laughing "the twisters are coming for our families"
10/10 movie with an evil centiant tornado villian

I agree and disagree. With the concept that the lead character is a strong female character doesn’t inherently make it woke. Conservatives or people just generally not on the left aren’t afraid of a strong female being the lead. What they have an issue with is when they throw it in your face that she’s a girl and she can do everything a man can do if not better. I think Twisters kept the term climate change out and made the lead character a female that can make mistakes was a great way to let everyone enjoy the movie as it is meant to be portrayed instead of a political piece.
