This is one of the best performances, featuring the best phrasing, dynamic nuance, and musicianship I have ever heard of this work. Congratulations to these excellent players.
Beautiful. This group really brought out what is in this wonderful music. Yura Lee, the first violinist, shows tremendous humility of the best kind in underplaying when others must shine. Peter Wiley provides a solid foundation. Thanks for rolling the credits at the end so that we could learn who the players were. I recognized Peter right away, but the others were unknown to me until I saw the credits.
VERY VERY BEAUTIFUL! ...Not only for a live performance! Such taste AND heart-full Tone from everyone! An ensemble with the knowledge of the importance of taking time... Thank you very much!
Shame on the first fiddler that she uses any note without vibrato, especially in a confectionery piece like the Schubert C major quintet. It makes an ugly ugly sound. Go back and listen to the Budapest string quartet with Bernar Heifetz.

Thank you, Jeff Tucker.
Two of my favorite cellist working together, it's like dream finally come true

Christopher Herrmann Thank you for your kind words! We'll be posting many more performances from this past summer!
@@ChamberFestCleveland That's good news for those of us who admire such delicate yet so intense playing. Applause!!
More of these quintett players, please!
The best recording of the piece I've listened to. It's just too bad that it's only the first movement.
Have you heard the Emerson String Quartet's version with Rostropovich?
ohh....... gorgeous...... That opening chord was to die for.......
Absolutely beautiful!
So many details god!
So wunderbar...warum nicht das ganze Quintett?
when the theme comes back again at 2:45 though...
