- I decided to spontaneously go to Irún, Basque Country / Spain and had probably the strangest day ever... Check out my strange day in Irún, watch me find strange objects, wander into forbidden territory, and attempt to speak in Spanish.

Might be the first ever time I hear somebody say Irun is beautiful - we've always been a drab working-class town and are now a dormitory city for San Sebastián.
BTW, if you ever head back, do visit the Oiasso museum to get a nice glimpse at our Roman history! The museum was built around a Roman bathhouse and you can see it from anywhere inside it.

My sister in law is from Irun, so it was nice to see the ol place again. We stay in Hondarribia when we visit, a lovely place also. Thanks for the video.

It’s hardly beautiful. It’s pedestrian-looking, and best of it was ruined in Civil War.
I hitched from Roscoff to Santander almost 40 years go and got horrifically drunk on 'vodka y tónico' in Irun so recall very little about the city. Looks like I didn;t miss that much ;)

I found out my last name Alatrista comes from the city of Irun province of Guipúzcoa Spain basque country, probably doesn't mean much, since I'm from Arequipa Perú South America lol
nice music, being there on june 2008, still was in operation the basque extremist group ETA, so i felt it even more strange, people did not speak too much, although spanish is my first language. I ask an old man sitting in a bank, in a street, what was the name of the region, he just said: Guipuzcoa, looking in other direction, that was it. An spy movie could not be better.
