Emma - you are such a lovely, graceful young woman full of lovely ideas. Please don't be afraid of putting your ideas "out there". I know I am not the only one who appreciates all the work you do behind this channel. So thank you so much❤️.
It can be nerve wracking to put your own creations out there, but you are brave and can do it! Step into your confidence. Not everything is for everyone, but the right people will find what they are looking for, and they will share them with likeminded friends. You make lovely things, and I am so happy that you are making patterns for them. I wish you continued success. (And I believe you will have it...)
Emma, I have been watching your channel since the beginning. Back then I commented saying how your channel is my absolute favorite, and that hasn't changed! I could watch you all day! Thank you for creating this content that brings me so much joy 😊
I love having your videos on in the background of my own hand quilting projects. You have such a lovely calming presence. Also the color shirt you’re wearing in this video is so pretty on you, really makes your eyes pop! Keep up the good work!
Love everything you do Emma, and never feel that what you do isn't good enough! So great to know that you have lots of different projects on the go at the same time, and that it's not just me who gets a bit bored and likes to have a couple of different things on the go at one time.
Don’t be afraid Emma, you have inspired me and lots of other people to try EPP and create beautiful things, will definitely be trying the lovely house sewing case 😊❤
Oh Emma the things you are making are gorgeous! Particularly love the house sewing case and the beautiful crochet for your cushion! Keep going when you can with your videos. We all know that life is busy and you have a family too xx
Your prototypes are awesome and the kits you are offering. I am glad you decided to try the larger sewing house organizer. You are really talented. Thank you for sharing .
Emma, you have such a gift in all of your creative ideas, patterns, starts, and finishings❣️🥰 I wish you all the very best in all of your future endeavors❣️🥰 I absolutely enjoy your videos❣️🥰 Thank you so much for sharing, it's very much appreciated❣️🥰 For you and your family, please stay healthy, safe and happy always❣️🥰
Emma, you seriously need to write books with your patterns and even your freebie patterns. You could also advertise you sell your kits for each pattern in the books in your shop. So between your videos and your books you would probably need help to put your kits together to sell and mail. You are so creative, I love all your videos you are such an inspiration to this community. I use all your videos over and over they are a wealth of information it would be so helpful to have all that information in books as well. Thank you.
thank you ever so much Carmen, that is such a lovely thing to say, my dream is to write a book one day, so hopefully it will happen. Your encouragement means so much, thank you
Keep going Emma. We are all here to support your brilliant ideas. Thank you for another amazing video.Hurry up I can’t wait to make the cottage sewing case😂
Hi Emma. It was so lovely to watch your video. They are always so gentle and everything you sew is so very sweet and pretty. I love the fabrics from Elmhirst Fabrics. They are so sweet and vintage looking. ❤
Hi Jacqueline, thank you for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed it. Finding Elmhirst Fabrics was very lucky, I love their fabrics so much! Hope you have a lovely day 🌸
I really want to thank you for your videos. You are relaxing to listen to and your ideas are so creative. I'm looking forward to the cute vanity case pattern. Congratulations on the success of your classes too.
Yes! I did that with one actually and it was really fun. I thought I’d package my kits in bags as it’s better than plastic because they can be reused. 😊🌸
Another little gem! It has been utterly magical to spend the day with you and Kelly in Ironbridge, I still have to pinch myself to believe it was all very real! Thank you for all the amazing preparation and delicate care you put into our bags! I hope that all the goodness felt and shared then will continue to inspire and spur you on for you truly deserve it! 🪡🤗🧵🥰
oh it was a joy to meet you Nathalie, I feel we are kindred spirits. It was such a lovely day and I am so thankful to you for coming, I loved every minute x x x

16:30 consider elastic loops to tuck your spools of thread into... Similar to the loops for your scissors. That way they'll stay in your kit and not roll away. I'll wager that it would also keep the thread from unwinding. 💖🌞🌵😷
12:17 How much quilting is enough? Depends on your batting or wadding. Most wadding says on the package the minimum distance between quilting (mine says 2-4 inches, but it really varies). Fun facts: Back in the 1800s the wadding was like roving (similar to a cotton ball) which needed a lot of quilting to keep the wadding from piling up. Some people used old blankets as wadding which probably needed less. Some even used newspaper, which probably only needed a tie here or there. 💖🌞🌵😷
So exciting to see your projects. I love the ceramic buttons and your kits are beautiful! You put such thought and effort into your ideas and it shows!
Your Cottage Bag with the Clam Shell roof is gorgeous. I do hope you put up a pattern. You're so creative. Thank you for all your hard work and shareing.
Hi Emma! I can't wait to look through all the links above. Back in October, 2023, you inspired me to try the quilt as you go hexi quilt. I am new to this and can't believe that I am now at the finish line with just a few more hexis to fill in. This method of sewing is everything you said it would be...calming and satisfying. I would like to share a few photos of what I have so far if you could please share the info on sending you photos. All of your videos are so appreciated. Wish I could come sit in your garden for cup of tea and a chat.
Hi Claudette, I am so glad you are making the hexie quilt and at the finish line! here is the link to share your photos, it might be a while before I make another video of viewers quilts but I will definitely share it when I do, thank you forms.gle/gBdzvQd3FiEwjpyM6
I love your patterns. So beautiful and you are so very talented. I am so excited for once you have the new house folder pattern ready. I fell in love with it and can not wait to see the accessories 💖 thank you for taking all the time, putting so much love and hard work into all you do and sharing with us.
Mercy Emma! Everything you make is So enchanting and beautiful!! I especially like all your sewing cases and will have to take a look at your website. I swear there's a touch of magic in your creative fingers. It's exciting that you're teaching classes and passing on your talent. Try to let go of the worry! Your skill and warm, encouraging personality take care of everything!
Oh thank you so much Mel! Such kind words. Yes I’m definitely a worrier, it’s just my nature, I’m not sure it will ever leave me but I will keep trying! Thanks so much for watching, take care, have a lovely week 🌸
Emma, I know what you mean - so many ideas and our fingers just cannot sew quickly enough! 😊I enjoyed your video today. It's always nice to catch up and see what you're doing. Have a wonderful day stitching. ❤💛💙
Emma, your ideas and your videos are so beautiful, I so enjoy them. Thank you for the recommendation for Elmhirst Fabrics, their fabrics are amazing, just what I was looking for. You have inspired me and am gathering things for the quilt as you go quilt. I've made one hexi so far whilst on holiday, and found it easy to do and so enjoyable I am now hooked on the idea. Thank you so much for all your hard work, it is so very much appreciated.
I think I found you when you first started to post your videos a few years ago. I do enjoy watching them and that you are getting so much from the people who send you fabrics to try. I love that you are doing tutorials for the quilting shows and also being invited to do workshops. Keep up all your lovely ideas for us to enjoy. I was worried that you might stop doing your channel when you were ill and didn't post anything for quite a few months but happily you recovered and came back to do more.
Thank you for following along for so long Christine. Yes, last year was a difficult one for me but so far things have improved a lot this year compared to then so I’ve been able to be more consistent. Thank you for watching, have a great week 😊🌸
I thoroughly enjoy your videos Emma, you're very talented. Both the sewing cases are gorgeous and so useful ,if like me, you like to take a sewing project out and about.
Hello Emma. Greetings from Melbourne Australia. I enjoy your videos very much. I love hexagons and enjoy making them when I am not quilting. Keep up the great work. Best wishes.
I love watching your tutorial videos but I like these 'catch up' videos as well! It's like getting to visit for a bit with a new friend! I didn't know about Liberty fabrics until I watched your channel and now I'm obsessed with it! LOL! Looking forward to your next video!
Hello Emma, I have only recently found you and UA-cam and enjoyed the ones I’ve seen to date. My name is Kaylee and I live in Queensland, Australia. I’m 64, married for 44 years, I have 2 daughters, 2 son in laws and 3 Grand children. I love my craft particularly embroidery and hand stitching, it is definitely my passion, I’ve been doing embroidery for near on 50 years. I also love Brazilian embroidery, Sashiko and Boro stitching. I have a sewing machine, over locker and an embroidery machine. I made my own clothes and mostly of my daughters clothes when they were young, mostly out of necessity as we didn’t have much money. I have just started following you on Instagram. Thank you for reading my story. Cheers from Australia, Kaylee
All those projects on the go and the ones you've finished, thank you for sharing your work, always great to see. I am intrigued about the lace zip, I have always avoided using zips, the lace one sounds so much easier to use, I feel this could solve my zip fear :) Penguin quilt will look super, lovely idea. I also love sewing boxes (your video was amazing) and just love the soft one you made. Thanks again.
Oh thank you Alison Mary! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. Yes the lace zip goes on the outside so it’s like doing it in reverse, and therefore the lace covers the fabric so if it’s not perfect or hides it. I will prob make a short video showing how it’s done. Thanks for watching 😊🌸
Thank you for the video Emma, so lovely to see what you have been up to and introducing me to Lay Family Yarns which is almost on my door step. I hope to see you at the Festival of Quilts, I'll be there on the Sunday.
Hi Carol, I’m so glad you live near Lay Family Yarns, you’ll love it if you visit! I hope to see you at festival of quilts. Have a lovely day and thanks for watching 🌸
I'm looking forward to your new patterns. This winter and spring have been slow for me to get things made. Last week I got new furniture and my daughter helped me get the living room into better shape, many boxes of stuff are moved out. Just a bit more to do. Already I'm feeling much better. I'm not having to use a broken worn out recliner. I'm having much less pain and sleeping better. What little I've been making is amigurumi and so crochet coasters. My EPP is calling to me. In my cleaning up I found a large box of 2.5 inch squares I had cut for a quilt I will not be making. I have put it aside for using in making hexies. I'm gaining strength and itching to stitch more. Thanks for this nice video. Enjoy your teaching this summer!
I just love to see what your up to! You're like a neighbor, (I wish); you could be a Wisconsin girl any day. I think it would be true to say, you have many kindred spirits.
Hi again, I wanted to share with you the cheap fabric that I found. I’ve bought baby swaddling blankets. They come in packs of 4, with tiny detail designs. 🇺🇸
You are so clever! I feel like I am watching the beginnings of a Future Famous Designer! Lori Holt started just like this! The House Project Folder is Just Amazing! Perfect for hexis, embroidery, cross-stitch on the go--the clam shell roof is so creative, As I watch, I am working on Lori Holt's "Bee Vintage" appliqué quilt. Good Luck @Quilt Market.
Hello Emma from United States South Carolina😊 I’ve been watching your videos for a bit now and am learning paper piecing and all the embroidery stitches to add to my quilts. I have just been loving your techniques and color pallets and everything. I am very interested in the 1/4” hexagon. I was so HAPPY to find the templates on your store website. I said all that to say this, ty from the bottom of my heart for the free hexi’s!!!!! You are such a blessing to me in these hard times. We are struggling here as I know that y’all are to for sure. Hopefully it will get better in both our countries soon❤ ty again and plz keep the videos coming. You have an amazing talent.
so lovely Emma, you certainly got me going on the Hexi's and putting them on the back of an old quilt to use as a throw on a chair in my craft room. Tfs xox from NZ x
Its an absolute joy to see your video pop up. So close to 30k😀. Probably be there before your next video Emma. Take care and stay safe, enjoy the school holidays with your son🤗
I love your work. You are doing great. I’ve let a lot of people know about Your UA-cam cite and Instagram. They will love your work & they way you explain & show how to do it.
Hi there from Torbay, North Shore, Auckland, New Zealand. I am a Newbie to your Channel, but loved the two clips I have seen. Your projects are so so cute ! Much love ❤️❤️
Hi Emma, you are so inspiring and I don't know how you manage to get everything done with looking after a family. I love buying kits as you say you get everything in it, I will definitely be having a look on your web site. Look forward to further videos. Take care and have a lovely time at festival of quilts.x
You are amazing Emma I've missed so much of you as I've been struggling with illness, I'm no better just about coming to terms with it . However I am now classed as disabled. I continue to have bad days which are the norm then chronic days when I cannt craft. Today I felt I needed to watch and listen to you. Plus I have ordered a few items from your shop. Looking forward to your patterns. I'm try to re learn crochet it's a Christmas gift for my husband its a duckling pilot. It's going very slowly with a lot of undoing. Any tips will be welcome.
Hi Julie, I am so very sorry you've been struggling with health issues. I really hope things improve quickly for you. It's a good idea to watch crafty videos on the days when you can't craft, then you can think of all the lovely things you will do on your good days. Thank you so much for buying some things from my shop, I hope you love your package. I am not a crochet expert but have you seen Le Petit Saint Crochet channel? She has super tips. Take care x
Love listening to you ❤ I always learn something useful . I bought some mini hexis , loving covering them with pretty🌸🌸🌸 fabrics. Now trying the same with large Hexagon cardboard shape. From the bottom of an Easter Egg carton 😊 Eventually will be sewn onto a double duvet cover.
Hello, Emma, from Southern California! I recently found your UA-cam channel and absolutely love all your EPP projects! I can't wait for the pattern for the Heirloom House Sewing Case. It is gorgeous!! I have been obsessed with Liberty fabrics for about eight years and was so lucky to be able to visit their store in London in 2018. Thank you for sharing your talents with us. I'm happily catching up on all your videos while inside during the heatwave here. 😊 (I must say that your website is very well done and beautiful as well. So easy to navigate.)
Thank you so much! This means so much to me! And thank you for the comment about my website, I designed and made the whole thing myself with no help so it really means a lot 🤗
I have made a sewing case about the same size with a detachable pin cushion which is secured with a medium sized snap fastener as I wanted to be able to take it out. It works well.
I love how you work with what you have to make what you enjoy. I have pieced together things to make do and I love it just the same. Beautiful work. I'm a new subscriber from Nebraska USA. Such cute little pieces you work up. I'm also new to the EPP world.
you should never worry Emma about your work as everything is always stunning and gives us all such inspiration

I love watching your tutorial videos but I like these 'catch up' videos as well! It's like getting to visit for a bit with a new friend! I didn't know about Liberty fabrics until I watched your channel and now I'm obsessed with it! LOL! Looking forward to your next video!
Thank you so much, I’m so happy you like this sort of video too. And I’m sorry about starting you off with a Liberty obsession! 🙈😊🌸
Beautiful variety of projects. Your choices of fabrics is lovey. Enjoyed your video !! 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
Hi Kaylee, how lovely to read all about you, thank you for sharing and thank you for following along. Happy stitching
Love that your ideas are workable. I feel I am now a creative sewer.💙 Terry C from northern CA.
Oh that is so lovely Terry, I’m so glad. Thank you for watching, have a great week 😊🌸
Thank you again Emma. If i would be close it would have been nice to attend your class 🥰
oh that would have been lovely Susan
I am so glad to hear things are moving in a positive direction for you Anne. Take good care of yourself and thank you for watching
I just love to see what your up to! You're like a neighbor, (I wish); you could be a Wisconsin girl any day. I think it would be true to say, you have many kindred spirits.
Oh thank you!🤗
Hi again, I wanted to share with you the cheap fabric that I found. I’ve bought baby swaddling blankets. They come in packs of 4, with tiny detail designs. 🇺🇸
Thanks for sharing!! Great idea!
Oh what a lovely thing to say! Thank you! That’s incredibly kind 🤗
Take care x
Always look forward to your videos!!!😊
Thank you so much Pamela x
I really enjoyed watching this video. You’ve inspired me to get back to my EPP hexies!
I hope you enjoy getting back into it. Thanks for watching
That sounds lovely!
(I must say that your website is very well done and beautiful as well.
Thank you so much for watching and subscribing! I really appreciate it
