I think it's the first time when I hear a live session that's so much better than the studio version. I've always loved this song but this is just mindblowing!
The chorus I think is in Latin. Odi Et Amo- Hate and Love. Meus Carus Hostilis-my dear/beloved enemy. (says after Odi Et Amo 2x) Ego exuro vobis- I will burn for you (sings it after Odi Et Amo 2x and Meus Carus Hostilis and does another Odi Et Amo at the SECOND chorus) So yeah, it's Latin!
I did some more research, and yes it is Meus carus, hostilis(My beloved enemy) Later it's Ego exuro vobis(I burn for you). In the background apparently(I don't hear it) is "quare id faciam, fortasse et excrucior"(How can I do this, you ask). Then "Nescio, sed fieri sentio et excrucior"(I do not know. But I feel it happening, and I am tortured.
odi et amo is "I hate and I love" the second line is not what you think. It's "me oscoros" which means "I have fallen". She is a great singer/songwriter. Born in NYC moved to Moscow after 9 months, trained as an opera singer(pretty obvious lol). I have learned how to play "Dreamer" and am playing it tomorrow. Wish me luck, I will probably hurt myself vocally;.
Where else would it come from? Odi et amo, I hate and I love. The song's premise is clear and it is obviously referencing the poem. I find it fascinating that we are still, in today's age, reading and referencing ancient works from 2k years ago, especially considering no one speaks Latin anymore. It's amazing!
I used to like her but since the Russian invasion I can't stand her anymore due to her vague position (even defending them sometimes) about Russia and constantly blaming americans for everything. On top of that, she still continues to sing in Russia language. Sorry but enough if enough for me.

a bit swan lake + a bit opera + a bit 'les misérables' yes?
A lot of Symphony #40 by Mozart, more like

Great! But the balala part seems to be a little incongruent with the mood, better drop that.
