I loved every minute. Dame Edna is an Icon wonderful, funny, intelligent Barry Humphries. But I love for a long long time Cliff Richards. Wonderful artist & character. God bless you both.
Dame Edna is NOT a "drag queen" who exist to degrade and mock women in gender blackfaze. He is portraying a unique character, which makes him one of the very rare and few males in women's clothing that is actually entertaining.
@@KaliMaaaaa Thanks for making this important point. Dame Edna is of course one of several characters developed by the greatly talented Barry Humphries, and not a drag queen. Some people are still slightly put off by a man dressing as a woman, though - even as part of an act. And the less we say about Sir Les Paterson's ties the better...
All guests and hosts on shows with Edna sensibly learned it was best to just shut up and let her get on with it because nobody could possibly compete. But it would've been interesting to have seen Edna use her considerable wits to really engage the awful Mary Whitehouse.
