Boracay was actually Conde Nast Readers Choice Best Island in Asia for 2022! (It was Siargao in 2021). And Boracay was also included in TIME Magazine's 'World's Greatest Places of 2022'! ᵔᴗᵔ
Sly, try to visit Batanes, the northernmost island of the Philippines. That island is magical. They don't have a jail in that island so you know how nice the residents are in that island.
restaurants beside the beach are more costly, there are cheaper options on the road side near mcdonald and jollibee, you can have a decent meal for just 100+ pesos
To be frank, OVERPRICED!!! Considering this is not the west, it is Southeast Asia where foods should be cheaper than in the states and Canada but wow! It os the same price. Again, OVERPRICED!!!!!!!
@@apinezstats2237 Yes I heard they did a great job. I should put up some old footage but the cameras back then were only 2 mgpxls so the video I have is real grainy lol
Bro that’s where I got stuck in 2020 during you know what, until they got us a flight out of there. A lot of the times I was the only person in the water and beach it was wild. Hope all is good
Nice video. My asawa and I have enjoyed both our times together in Boracay but especially this past November, 2022 when we were together for the Thanksgiving holiday. One of my absolute favorite places to go and even with me having went there 6 times already I look forward to the next time we come back there
We are visiting Boracay every year but we never eat at those tourist trap beach front restos! But still, we find Boracay restos cheaper than Manila/BGC/Makati restaurants that's the main reason why we stayed longer in Boracay than Manila.
I live in the Philippines in Angeles City and Boracay is way too expensive...I still plan to go for the first time probably this year though just to say I have gone before.
In 2013 when I went there I got a private boat for just me and my girlfriend for 4 hours island hopping and it was like 20 bucks. My have times changed..
The prices you see in the beach area are definitely a bit more expensive considering its peak season (Feb-May). If you want cheaper prices when you go to Boracay, the best time to go is Oct-Nov. They'll normally have 40-50% off on board and lodging. Even full body massages (1 hr) go down from P1000 to P500 pesos.
@Mockabv yes, it's actually perfect. I went to Boracay just last November (2022), and the water was still warm, and I think we had 1 day where it drizzled. I stayed for 7 days and 6 nights in station 1, and it was awesome! I got great rates. Another saving tip when eating. Look for Andok's (there's 1 in station 1, 2, and 3) if you want lechon (grilled) manok (chicken) Filipino style and their grilled pork belly for super cheap food. They also sell the cheapest 1.5 liter soda in the whole island. Lol! I buy it, bring it home to my room and chow down cheaply. I got free brunch from the resort, so I only paid for food during dinner. You should also try the choriburger (chorizo in a bun) that they sell all over the place (sellers with carts selling this). Super cheap on the go food that's good and local. There are some good places/cafes along the beach (station 2) for some decently priced food, if you just want to chill out and relax.
@@Mockabv check out "Seawind Boracay". It's a resort in station 1 with my favorite bar that sells the best fruit shakes. Get the mango/banana/pineapple fruit shakes for $4 usd, it's even better than "Jonah's" that's popular on the island. This same bar also has happy hour where they sell a bucket of beer (6 beers) for $7 usd.
My filipina fiancée & and went there back in 2014. She was from Ilocos Sur. A lot of what you show wasn't there back then. Loved the night life and outstanding silky sand and sunsets. I miss the PI a lot. We were supposed to go back this year. But unfortunately I lost her Nov 2021 she died from covid complicated by the use of remdesivir. Love to go back and remember our time together there and with family. You video brings back many fond memories with her.Great Video brother!!!!!!
@bluesuit5 Sorry for your loss. Try to visit Philippines again and drop by at Boracay. I was there this week. I've been there 5x, it's still a good place to de stress.
99% of the US is strip malls and rural hell where the only store is a dollar general, Walmart or dollar tree and the food in restaurants is all from Sysco. Yuck
Those prices are insane. I was there in November 2019, and much lower. The place is nice, but I do not think its worth it, and if it rains you are screwed.
@Mr. Mondesir Well, the prices in Boracay beach are indeed expensive. Just go somewhere farther away from the beach and the prices will go a lot lower. Resorts are always more expensive. Though just like you, I would prefer the prices to be cheaper. It seems that the law of supply and demand works here. A lot of tourists going to the same place tend to inflate the prices.
@@snowstorm0914 really is that why when I land for the Philippines for 4 days I have three girlfriends, this has been reproduced every single time I went to the Philippines. Quite wholesome indeed 😂
This is what I'm talking about. Every country has this problem where there is no "native Black" stake, ownership and control in the tourism. Where are the black Filipino (not biracial blasian, black on both sides) Filipinos restaurants there? I need a list. I want to find at BLACK Filipino restaurants, not mixed race or WHITE Filipino ones. The mixed race and whites in every nation group already have too much money.

The prices are even higher than Manila. Like twice the price. 1hr massage in Manila is only about P250 - P400.
