Ive enjoyed this. You can tell that these 2 have met on a more personal level like they already know each other and get along well. Rob was great with the questions he was like oh god not this but as a sport he went along and jamie was ready for his reactions as soon as he read the questions jamie new what was going to come thats why he was laughing so much. I really thought they did good. X
I love both Jamie and Rob separately but I don't feel they were really on the same wavelength in this interview. I feel Rob gave the impression that he didn't really like Jamie and was sort of exasperated by him.
I agree. I'm really fond of them both but it was a little stilted and awkward at times. Rob can be a bit intimidating these days and Jamie seemed a little starstruck. It might have been partly because Rob didn't want to risk giving anything away about the G&S finale as it got lighter and less painful when they got onto a more general conversation. Great interview, anyway and the finale was lovely
WILTY, other than strictly dancing, Qi, I think they are currently the only shows I enjoy on the BBC, imo? Thank you for sharing this. Will watch Gavin and Stacey this Christmas yet feel uncomfortable watching James Cordon nowadays, can't reason why? Thank you Jamie for such a great interview with such a charming man. 🎄🇬🇧👵
It's because they're using jump cuts in this section compared to the main interview which is really noticeable, probably to hide information or off topic dialogue
Well done, Jamie. Rob is a very talented man but he has a defensive and condescending edge that sometimes kills the moment in communication. Drop it, Rob; you're amazing already ;-) ; You don't need to be so uptight and protective. Relax. Merry Christmas!
@@craigtroth4524 I don’t think he has ever tried / wanted to be a serious interviewer. His style is very casual. Like two friends having a chat. It works.
This was dire and exhausting, excruciating to watch. Rob Brydon was an utter bore...it was like pulling teeth. I gave up at the " Pause into podcast" comment. I would have told Mr Brydon to phuq off.
I love Rob Brydon but I cannot stand Gavin and Stacey,I have tried to watch it so many times becaise of all the hype and every time I am astounded that this series has gotten so much love and adulation. By comparison Human Remains was a masterpiece and beats Gavin and stacey hands,I cannot for the life of me understand why its so popular and also find Robs character is it to be an embarassing portrayal of a character that is hard to believe in and is so rediculously unbelievable
The vaping/football section got me 🤣 could be a comedy section on its own. True legend

That was Brilliant! Laughed out loud! 😁❤
Love Rob! Two very different people and I think their communication style is different but really enjoyed this! ❤
This was a wonderful interview. It was very slow paced and very calm which is very different but very much entertaining
Worked with Rob on set (I was an extra for the finale of Gavin and Stacey), he's a class guy! Wouldn't mind working with him again.
Great guy💥💥

Yeah, but I think Rob likes Jamie in a patient father kind of way.

It’s just the humour 😅😂
Totally disagree I think they appear to be actually very comfortable in each other’s company! Rob is just Rob and Jamie is just Jamie ❤
I very much think they were. They already know each other and are pretty comfortable together, I thought.

I love Rob ❤😂
Brilliant interview ~ one of my faves 🤩
2 different communication styles i thoroughly enjoyed this
Enjoyed this interview 😂
Loved this
I loved this
Looking forward to watching Gavin and Stacey
How come there’s so many weird cuts in the edit during that 8 question section? There’s like 15 different cuts there, strange.
It's because they're using jump cuts in this section compared to the main interview which is really noticeable, probably to hide information or off topic dialogue
Ive really enjoyed Jamies interviews but feel he and Rob didnt gel very well here. The whole interview felt very stilted and surface level.
why is rob lowkey rude , i love him

Jamie Laing shouldn't try to be a serious interviewer because he hasnt got what it takes.......got little to do with Rob's personality to be fair
@@craigtroth4524 No, I think Jamie's coming along very well. Each to their own, eh! Merry Christmas.

Love Rob and I love Jamie…. But this interview fails on a number of levels 🤨
Unfortunately the host wasn’t on his game in this one 😔
34:10 wow thats an interesting point
Love Rob but can’t stand him throughout this podcast - just clashing constantly!
Bryn got no love for this guy 😂
Love but could’ve given a better intro 😅
There's no way Rob listens to any Lefty and thinks.. that makes sense

Why doesn't an interviewer do something different and NOT ask about the fishing trip. Geez.
I don't want to know about fishing trip, if you find out the reaction would be, is that it. Better not to know.

God Jamie was awful in this, watching the Dish interview with Rob and then this just shows how poor Jamies interview skills are
'I wouldn't be surprised if she worked for putin' 😂 so funny, obvs a dig at Jamie's foreign wife 😅
Robs too rude
