  • Welcome to Money Talks - a series of interviews with Liam Halligan, Economics and Business Editor of GB News.
In this episode, Liam talks to Graeme Macdonald, CEO of JCB - a company that employs 15,000 people across 22 factories on four continents.
Returning to Money Talks, Graeme reflects on his prescient observation back in early September 2021, on this podcast, that inflation was “the greatest danger” facing the UK economy. He argues that he now sees signs of supply chain inflation is easing, even though most logistical and input costs still remain much higher than this time last year.
Graeme also comments on the importance of rising energy costs to businesses - with firms having not benefitted from the kind of energy price cap that has partially protected households. And he calls on the government to “get far more serious” about hydrogen as a fuel source, calling it “far more sustainable far more - than battery electric technology”.
