    Yes, trapezius muscles. They are looking so good, girl. Congrats on your 6 month locaversary! Love the rosewater and vitamin E daily, too! Nice video with good points for the early days of locking.

    They're looking great!! Month 6 already?! You're really going to start to love them even more within the next couple of months. I use scarfs and tie the front in a cute rose or rope style to hide my edges if I'm going somewhere and don't want the "roughness" hanging out. Continue to enjoy your journey :)

    We started our locs around the same time and have the same hair texture. So it's nice to see our hair progress exactly the way! The thing I've had lay down my curly edges is the CURLS passion fruit curl control paste, I know you said you don't want to use a paste but it works wonders. I usually gently wash it out at night while I do my night time skin care routine. Just a thought! Happy 6 month loc

    Omg! Your hair is beautiful! My daughter began her lock journey with low back length curly natural hair 6 months ago and her shrunk up so short that she could barely make a pony trail.😧😧when she pulled it up it just stood there very short on top of her head and the back couldn't reach up, I had to pin it up. We were shocked! But, now she is beginning to see a little length come back. So, yes, the shrinkage is REAL!!! But, I must say, she really loves her hair as well.😌

    same here dont wash my hair that often since i use only 2 oils in my locs..once a month is good for me . Twist my locs every two months..

    I use hicks edges on my edges and I can say that stuff is life. It really works. It's a bit pricey like $15 but it lasts for years( if you're using it for your edges only). Your hair is beautiful I'm celebrating my 6 month locaversary today March 20

    Congratulations on your 6-month mark! I'm one year in myself and my locs are pretty similar to yours. I started off with loose natural hair that was about mid back length. I did coils and lost so much length from shrinkage. It's been an adjustment, but I'm finally loving my hair. How do you deal with tangling at the roots? I get a lot of tangles, and I don't know how to separate them gently.

    • @ElizabethRosette
      @ElizabethRosette  7 років тому +1

      Nicole da Cruz honestly I don't get a lot of merging anymore because i dont let the roots dry before separation or retwisting. I notice that when you let your hair almost completely dry before manipulation is when you find your roots have merge a lot! It's best for me to s separate my roots or retwist when wet because the roots don't have much time to combine. I hope that make sense and when I do get a Little merging I'm not gentle... I make sure I'm popping them and not pulling the strands.

    your locs are coming along nice.... the product I use and love to lay my edges only, not on my locs is joie naturals myGel. I originally ordered it because I read reviews that it's good for retwist. after I tried it I didn't like it for my loc it's a bit sticky, but I love it for my edges. it's a little pricey though. I ordered mine from amazon.

    I’ve reached my 7th month in my loc process! My hair shrunk a lot as well. I was used to it though because that’s what my hair did as a loose natural. Super excited though because I have length and less shrinkage. I was every 2 weeks and interlock touchups every 2-3 months.

    Hi, I just started my locs THIS WEEK. My natural hair is very long and curly/wavy. But when it dries, its a short bushy ball. My starter locs (comb coils) are long when stretched out, but very short otherwise. I'm wondering, how long was your hair when you started your locs and did the length of your hair translate over into the length of your locs... or did you lose inches when they started locking? Also, your locs gave me life. lol

    Hey I just started locs. I dont like using alot of products either. Can you recommend a good shampoo? Or do locs need a special shampoo? I was using Trader Joe's shampoo before. I have rosewater/glycerin spray and oil mix for scalp. And should a conditioner be used? I have trader Joe's conditioner.

    mine shrank too in the first couple months cuz they are just twists and they locs arent so dense. then they start maturing getting a denser and heavier so they hang.

    lol @ "what are these called?" Mommy brain is a little too real. I have a little one and I feel like i'm suffering from mild retardation. Sorry for all these random comments. I feel like we're friends in my head. I promise i'm not a creep, lol. #creeplife Anyway. I've experience the same issue with shrinkage. I can't wait to get my hang time back. You're makeup looks awesome by the way :). For your edges, I've used Design Essential's Natural edge control and a teeny tiny bit of Gorilla Snot over the Design Essentials for extra slayage. But I only use it on my edges and not in my parts or on my locs. It does a really good job without the build up. Hicks also has a really good edge control too.
