Your son's penguin 🐧 quilt is amazing, it will be a much loved quilt. You have been busy, I have been sewing sets of small storage tubs for new baby gifts and after seeing your crochet tubs I will crochet some. I hadn't thought of embroidery on crochet but it looks great. Thanks for all your tried and tested tips about machine quilting and threads. One stitch at a time
Don't we all think more hours needed in a day to get all the wonderful projects finished we want to make? Thank you Emma for another lovely video. Your projects are absolutely gorgeous.❤ x

Hello Emma, The penguin quilt is absolutely stunning!! You did such a great job! You really have been busy! It must be difficult keeping up your creativity for your work projects, & still have some fun projects to work on for yourself. I love your little pouch! It’s so sweet - I must get it to stitch up!! I am still busy working my way through the cross stitch bird series that I had started before I got sick with Covid, & then a sinus infection. I wasn’t able to sew at all while I was sick. So I am trying to play catch up a little, & get some things done! I do hope that all is well with you, & I look forward to seeing what treats you will have next!
Hi Emma, so happy to another video if your projects and that you are doing well. I've decided that from now on I will make myself some coffee or tea before I sit down to see your video. It always feels like we are visiting. Lol! By the way, love all the projects youv'e made. The penguin quilt, the mini purse and absolutely love the basket with it's beatiful colors. Thank you Emma for taking the time to share these lovely things with us.
That penguin quilt has inspired me! I think it would be a lovely I spy quilt with the i spy square covering their tummies. Be nice to switch it up and make something more than just squares patched together.
Great to see you, Emma; from Northern California, @ 4000 ft, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains! Bit chilly here, too; feels sew much better than the excessive heat we've had this past summer! All 3 of my children's quilts were worn through, especially the double bindings, before they had their quilts 6 years...all repaired; all are in their 30's, now.
Loved seeing your recent & future projects & as far as I'm concerned, the longer the podcast the better. The penquin quilt is lovely (love the backing !) & your son's reaction is very sweet. Merci beaucoup for the quilting tips. I've been gleaning info on the topic as I've got many english paper piecing cushion tops & now a machine pieced quilt top but I've not yet got to the quilting phase as I find it very intimidating. Looking forward to seeing your progress on the Jane Austen inspired quilt &, when you get time to start, the Sense & Sensibility one. Kind wishes to you xxxxx
Oh thank you! That really means a lot to me. I know what you mean about quilting being intimidating. That’s why I tend to hand quilt things more often, I find that much easier. Maybe you could try that for one of the cushions, see how that goes? Thanks so so much for watching and for your supportive words 🌸
My grandmother used a half size of that first purse shape, with a mirror on the inside lid, as her make-up case, years ago. Amigurumi toys for babies are better made with cotton, less pilling and holds up to washing. If you start with 6 sts, you get a dome shape, 7 stays flat, 8 wrinkles a lot. Cotton yarn that has a harder texture, makes uneven stitches, no matter how good you are. The fabrics in your pretty book. Look like Lori Holt colours.
Enjoyed the catch up. I like Jane Austen and well spotted on the sale item. Enjoy making the quilt, should be interesting. I embroider but haven’t done any on crochet. Love the patchwork book. I do like sampler quilts for the same reason, they keep your interest going. Take care.
Emma have you seen a UA-cam channel of a lovely quilt shop where the quilts they make are “bound” with crochet edging. The quilts are made with lovely, soft florals, and the crocheted bindings are bobbles, and lovely edges. I’ll see if I can find her site and share. You might want to look at it. 💗
Hi Emma, I love to watch your videos and the fabric you use , you are truly talented, please never stop posting videos, and thank you you are so pleased to watch!
Hi Emma, Love the Crochet Bag NOW an Organizer, so cool you thought outside the original project that wasn't going to work for you. Love everything you have completed. You are an awesome inspiration. Sending Hugs to you xx
When placing your backing on the floor, tape the edges to the floor, pulling it a bit, with painters tape. Not too tight, you don't want to stretch it, but not too loose, you don't want puckers. My batting grabs fabric, instead of smoothing over it, so if there are big wrinkles at the beginning, I lift and position instead of smoothing and petting the batting into position. 💖🌞🌵😷
I did tape it to the floor, but I always find things shift when removing it, no matter if I use pins, spray baste or a combination of both! But the ironing worked a treat! So I’m glad about that. What batting do you use? I’d be curious to try it 🌸
@@emmajonesvintagesewingbox 🤫shhh! (I love a really puffy quilt, so I've always use the highest loft polyester wadding that I can find. 😱. Don't tell the wadding police 🤫.) So, ironing is out for me. I've always hand quilted on my lap (no hoop) so l don't get tucks and puckers because of the way it lays in my hands whilst stitching. I usually spray baste, then pin, then tie the quilt (removing the pins) and then I quilt at my leisure. I use the quilt and can wash it whilst l'm in the quilting stage. I would miss the quilt if it only came out whilst I'm working on it, so I use it. Actually, having it in my sight motivates me to work on it. 💖🌞🌵😷
Oh what a lovely way to work on it Suzi! I love that and it must bring you so much joy, I can just imagine it. Thank you for telling me, and I won’t tell the wadding police lol 😊🌸🤗
I don't do much hand sewing but love watching your videos. I have made several hand pieced hexi quilts. But have been piecing lots of other quilts. Just pieced 3 Christmas quilts. Started cutting out a quilt for a friend that is Southwest design. It will have their barn horse on the quilt. And a quick little table runner for fall. I love keeping busy! Loved your penguin quilt. I love making quilts for friends and family.
Fun fact: you called it double crochet, in the USA we call it single crochet. One thing about embroidery on this stitch is that it's a square stitch which makes it perfect for cross stitch embroidery patterns. 💖🌞🌵😷
Thank you so much for sharing your projects, I especially enjoyed learning about the Austen project and the other pattern books were so lovely. I hope you enjoy a cozy Autumn, stitching away. God bless you.
Your quilt is nice. I have a challenge with my king size quilt.I am still doing the hexagon quilt that became a challenge, I put it away for a while. Because it had become a challenge as I somehow got it a bit twisted . I think I will need to cut it in shape and then add to where it’s needed again, I learnt the hard hard way, , will make another in rows rather trying to build on small pieces and put them together. Your little bag is lovely I love the materials, wish I lived near you if you did classes I would learn so much. Thank you for sharing, and so lovely to see you again, been a follower for a long time. I think you are maybe my favourite sewing lady. X love your yarn and the colours again., you are so tellented.
Thank you so much for sharing your Adorable projects Emma ❤The penguin quilt for your son is Absolutely Adorable and his respons to it is so lovely too! 😍 I indeed Love to see what you have made, and the clasp box aswell as your other projects are Absolutely Lovely! Never apologize for making a long vlog , I enjoy it very much and get soo much inspiration from you.
Emma- what a wonderful chat and catchup👏👏👏 You have so much to offer us- genuine, honest, sweet, creative, inspiration, encouragement… I’m sure I could find more words that I’m grateful for.!!! Your makes are so beautiful, can anyone tell I enjoy your channel?!?!! 🤪 Seriously you are a wonderful person, that’s plain to see. Than You 🥰🙏🏻✝️❤️😀
Love your penguin quilt. Lucky son! I’m always so excited to see you again. I have made several of your precious patterns. But I give them to quilting friends! I need to keep some because I love them so much but I love my friends too😄😄😄
Emma, what a beautiful quilt and I love both the purse and the crochet bowl. I look forward to seeing your sense and sensibility quilt and all the other projects. Love listening to you.x
Hello Emma, I'm just watching your video, I couldn't believe it. I have bought the same three books as you. I'm hoping the crochet will help me in learning . I have the same sewing case with clasp as well. Lovely subjects far more entertaining than what's on the TV. Thank you xxxx
Hello Emma , always look forward to your videos . Fall is a bad season for me too , try to do my projects to keep my mine busy. This month I'm working on a pattern called X's and O's which I'm really enjoying . And I can now stitch while watching my hockey . Love the books and projects you have been working on , the penguins are adorable . Glad your son loves it . Take care and see you in 2 weeks.
I love the penguin quilt! So adorable 🥰 I recently bought the pride and prejudice quilt and am really looking forward to making it. I have been watching the 1994 BBC series and it has really gotten me in the mood to make my quilt. Excellent idea of listening to the audiobook while quilting your quilt!
I adore that charming quilt you made for your son. And I must say that you really have a busy schedule ahead for yourself. Take care of yourself, and thank you for sharing .
I enjoy your channel very much. The projects you showed are cute (penguins), beautiful (EPP holder/purse). Thanks for sharing your gentle demeanor and beautiful sewing/crafting/EPP skills!
What a good video, I should've turned off after your sons quilt because of all those lovely projects you made, now I want to crochet baskets. make notion purses with clasps, buy new fabric, I'm all over the place now 🤣I really enjoyed making your pattern for the house purse, first time I've followed a pattern and I loved it, made two, one in Liberty, the other in Rose and Hubble floral. I have also used the machine, first time in a long while and I have missed it. I am excited about what you done with the faux patchwork fabric, I bought some Rose and Hubble (I have a few pieces from them) and I couldn't use it as is so your idea about stitching in between is perfect. Book reviews, I love the books, I get all enthusiastic about a book then shelve it lol, that' going to change haha. Thank you so much for spurring me on to do stitchy stuff and never feel you must apologise Emma, long vids are great so are short, I just want you to be you and everything in your time 🌸 Edit .... I am working on covering a box, with liberty, EPP-ing, padded, Thank you so much.
Oh I’m sorry for sending you down new rabbit holes!!! Now you’ve got me looking up Rose and Hubble fabric! Which is beautiful! Thank you for buying my pattern, I’m so glad you enjoyed making it. Thank you so much for your support and supportive comments, it really helps me. Take care x
That embroidery on crochet book looks amazing and I’m definitely going to look at oh so sweet online. Thank you for sharing your projects and ideas. I really appreciate it and love your videos ❤
I use dental floss to baste start in the middle and work our all four sides. I use a hoop to hand quilt from the center out in circles. Use a long slender hoop for edges. Machine quilt out from the center to the north then south, earth and west then edges if needed. I have tried your way and I dislike the wrinkles. And can’t’ get to the flor any more.
Wow you have been busy!! It’s lovely to see you and I love the colour of your hair😊 I’m bi-polar so I struggle with dark night and mornings😔 I don’t no if this helps but when I’m layering the quilt up I use quilters pins over the front, there a cross between safety pins and nappy pins so they are long enough to go through all three layers,it stops it all moving when you pick it up. I do spray the 2 layers bottom, wadding then I put the pins in… I love the sewing box I must get a pattern that will be ideal to keep all my cross stitch bits in. I have made the purse before and keep saying I’m going to make another but you no what it’s like!! The little basket is so sweet also.
Thank you Jane, I have pins and not had luck in the past but will try again so thank you for the tips. Yes dark mornings are a struggle I know what you mean. Best to try to keep as busy as possible isn’t it. Take care and thank you for watching 🌸
Thanks for the catch up. I’m a huge Jane fan as well, but pride and prejudice is my outstanding favourite. Maybe then followed by persuasion which never used to be a favourite. I remember one of your videos that’s a couple of these old now. I think you also had some fabric from Jane Austen type line and I remember looking for that too but couldn’t find any because obviously it had been out of print probably by the time I saw the video you get me looking for all this fabric lol. Now I’m about to try and whip up some Halloween little projects. We don’t celebrate Halloween here in Australia. Not in my home anyway, but I thought a nice little table runner in my entry hall would be nice. I have a month by month little quilted mini quilt, which is Halloween themed so it should go well together. But I’ve also been thinking of some autumn related projects, especially maybe a mini runner with some pumpkins, but may I suggest some beautiful bunting of multicoloured autumn leaves so nice to string up whether it be across the window or an entry I certainly don’t have orange fabrics. I’m a purple person so I would have to go and source a couple of bits that suit the season. Also Jordan fabrics have a tutorial for a table runner that is a machine sewn with a little bit of machine appliqué . Table runner using grunge in autumn tones and it’s something on my to-do list. That may interest you as well. Anyway look forward to seeing you again and I have to do a bit more doing rather than talking. I’ve been a bit of a slump with sewing 🍂
I’m sorry you’ve been in a slump Tracy. You’ve shared so many good ideas here, thank you! Now I want to make everything you suggested! I don’t do Halloween really but my son is interested in it so might have to make some things for him. I’m sorry I get you hunting for fabric! They brought out two Jane Austen themed fabric ranges, the one I used in that video was called Pemberley by citrus mint designs I think. I have their newer one called Emma on bolts ready to make into kits, hopefully soon! Take care Tracy, I hope you get your sewing mojo back soon 🌸
Please never apologize for a longer video, the longer the better. Just love your videos Emma, you are truly a treasure. Love the penguin quilt too! I, too, have always struggled with the layering before quilting - and yes, it is very exhausting. As i have gotten in my late 60s, i have a woman who does it for me. I downsized and dont have the room, and i just cant seem to manage it anymore. Yours looks great. A wonderful job quilting too Emma. Very interesting about 80W thread too, would never have thought that!! That purse is lovely, absolutely lovely and the workmanship is fab! Well done. I didnt get the Barton Cottage kit and i regret it. You mentioned they are coming out with a Pride and Prejudice? If so, i will make sure and grab that one. Thanks for the heads up!
The penguin quilt is just wonderful for your son! I can see him snuggly under it, love that! Emma I love all your projects they inspire me a lot! ❤thankyou😊I decided to buy the book cause I love it!
Thank you Suzi. I did both actually, sprayed it on the backing and sprayed it on the batting for the top layer. The pressing afterwards worked so well 🌸
Hi Emma, thanks for your lovely video. You have such a nice calm manner. I'm just doing an EPP sofa quilt and a cross stitch picture for my daughter, which I started 20 years ago when she was 11. She's now 32!! I look forward to your videos, but I've not seen all of your last ones yet. Thank you.😊
A beautiful quilt Emma! I have started doing Quilt As You Go which I find much easier. It also incorporates machine and hand sewing! Love your videos. thank you 😎
Emma, I was so glad to see you and what you've been sewing. Those are beautiful. You make some beautiful items. Love all of them. I was trying to machine quilt a quilt today and had to put it up for my 3 yr old grandson was very needy today. I'm trying to quilt some quilts for my sewing group to donate. We all do volunteer work and I'm the only one that will quilt. Hope you have an awesome evening. ❤
Beautiful projects, Emma. I have both of those books on my wish list. Hopefully, Santa will bring me them! I am busy with Christmas making at the moment, I have just finished 2 knitted gnomes for gifts, and I am almost finished making a Christmas table runner. I really do want to get back to my quilt as you go quilt, though. Hopefully, I will have that finished next year 🤞
You should take a tiny square scrap of each Jane Austin fabric and applique them to a backing and embroider each name under the square. Make a tiny wall hanging or pillow. Look at me, giving you a project idea instead of you giving me one!!!
Hello Emma, the Penguin quilt is so adorable 💖🥰 All of your work is just perfect. Best wishes to you and yours. Bty..I, too, have purchased the Sense and Sensibility kit for a project for next year. I love the house block and all of the fabrics in the line.
The penguin quilt is gorgeous, and the backing fabric, sooooo cuuuuute. Always love a good book filled with amazing projects. Loved the sewing box and the way you personalised the little purse nice touch. Loved all the video particularly the Barton Cottage kit. Look forward to the next video. Thankyou again for your beautiful work 👋😀🐧🐧🌷🌼
That penguin quilt is so CUTE! It was so nice to listen and half watch you ( i looked for the important bits!) While I got the table I've been making my porcelain pindishes (you bought one of my magnetics at FOQ and shared it on your video, thankyou for that!) on cleared off, wiped down and ready for me to start applyimg the onglaze decals. I'll be putting another video on once I'm ready to start wiping everything down with white spirit and then applying. I have Ally Pally this week, show number 7 of a block of shows over 10 weeks. I have not had time to make ANYTHING for fun, except for 6 pumpkin yarnbowls that I'm taking to the show. They were fun to make, but still they are stock. Next week, I have some UFOs to finish, sewing ones! I'm so excited! I have a book by a Japanese clothing designer and ive been playing with her designs, adjusting them for my non-Japanese build. Theyve been fun to make. My aim is to have a me made slow fashion wardrobe. Exhibiting at the K&S shows and FOQ has been brilliant for collecting the fabrics for this. Lots of linen, viscose, cotton, cupro...... I'm hoping Rosenbergs and Rainbow Fabrics will have some lovely woollen fabrics in my taste - subvertive, slightly gothy, weird and sci-fi. And i need to make a waterproof cover with ties, for my new memory foam cushion for my throwing stool.
Thank you so much for watching! I love your pin dish and use it every day! Good luck with all the shows. And I hope you get some time to work on your projects, they sound very lovely
Oh, what a gorgeous penguin quilt, and what an adorable reaction from your son! ❤ Yes, very important to have things on the go just for fun. I remember one of the very first, if not the very first, of your videos I saw was one where you expressed how stitching helped your mental health and how it helped you to be calm. Never lose that, dear Emma. I hope to make your larger house pouch /holder when it comes out, but I will wait for as long as it takes for the pattern making process to complete. So look after yourself, Emma. I'm sure I'm not the only one who drooled at your Jane Austen quilt box😂 And that Embroidered Crochet book - I have just bought that book!!! I want to make the mushroom bunting first, or maybe the triangular woodland creatures one😂 Love your crocheted basket - and recognised the embroidery from the book - looks even nicer in real life - you've done it beautifully. So thanks for another lovely chatty catch-up. Lots of love xo
So glad you enjoyed seeing everything in the video, and I’m glad you have the book, isn’t it lovely! Yes you are right that sewing helps my mental health, I must always remember how important that is. Thanks so much for watching 🌸
You make very sweet projects!🩷 Good that you mentioned about fitting in fun projects along with your ' work' projects though if you have fun with them so will others. Ill be interested to see how you ' Emma Jones style ' your Sense & Sensibility quilt 😀! Swapping out fabrics or shapes adding embroidery to the house! Im stitching on my fabric postcards and doing a bit of fall papercrafting 🎃🧡🖤🍂🍁
I stumbled across those cute little penguins over the weekend when I was looking for a different pattern...your quilt turned out perfectly!! I have the last book you showed, but haven't made anything from it yet.
All your projects are so wonderful and inspiring! Everything is beautiful! especially like the little purses and the larger version. I have been knitting pumpkins for my daughter and my grand daughters play with them all the time. I also started practicing spinning with a drop spindle, lots to learn but it's fun. I want to make so many things! I like your comment on the sampler quilt, about there being variety, so now something like that is on my list also. Thank you for sharing your magic!
Sounds like you’ve been keeping busy Mel, drop spindle spinning has been in my bucket list for years so now you’ve reminded me of it I want to give it a go! Take care and thanks for watching 🌸
Absolutely loved your astonishing, lovely penguin quilt! You are an inspiration. Thank you for sharing all the little details and tips for finishing it. Loved the variety of finished crafts you shared today. Be especially kind to yourself during the changing seasons (I heard you, I understand).❤
Fun to catch up with you! So impressed with your many talents! Penguin quilt is adorable! I favor less rather than more quilting myself. Take care and see you in your next video!
Yes I’m in the less quilting camp too. I like more in show quilts that go on walls but for a snuggle quilt I think less works well. Thanks for watching 🌸
Love the penguin quilt Emma and great to have a catch up with all your beautiful projects!🥰Here is unseasonably warm, up to 17 degrees some days. It’s been better weather in September than July/August, but I’m looking forward to lighting the fire & working on some projects when the weather isn’t so good😊
I’ve been waiting for you to post another video. Thank you🎉
Thank you! I post every two weeks on a Monday 7pm U.K. time 🌸
pumpkins are now being made in shades of white too with a darker background it would look fabulous.
Great idea! Thank you!
Your son's penguin 🐧 quilt is amazing, it will be a much loved quilt. Thank you Anne! Sounds like you are busy too! Lovely to make gifts for babies. Take care
Another lovely catch up Emma - I love your sons new quilt and how precious he wants to gift it to his baby one day 🥰🥹
yes, it melted my heart when he said that!
Don't we all think more hours needed in a day to get all the wonderful projects finished we want to make? Thank you Emma for another lovely video. Your projects are absolutely gorgeous.❤ x

I love your channel. It’s a little peaceful space in an unpeaceful world.
Thank you so much!
Love the little clutch bags. Your penguin quilt is adorable. Glad it will be a family heirloom. Great video.
thanks for watching

Uuuuh, I think this phone is changing the spelling of my text. I think everyone who reds it will get the jist of it.
Oh I love that you make a cuppa for a proper catch up! That’s so nice! Thank you so much for catching up with me Marta 🌸
Such a gracious hostess. Thanks for sharing your projects and experiences with all of us
Thanks for watching!
Like it tie my quilts. Goes back to my love of handwork and how things were done by grandmother
You can put whatever you want on your quilts Emma that’s what makes them unique and they are really pretty 😍

Don’t mind at all! I’ve been thinking about it, but nothing decided yet. If I do it will probably be something small
A lovely catch up Emma and some beautiful finishes and projects. Not surprised your son loved his penguin quilt , they are sooooo cute😍
Thank you so much!

Ohhhh yes, I would love to know of this option too! ❤️😀
I put a project aside for awhile, but I’m ready to start back at it. It’s a log cabin quilt. 🙂
I love log cabin quilts! Have fun making it 🌸
I’m a newbie…two days ago! I love the things you make
Thank you! Really appreciate you coming back 🌸
Your embroidery is always so wonderful 👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much 😊
23:24 will you do a short and show us how you did those flowers? 💖🌞🌵😷
Yes I will, thank you for the suggestion Suzi 😊
Hi Emma, I love to watch your videos and the fabric you use , you are truly talented, please never stop posting videos, and thank you you are so pleased to watch!
Oh thank you! That honestly means so much. I will keep going!🌸
I love your suggestion about pressing the quilt once layered. I also hate that process…difficult for me as well. !
It worked like a dream!
Hi Emma, Love the Crochet Bag NOW an Organizer, so cool you thought outside the original project that wasn't going to work for you. Love everything you have completed.
You are an awesome inspiration. Sending Hugs to you xx
Aww thank you! You are so kind, take care 🌸
Such lovely projects. Love the penguins and Jane Austen quilts, the basket and the books. Thank you once again. Lots of lovely ideas x

Thank you for watching Shelly 🌸
Fun fact: you called it double crochet, in the USA we call it single crochet. One thing about embroidery on this stitch is that it's a square stitch which makes it perfect for cross stitch embroidery patterns. 💖🌞🌵😷
Oh yes or would, great idea for my next one, thank you Suzi 🌸
Thank you so much for sharing your projects, I especially enjoyed learning about the Austen project and the other pattern books were so lovely. I hope you enjoy a cozy Autumn, stitching away. God bless you.
Thank you! I hope you have a cosy autumn too 🍂
Thank you very much@@emmajonesvintagesewingbox
Lovely to visit with you today, Emma. It’s always a great day when your video pops up. Blessings to you, Ruth
Thank you Ruth, what a lovely thing to say 🌸
Oh thank you! Such kind words Karen, I appreciate you being a follower for a long time, means a lot 🌸
@@emmajonesvintagesewingbox most welcome thank you.

I always use DecoBob in my bobbins…never thought about using it on the top….hummmm, interesting idea. 👍
Worked for me, gave lovely results 🌸
Emma- what a wonderful chat and catchup👏👏👏
You have so much to offer us- genuine, honest, sweet, creative, inspiration, encouragement… I’m sure I could find more words that I’m grateful for.!!!
Your makes are so beautiful, can anyone tell I enjoy your channel?!?!! 🤪
Seriously you are a wonderful person, that’s plain to see. Than You 🥰🙏🏻✝️❤️😀
Oh thank you Rachel! That is so so kind of you and means a lot to me 🤗🌸
You are so welcome❤️😀
Love your penguin quilt. Lucky son! I’m always so excited to see you again. I have made several of your precious patterns. But I give them to quilting friends! I need to keep some because I love them so much but I love my friends too😄😄😄
Ahh thank you! Means a lot that you’ve made my patterns 🌸
Emma, what a beautiful quilt and I love both the purse and the crochet bowl. I look forward to seeing your sense and sensibility quilt and all the other projects. Love listening to you.x
Thank you so much Irene!x
Hello Emma, I'm just watching your video, I couldn't believe it. I have bought the same three books as you. I'm hoping the crochet will help me in learning . I have the same sewing case with clasp as well. Lovely subjects far more entertaining than what's on the TV. Thank you xxxx
Great minds Julie! We must have the exact same taste! Have fun working through them, totally agree about tv, I hardly watch it anymore x
Thank you Susan, it can be a difficult time can’t it, glad you are keeping busy, it sounds like a lovely project. Take care and see you again soon
The penguin quilt is so cute...so cuddly...looks like each little penguin is covered with his own little blankie ❤
Thank you Nancy! Yes I can see that now, it does!
I love your videos! Thank you for the “catch up”.
Glad you like them! Thank you for catching up with me 😊🌸
I love the penguin quilt! So adorable 🥰 I recently bought the pride and prejudice quilt and am really looking forward to making it. I have been watching the 1994 BBC series and it has really gotten me in the mood to make my quilt. Excellent idea of listening to the audiobook while quilting your quilt!
I love that series, it really is the best!
Lovely to catch up with you again Emma. Your penguin quilt and other makes are so cute. Take care xx
Thank you Jacqueline, I appreciate you coming along for a catch up. Take care x
Love the penguin quilt! And yes, I do the same pressing technique when machine quilting. Works every time.
It’s a game changer isn’t it!
Thank you for that tip about pressing the gang together😝. I’m thinking it could be of great help!! ❤️😀
I adore that charming quilt you made for your son. And I must say that you really have a busy schedule ahead for yourself. Take care of yourself, and thank you for sharing .
Thank you so much! Take care 🌸
I enjoy your channel very much. The projects you showed are cute (penguins), beautiful (EPP holder/purse). Thanks for sharing your gentle demeanor and beautiful sewing/crafting/EPP skills!
Oh that’s so lovely of you, thank you 🤗
What a good video, I should've turned off after your sons quilt because of all those lovely projects you made, now I want to crochet baskets. make notion purses with clasps, buy new fabric, I'm all over the place now 🤣I really enjoyed making your pattern for the house purse, first time I've followed a pattern and I loved it, made two, one in Liberty, the other in Rose and Hubble floral. Thank you so much for spurring me on to do stitchy stuff and never feel you must apologise Emma, long vids are great so are short, I just want you to be you and everything in your time 🌸
Edit ....
Take care x
Omg Emma, I just spent nearly $200 at the Green Fairy. So many good deals even with the conversion from USD to Aussie $s.
I love your quilt. The penguins are adorable.
Thank you!
I love your penguin quilt, thank you for the tips…. 😊I feel the same as you.
You’re very talented. Love all the things you create.
That’s so kind, thank you
That embroidery on crochet book looks amazing and I’m definitely going to look at oh so sweet online. Thank you for sharing your projects and ideas. I really appreciate it and love your videos ❤
thank you!
Oh my your penguin quilt is adorable. I have the pattern to make too. Thanks for sharing
Thank you! 😊
Sounds like a very interesting technique, thank you for sharing
Wow you have been busy!!
It’s lovely to see you and I love the colour of your hair😊
I’m bi-polar so I struggle with dark night and mornings😔
I don’t no if this helps but when I’m layering the quilt up
I use quilters pins over the front, there a cross between safety pins and nappy pins so they are long enough to go through all three layers,it stops it all moving when you pick it up.
I do spray the 2 layers bottom, wadding then I put the pins in…
I love the sewing box I must get a pattern that will be ideal to keep all my cross stitch bits in.
Thank you so much for such lovely words Kathryn, so glad you liked the video. I hope you do get a pride and prejudice one 🤞🏻 take care 🌸
Lovely stuff Emma 💖🇦🇺💖
Thank you!
Oh Emma! That is absolutely adorable!! Your projects are always so lovely. I hope your little boy loves it.
Thank you so much Kathy! He really loves it x
The penguin quilt is just wonderful for your son! I can see him snuggly under it, love that! Emma I love all your projects they inspire me a lot! ❤thankyou😊I decided to buy the book cause I love it!
Thank you Karen, so glad you enjoyed the video, enjoy the book!😊🌸
When using spray baste, I have found that it sticks better if I spray the fabric instead of the batting. 💖🌞🌵😷
Thank you.😊
Thank you for watching Sue 🌸
🎉 hello Emma!
From Hamburg Pennsylvania. It’s is a warm day here.
Your penguin quilt is so cute!!
Thank you! So glad you liked it 🍂
Wow - you have been so productive. I loved ve hearing & seeing all you've done❤️. I loved your longish video🌺
thank you Jacqueline, I am so glad you enjoyed it
A beautiful quilt Emma! I have started doing Quilt As You Go which I find much easier. It also incorporates machine and hand sewing! Love your videos. thank you 😎
Oh that’s lovely Deborah, I live QAYG too, it’s very fun to do, take care 🌸
Oh my goodness that embroidery book! Your crochet bowl came out super beautifully. You have such a wonderful group of projects finished and upcoming.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful projects !!! That Penguin quilt is so sweet. Always enjoy your videos 😊
Aww thank you! That means a lot
Love watching your videos - can’t wait for the big house pattern ❤
Thank you! 😊 hopefully soon
Thank you so much for watching Vivian, so lovely that you quilt for charity, bringing joy and comfort to people is very special 🌸
Hopefully, I will have that finished next year 🤞
You’ll have to show me your gnomes in the next zoom Julie, I would love to see them, they sound adorable! 🌸
I wanted to do the Jane Austen coverlet too! Really excited to watch you piece it
Lovely job I made this quilt for my granddaughter it is so cute
Thank you! 😊
thank you for another wonderful video I loved all the sharing and great job on all your projects and your quilt is wonderful
Thank you so much!
You should take a tiny square scrap of each Jane Austin fabric and applique them to a backing and embroider each name under the square. Make a tiny wall hanging or pillow. Look at me, giving you a project idea instead of you giving me one!!!
Great idea! I think I will do that!
@@emmajonesvintagesewingbox Haha it will be so cute!! My actual name is Gloria BTW, I am not a poodle.
Awesome idea!!! ❤️😀
Thank youfor inspiration ond info
My pleasure!
Hello Emma, the Penguin quilt is so adorable 💖🥰 All of your work is just perfect. Best wishes to you and yours.
Bty..I, too, have purchased the Sense and Sensibility kit for a project for next year.
I love the house block and all of the fabrics in the line.
Thank you Carol. Lovely that you will make it too 🌸
The penguin quilt is gorgeous, and the backing fabric, sooooo cuuuuute. Always love a good book filled with amazing projects. Loved the sewing box and the way you personalised the little purse nice touch. Loved all the video particularly the Barton Cottage kit. Look forward to the next video. Thankyou again for your beautiful work 👋😀🐧🐧🌷🌼
Thank you so much!
I'm sure I'm not the only one who drooled at your Jane Austen quilt box😂
And that Embroidered Crochet book - I have just bought that book!!! I want to make the mushroom bunting first, or maybe the triangular woodland creatures one😂
Love your crocheted basket - and recognised the embroidery from the book - looks even nicer in real life - you've done it beautifully.
This quilt is so cute 😊
You make very sweet projects!🩷 Good that you mentioned about fitting in fun projects along with your ' work' projects though if you have fun with them so will others. Ill be interested to see how you ' Emma Jones style ' your Sense & Sensibility quilt 😀! Swapping out fabrics or shapes adding embroidery to the house! Im stitching on my fabric postcards and doing a bit of fall papercrafting 🎃🧡🖤🍂🍁
I sure I will embellish it somehow! Fabric postcards sound wonderful, have fun!
Thanks!
Thank you so much! That is very kind of you 🤗
Thanks for the catch up Emma great as always take care 😊
Thank you so so much for catching up with me Lynn 🌸
I stumbled across those cute little penguins over the weekend when I was looking for a different pattern...your quilt turned out perfectly!!
I have the last book you showed, but haven't made anything from it yet.
Thank you! Hope you love the book when you get a chance to use it 🌸
@@emmajonesvintagesewingbox you too! There's so many great blocks and projects to make! The pears are so cute!
What a great video Emma loved everything you showed us love the books I’m making Mittens And. A hat also some granny squares
Oh how lovely Iris! Thanks for watching
So many beautiful projects. I Love the soft colours of the yarn. The penguin kilt is so good! I am glad you sew for fun too.
Thank you! 😊 it’s definitely important to always make things for fun too
Absolutely loved your astonishing, lovely penguin quilt! You are an inspiration. Thank you for sharing all the little details and tips for finishing it. Loved the variety of finished crafts you shared today. Be especially kind to yourself during the changing seasons (I heard you, I understand).❤
Aww thank you! I appreciate that sentiment. You take care too 🤗🌸
I have the Lovely little patchwork book but haven't done anything yet. Hopefully this will inspire me!
Hope you enjoy it!
I love your videos like this . what you are making and want to make. This helps keep me going also . You are a very talented young lady .
Oh thank you Barbara, I’m so glad you enjoy the chatty videos. Take care 🌸
I also bought that book! I want to make a series of pillows for my mama. I so enjoy your videos!
Thank you so so much!
Loved your video and the little penguin quilt. I just completed a small Christmas quilt and also stitching a snippet roll which I really enjoyed.
Thank you for watching, your projects sound charming
Love watching your videos and the things that you make. Penguin quilt is so adorable.
Thank you so much!
Love the penguin quilt Emma and great to have a catch up with all your beautiful projects!🥰Here is unseasonably warm, up to 17 degrees some days. It’s been better weather in September than July/August, but I’m looking forward to lighting the fire & working on some projects when the weather isn’t so good😊
Thank you so much for watching Elaine, I hope it gets cosy soon!🌸
