Fairy Folio: The Grogoch

Here is the second fairy featured in the Fairy Folio; the sad story of the hard-working Grogoch. This version shows how I was planning to "uprez" and enhance the original standard-definition video with fresh visual effects. While the animation of the original has it's awkward charm, I see the roughness and have always wanted the chance to go back and fix it Lucas-style. Who knows, maybe I should just stop tinkering :P

I recorded this all on VHS when it aired. I watched it repeatedly, and the style of animation left a profound impression on me. When I sketched out my idea for a videogame, my mind immediately went to this and I dreamed of a videogame with this movement style. (It still only exists in a notebook, alas.)
