I guess all that "everyday is an anniversary" may have been an embellishment of what was really going on. I've never been married but all the folks I know who've made a success say it's hard work. BOTH parties have to keep working at it, making sacrifices, and talking things out. There is no room for selfishness. It won't work with anyone if a person is not willing to do those things.
@Dywane Carter if sex is your main reason for marriage then thats a warped view. Dont get me wrong i enjoy sex with my husband but its not the main reason. Personally i feel the couple's who only have sex and no real compatibility are the one's who end up divorced. Once the honey moon part of the relationship is over you have to have more in common and more common ground than sex. At least my sex life we went 2 years sex every day, then phased the past couples years to maybe 1-2 times a week sometimes a few times a month. If we were married for mainly sex then we'd be divorced by now.
