Heres some how to on what made my experiences with ON3 successful. By popular demand heres some of it. These tips and tricks are vital when installing one of these kits on your fox body mustang for success. This specifically is an on3 turbo kit for a fox body mustang 87-93. Enjoy!

Best header gaskets to use are cosmetic MLS with a spray coat of copper. There is a reason all manufacturers use MLS exhaust gaskets on all there turbo cars with zero leaks for the life of the vehicle.

Just subscribed for all the 5.0 turbo info really thinking about a foxbody, I have a 5.4 2v swapped new edge I love it but looking at the pushrod 5.0..... fuck it looks easy, turbo easy. Camshaft, heads, intake, good tune 400-500 budget easy maintenance love it. Love everything about it. Turbo for life ❤

Nice video I have a similar setup and have done most of the things you talked about besides reweld the headers fml they will probably crack soon. I might do a video of mine and show some of the upgrades I have so people get a better idea of options.
They will crack soon. And if they aren't straight they will leak.
@@Neomustangs I just got milky coolant in the oil and I'm using felpro 9333 pt1 head gaskets and 1250 s3 intake gaskets not sure whay happened probably lifted the heads and I got head studs. Gonna pull motor tmw and figure out what's going on with it
My first thing I do for the last 2-3 engines I have built. Always had the heads and motor decked to flat. Seems you do that, run the 9333s and copper spray. Install heads studs correctly I haven’t had any issues with lifting up to 15

You talked about protecting the plugs. Have you heard of livewires? There 10mm braided. Good up to 1400 degrees! I just recently installed a set on mine and love them! The dang boots are heat shrink, numbered and cut to length. The company is out of Tennessee.

I'm having belt length trouble. Mines like 64" but needs to be a bit longer but then the alternator hits the turbo. Would a 3g fix this issue? Wasnt sure if there smaller or not.

Can you do a video on the oiling system for the turbo. I have a twin turbo kit online and every time I start it when it's cold I get down train noise. There's not a lot of information out there.
You mean like the oil feed itself? And drain?

Neomustangs what size turbo are you running on your 351w and what is the biggest turbo you can put on the on3 turbo kit.
Im running a 76/75 precision.
dumb question - what engine computer are you using.. stock ? or which aftermarket computer and how did you tune?
He uses the Moates Quarterhorse. It has since been discontinued.

I do not. I mean I would but On3 doesn’t sell just headers. They sell whole kits for most part. With exceptjon

New to the whole foxbody thing and I have a question that hopefully isn’t too stupid. Could I bolt this kit onto a full stock foxbody?
Yes I just did it on project hotwheels lol. Made 471/500 wheel power on 14.5 pounds of boost. Course I would suggest following that lead without doing all the reinforcments and supporting mods to
I know you've been around both. Do you know much about the A9 and DA1 ECU differences? I cracked open my DA1, to check compacitors. I only find 2 compacitors in a DA1...all I see on A9's there are 3. Can you help me? Are there only 2 in a Speed Density ECU?
Da1 is a Speed density ECU. The A9 series are all mass air. Pretty much two different animals for the most part.
@@Neomustangs thanks for replying....I guess what I was asking is, do you know, if a DA1 ECU on has only 2 Compacitors in it (small green cylinders)? Do you have one in the inventory you could peek at (or have), compared to the A9 (that has 3 from all I've seen). Thanks again for your response/help.

Hey Neo, I'm assuming the same applies for a supercharged car, regarding feeding the car.
I've got 60cc injectors, 340L pump e.t.c, but don't have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. What do you recommend?
Ya it would apply pretty much any boosted application. NOS uses fuel on wet shot so a big injector isn't needed.

Might need a little more clarity on the On3 crossover flang u discuss in your video no complaints just understanding
What did you want to clear up!?
The bottom crossover where you said a small piece from where the blow off valve pipe or waste gate had to be cut and another bigger pipe needed to be welded for better flow is that what you were explaining just want to make sure cuz I want to follow your direction to the t.
On stock style setup with 42# injectors what throttle body and computer mod do you recommend
What changes if I wanted to run a blow thru carb instead of the factory EFI setup?
The carb. Make sure boost sensitive power valve

I'm buying a on3 turbo kit this summer for my 306 Foxbody. I have edlerbrock performer rpm heads with 202 valves, trickflow intake, F303 cam, 75mm Throttle body.
I've been told that I need to get a stand along like the Terminator X? They told me to get the Terminator X more then any other because if I got a chip for the stock ECU that it would cost as much as the Terminator X?
What do you think about this? This will be my 1st turbo car. I've never messed with a turbo or rode in a turbo car for that matter. Aka aftermarket I'm sure I've been in stock non performance car.

Factory part number Motorcraft plugs gapped from .024 -.028.
What spark plug wire set did you run.
Taylor high heat set.
For the boost controller bro can I use the on3 one?
It is usually not recommended to use the one in the kit. The one mentioned in this video or Turbosmart Boost Tee is a nice choice.
Will a t5 work with this setup?
Go look up project hotwheels. It has before.

Yes, that is what was suggested from On3 to me when I stopped in to their place of operation in Ohio and purchased my kit.
