Thanks for an updated walking tour of Luang Prabang. The water levels looked really high. Hopefully it doesn't worsen. Also glad to see the night market looking busy. Looking forward to your next adventure. Hope you enjoy! 😊
Luang Prabang has that beautiful glow to it at dusk. And to experience that authentic charm to it in low season is something I wish to experience myself one day 👍🏻 For now, still excited for my upcoming visit there 😊
I like your videos! Keep it up! Also, I empathized with you as you were walking over that bridge as I am also TERRIFIED of heights. Don’t know if I would be able to do it.
Thank you for the show, Nat. Good to hear about the crackdown on GTSEZ. That awful place has destroyed many people lives and family. Finally, someone are doing something...
Great walking view of the beautiful and peaceful town with excellent narration. Useful information on the potential flooding in the area. Hope no major issue with the abnormal weather this season. Thanks for sharing.
So far, not much damage has been reported apart from what's going on in the golden triangle and some part of Vientiane capital. Let's hope everyone is safe. Thanks for watching😊
Thank you for the walking tour. It was helpful to use Google Maps to track your walk using businesses names, gives me a feel what to expect when I visit in October. All the best.
New sub here. I’m a YT’er from Taiwan 🇹🇼. I’ve heard about the train from Bangkok to the Laos capital but wasn’t aware it was already running. I was in Thailand recently, hope to try this train next time! Nice video, interesting looking markets to explore
Your videos are very informative and help your subscribers understand the attractions you show them on your channel. Besides, I'm amazed by your responses to each comment. Keep up the good work 👏
The boat racing is the celebration of mid Buddhist Lent, especially in Luang Prabang, where it blends with the traditional folklore about the Naga King protected the Mekong River.
Hi! We will be traveling yo Vientiane , Luang Prabang Ang Nonh Khiaw by next week. Now I am feeling very anxious about going there with all the flood and rain going on.
I am sorry to hear about you have bad experiences with the Chinese tourism. I am Laos living in US my husband is Chinese. He grow up here maybe that way he not as loud as the original Chinese 😂 but his parents and the rest of his family are amazing people they are kind and understanding human being so I don’t really understand why some of UA-camr in Laos have so much hatred against them. Or like they say ( people dislike other because you can’t be like them) Most of Chinese people are very successful they work very hard. I remember long ago we visit Laos we were driving it was super early in morning we pass by this motors bread cart my brother told me that the Chinese man sell bread. Till this day my brother voice still in my head. Because he say that this why Chinese people succeed because they not lazy.
I think people judge based on what they saw and experienced. However, when it comes to such circumstances, we tend to generalize it as a whole instead of doing/saying it individually. In the case of Chinese tourists, they're not new to Laos. They've been coming to Laos since years ago. Unfortunately, the unpleasant experience most local people had dealt with tourists is mostly Chinese, so people have this picture in their mind and believe that every Chinese are like that which is unfair to those are different, like I explained in the video. Most individual Chinese tourists are nice and respectful, only when they come in a big group they can be annoying. And yes, they're business minded people, and they work very hard😊
This is from someone who has been to 40 something countries: no one "really" likes the Chinese. In Southeast Asia, Chinese is synonymous with scams. Golden Triangle, Shanoukville, & etc. Chinese practice a very unethical style of business: monopolies. The phrase "zero coin tourist" was coined for them. China also wants to claim the so call "South China Sea" for themselves, banning Phillipinos and Vietnamese. I can go on...but now you see why?
There are plenty of places by the end of the night market. I think many of them are affordable. Depending on your budget. The area I mentioned starting from as low as $15
Today is good in Luang Prabang. Vientiane capital and places further south are battling with the crisis now as they're on the lower land. Sending thoughts and prayers to those affected.
@@natnomad I did visited Laos 4X already….just came back Singapore, Bangkok, Pattaya and Cambodia. A few more will see u in Laos and u will be my tour guy.😉
Theres alot of hmong in Luang Prabang. However, they live outside of the town. I am myself hmong. Regarding chinese, i believe they are loud sometimes because thats the they talk in their language. Its almost like a fighting language because they need to emphasize the tonal sound.
Yes, more and more Hmong people are now moving to town. The biggest Hmong community in Luang Prabang is based in Ban Kokwa, beyond the previous northern bus station.
That narrow walkway does not look safe wet or dry - barely enough room for one person to navigate. Laos is arguably one of the most corrupt country at every level of its society. This is not an opinion but an actual fact based on numerous international and private organization's fact finding. It is a common theme among impoverished nations throughout the world - Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America etc.
The first 5 minutes you filmed too much of yourself, your face. People want to see more of the scenery. And if they watched up to five minutes and all they see is just your face .. most (90%) will just click move on to next video.

Do the Lao people celebrate the mid-autumn festival? What are the boat races that you mentioned?
I think October.. Boat racing festival.. Is happening all over LAOS.. different village the city will come alive..I was there 2012 ..
The boat racing is the celebration of mid Buddhist Lent, especially in Luang Prabang, where it blends with the traditional folklore about the Naga King protected the Mekong River.

No rain from the past two days, but a bit in the coming week, but it doesn't seem to be heavy.

what city are you in right now? I plan to go there by the second week of December but the weather looks unfriendly
I'm in Luang Prabang. Don't worry, December is the best time and you'll get the best weather in Laos

I hope everyone in Laos is doing okay. The floods can be a misery for many people .
So far nothing serious has been reported. Just an alert, especially those along the Mekong River.

The ancestors weep. The floods be good for the Rice plains and it is the life essence.

Beautiful proverb 😊
If you can only withdraw 2 million kip at a time and your rent is $250-400 USD, how do you do it?
2 million is per transaction. You can withdraw many times depending on your card. But each time only 2 million and 40,000 fee
