- Our colonial city home in the middle of León, Nicaragua where we lived for all of 2022. We are giving up the keys in a couple of days and this is my final walkthrough and tour of the house showing all of the bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms, pricing, the water tank, and so forth.
This large unit with three bedrooms and two baths on the main street of Laborio rented for just $350/mo with the power, television and Internet INCLUDED.

When I was living in Xela Guatemala there was a neighborhood dog and everybody called it Pretty but it was a male dog. I decided to call it Pepe, Pepe en la calle. He loved running down the street chasing cars. I'm surprised that he didn't get killed. I used to buy him a little salchicha (SP?) He often walked me home. He would never come in. I always thanked him for walking me home. Today he came to mind. ❤😢

Just the usual split units that everyone uses here. They work great. Low power, easy to deal with.

No, we have always had AC in bedrooms. But it is our AC. So it was removed when we left and it is in their new rooms now.

Yeah, we got a great deal on it. I've seen nearly identical places in Sutiava for $400. Same layout and everything, tiny bit larger, far cheaper location. So at $350 with utilities, which makes it around about $280 for just the rental, is pretty amazing.

Wow in the minute 5:50 , I really like that wooden dollar sign $ you have carved as an accent to separated the living room. Did you ever noticed it was dollar sign? That means Good to luck and your family.

Yes, that will take the electric costs way up. That's what we did.
How much was the water tank
About $1,000 I think. I'll have to check.
Find it too expensive because it looks rundown. If I were to rent something like this long term the price has to come down.

I think you are missing the pricing on things here, and what colonials will look like. Old buildings look "run down", because they are old. This is a giant space in a premium location. If you were to "fix it up" the monthly price would skyrocket. You could end up at $1000/mo here if you had something all modernized.

@@mitchparajon8126 the internet provider includes a router that provides wifi, yes.
it's fiber and quite fast. faster than most of my clients in the US.
Scott can you hook me up with any contacts for me to rent long term , in other words for the rest of my life , I'm 70 years old young . I don't need a house , a nice safe apartment for around 200 a month please

LOL, um no. Likely they won't go below $375 now since $350 was the cost before there was a tank and water.
$120 will get you a studio apartment a few blocks farther from El Centro. So at $350, this is a pretty solid deal. I think you'd be really lucky to still manage to get $350.
