Most unique/risky song on the album, and I think it's an absolute success. I do wish this album had more Disobey vibes (djenty, high speed, high octane riffs with contrasting heavy and melodic choruses/verses) but musically it's a significant step forward.
They've had some ballads in the first 2 albums especially Hear Me and Sober so this doesn't surprise me. I really like their balanced music. I love me a good deal of metal, but I'm a rock fan at heart.
A most excellent Classic Rock number that cycles through acoustic and hard rock movements. Get this wrong and you can end up with a mess, but all the movements blend nicely to make a coherent well-structured tune. I liked the way that the coda cycled it back to the acoustic intro. Not one to throw yourself around the room to, but one you'd put on for the housework. My score: Excellent 5*
Wide awake With no control Need a change Need a miracle Wish I could let it go I'll become a ghost Then no one would ever know How long I've been here Saturdays Yeah They come and go Springfield summer If you know, you know It's the same everyday Yeah Taking pictures Won't save me Oh God I see the bottom And I know where that goes It's a crazy conversation But I need it the most Ain't no rhyme Ain't no reason When I'm fixing to go But I'm waiting for the day When the devil Comes calling me again Will you remember All I've ever meant (All I've ever meant) I sacrificed and practiced Playing for pretend Springfield summers Pouring rain on me again Rain on me again Things change Now I found my role Not afraid It's unbelievable Placing my fear on hold No longer It's only touch and go Swimming through my tears No more claims Yeah, that got real old Taking cover Not no more It's just the way of my brain Yeah Electrifying the way Yeah Oh God I see the bottom And I know where that goes It's a crazy conversation But I need it the most Ain't no rhyme Ain't no reason When I'm fixing to go But I'm waiting for the day When the devil Comes calling me again Will you remember All I've ever meant (All I've ever meant) I sacrificed and practiced Playing for pretend Springfield summers Pouring rain on me again Rain on me again Yeah! Oh God I see the bottom And I know where that goes It's a crazy conversation But I need it the most Ain't no rhyme Ain't no reason When I'm fixing to go But I'm waiting for the day When the devil Comes calling me again Will you remember All I've ever meant (All I've ever meant) I sacrificed and practiced Playing for pretend Springfield summers Pouring rain on me again Rain on me again Springfield summers Pouring rain on me again Rain on me again
I think this song is brilliant. The chorus melody caught me so off guard I just stopped in my tracks. It is so good, I don't think the lyrics actually matter THAT much as a listener. However, today I was listening on repeat again, and it occurred to me that if you replace BOTTOM in the prechorus, as most sources online seem to indicate is accurate, with BOTTLE, it becomes an absolute masterpiece about addiction or substance abuse.
That voice! I think you've heard that sooo much time and maybe too much but guys... I'm currently working on a comic-book project and wow this new album give me the motivation I was waiting for since two months! The voice of the new singer suit really well with one of my main character and it make me smile anytime I hear it : and the rhythm is so good, thanks a lot for what you're giving us all! ⭐
Dont know where this came from, but im absolutely positive its my favorite song on this album! Not sure what Springfield this new guy is singing about but it literally brought tears to my eyes remembering being a kid in Springfield Missouri. Thank you guys for putting this out!!!!!!!$!!!!!!!
I could see this song being used as a story of two brothers who went to war together. They arrive to base, and discharge. They both travel home together, and go their separate ways after a heartfelt hug. Both find love, and begin their new lives. They both find jobs and start school at a local college to support their future families. Unfortunately both brothers suffer from severe PTSD, and one night they both wake up screaming in a rampage due to past events on the battlefield. The older brother is calmed down by his girlfriend, but the younger brother ends up hurting his partner and eventually calms down after realizing what he’s done. The next day, both brothers find a hobby to help cope with their pain. The older brother finds a martial arts gym, and begins training to learn how to channel his emotions. The younger brother picks up smoking, drinking, and eventually turns to drugs to numb the pain. Both brothers reach out to each other frequently and catch up with how they’re doing in life. Both talk about how they are flourishing with their relationships, schooling, work, and hobbies. The older brother talks about potentially fighting in the cage one day and how he wants his younger brother in his corner to back him up, like they did wrestling in school. The younger brother promises to be there “no matter what”. The younger brother asks his older brother how he really wants to fish together like the old days before war, and the older brother promises to fish with his younger brother “just like old times”. Unfortunately the brother who turned to drugs didn’t mention that he has an abusive relationship with his girlfriend. He also dropped out of school due to failing grades. He’s working paycheck to paycheck and is stressed out at his job, and he’s becoming dependent on drugs and alcohol. One night both brothers are at a bar and the older brother notices the dead look in his younger brothers eyes. Staring into a dark void and drinking far more than he should. The older brother attempts to put the his brother’s bottle down, and the younger brother turns violent. The older brother subdues his younger brother and takes him home only to find drugs, cigarette butts, and empty bottles all over his younger brothers house. He sets his brother down and stays up all night waiting for him to wake up. 11 hours later the younger brother regains consciousness and finds his older brother sitting across the room with a concerned look on his face. The two talk it out, and after a sincere conversation the two go out to find the younger brother help. They find a therapist and scheduled appointments that the older brother paid for. They end the day by visiting a local fishing store and buy supplies for a last minute fishing trip the older brother insisted they take. The younger brother agreed, but only if they went to his favorite fishing spot. The older brother even bought a custom fishing pole with his brothers name engraved on it. Once both brothers arrived at the younger brother’s home, the older brother wanted to stay the night to watch his brother. The younger brother and his girlfriend told him everything would be ok, and that they’d see him tomorrow for the fishing trip. The older brother hesitantly left their home, and took his younger brothers word. Shortly after the older brother left, the younger brother hopped on his PlayStation and began drinking again. He drank over half a fifth of vodka, and two 6 packs of strong beer. He began arguing with his girlfriend again about drinking too much, and pushed her out of the room. He locked the door, and reached out for his pistol across the table. The younger brother unholstered his pistol, switched it to fire, and took his own life shortly after. The older brother received a phone call moments later… The screams the older brother heard from his younger brothers girlfriend petrified him. At first he found himself in the battlefield again. Screams filled the room, and he began to panic as he saw his dead brother on the ground in front of him. He yelled, and ran back and fourth frantically before composing himself and running to his car to see his dead brother. Once the older brother arrived at his younger brother’s house, all he saw was yellow tape and police at the driveway. He charged through the police that wouldn’t let him past, but was overpowered by 4 additional cops. The older brother begged to see his brother one last time, and how he didn’t care about seeing blood because he’s been to war. The police were able to calm the brother down and he waited outside patiently. The last time the older brother ever saw his younger brother again, was in a body bag. That same dead look in the older brothers eye remained the same for days to come. At home, school, work, training, his brothers funeral, at his brothers favorite fishing spot, and in a locker room where he waited for his moment to participate in his first MMA fight. The younger brother was there however. As the older brother received his brothers ashes, he also purchased a keep sake in the shape of a teardrop to put on his dog tags. The keepsake contained a small portion of his brothers ashes. No matter where the older brother went, his younger brother was there “no matter what” as promised.
Awesome song, i don’t like too many country songs, but the mix is perfect, rock/country I don’t know many country songs, maybe 2, but this is obviously the best one out there
the country verse is embarrassing, but the chorus is really good. why did you have to put such a good chorus in the middle of an otherwise garbage song lol
I think it fits really well actually. Like reflecting on choices and their consensquences but using calm vs heavy. Sure the song is different then their normal style but the song isn't half bad and the buildup is catchy.

Just an amazing voice with great music
This is a hit! Seen band live 7 times. Can’t wait to see them live with DL . This guy can sing!!!
7 times? In the short 4 years they've been making music since Disobey? 😮
@@hectorcollazo8845 I seen them with FFDP five of though times. FFDP is my favorite and I followed them one year in five different cities.
@@lonniematthews4822 I love FFDP as well. To think Zoltan is Bad Wolves' manager. 😎🤘
Love the country/rock vibe on this song. Great vocal performance from the new singer. My Current favourite song.

Wide awake
With no control
Need a change
Need a miracle
Wish I could let it go
I'll become a ghost
Then no one would ever know
How long
I've been here
Saturdays
Yeah
They come and go
Springfield summer
If you know, you know
It's the same everyday
Yeah
Taking pictures
Won't save me
Oh God
I see the bottom
And I know where that goes
It's a crazy conversation
But I need it the most
Ain't no rhyme
Ain't no reason
When I'm fixing to go
But I'm waiting for the day
When the devil
Comes calling me again
Will you remember
All I've ever meant (All I've ever meant)
I sacrificed and practiced
Playing for pretend
Springfield summers
Pouring rain on me again
Rain on me again
Things change
Now I found my role
Not afraid
It's unbelievable
Placing my fear on hold
No longer
It's only touch and go
Swimming through my tears
No more claims
Yeah, that got real old
Taking cover
Not no more
It's just the way of my brain
Yeah
Electrifying the way
Yeah
Oh God
I see the bottom
And I know where that goes
It's a crazy conversation
But I need it the most
Ain't no rhyme
Ain't no reason
When I'm fixing to go
But I'm waiting for the day
When the devil
Comes calling me again
Will you remember
All I've ever meant (All I've ever meant)
I sacrificed and practiced
Playing for pretend
Springfield summers
Pouring rain on me again
Rain on me again
Yeah!
Oh God
I see the bottom
And I know where that goes
It's a crazy conversation
But I need it the most
Ain't no rhyme
Ain't no reason
When I'm fixing to go
But I'm waiting for the day
When the devil
Comes calling me again
Will you remember
All I've ever meant (All I've ever meant)
I sacrificed and practiced
Playing for pretend
Springfield summers
Pouring rain on me again
Rain on me again
Springfield summers
Pouring rain on me again
Rain on me again

Risky move to add a country vibe but damn. I actually did this like this
Amazing🤩
I love it ❤
Best one on the album imo
Amazing song ❤️. This album is so much more melodic then previous albums. Love DL Laskiewicz ❤️
alguien más los escucha desde México???
Claro hermano 🤜🏻🤛🏻 esto si es música
In the best way possible, it reminds me of early Zac Brown Band. Love a bit of country twang, especially when it's unexpected.
This chorus hits like a truck
W-I-C-K-E-D SONG..👏🔥🤘🔥👍
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 excellent
This is the best lead vocalist replacement since the newest singer of Saliva after Josey Scott.
I hear ya. I love Saliva whether it's Josey or Bobby. Same with Bad Wolves. Love Tommy and DL.
Bands have their own sound. Band decisions and if fans dislike it then it's not our fault that you chose to not support the band like us.

0:46. Why does this sound like another song I've heard? Driving me crazy because I can't place it exactly. Maybe I'm crazy idk

I disagree, I think it's a perfect contrast and a great way to blend styles!
