Just happened upon your channel - I love get it all done and house cleaning/organizing videos - and I must say - your editing is spot on - your music to speaking ratio is perfect - I love the high energy...yet Zen peacefulness you accomplish at the same time. I decluttered our small apartment storage locker a few weeks ago and condensed our items down to three holiday bins (2 Xmas, 1 Halloween), 1 misc bin, 1 camping gear bin and our Xmas tree. We now have plenty of room to store our electric scooters. 😆

My husband and I recently moved from an apartment into our own home. I will definitely say that in all honesty, the apartment felt much bigger and had a lot more usable and functional storage space. The house we purchased has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, but the rooms are extremely small and storage space here is seriously lacking and in very short supply. The house was built in the 1950's and according to the real estate listing it is 970 square feet. In reality, it is less than 900 square feet and we have no basement. With all of this having been said, as you might imagine it does force you to be ruthless and brutally realistic in terms of what you actually need and use. We are not in the position to hold onto things that we may or may not use someday. In our kitchen we literally have such little space that our canned and boxed goods are being stored on top of the countertop. Our bedrooms and bathroom are tiny postage stamps. And our closets are miniscule. Thank goodness it is just myself and my husband because our bedroom closet is only large enough to hold my clothes and I barely have any. My husband's clothes are all in the bedroom across the hall and the third bedroom closet houses our jackets and coats because we don't have an entryway closet. So we go from one room to the next to even get dressed.
I hear you!! Ugh, small spaces are SO tough 😩 but you’re so right, it’s funny how the more storage space there is, the bigger a home feels! I bet it was tough to minimize so much, but I’m sure it feels great to have less and living more intentionally 🏠✨💖
So I put the empty containers in the back because normally they’d hold my baking goods (flour, cornstarch, brown sugar etc.) but almost all of my baking goods were expired 🤦🏼♀️😂 so I’m just leaving them in the back until I get more 😊💖

I do struggle with that sometimes, feeling like I’m just “throwing money away” but I try to remind myself how lucky I am to be able to even have things in my home that I don’t want or need, and that someone else who is having a hard time in life that maybe can’t afford it could benefit from it SO much more.
