A good Steeldive is an incredible bargain. I got a "perfect" SD1970, it's a stunner, and it keeps great time, the most accurate of my automatics. Great video thanks
had my 1975 homage yeday absolutely love it got it off steeldive store on aliexpress three weeks to arrive from ordering to delivered ..highly recommend this timepiece ....
I’m planning on ordering the black dial version with the nato available strap in a few days. I’ve had my eyes on this one for a while, but was afraid it would look too big on my wrist. Luckily, you and I have the same size wrists and it looks great on you, so you convinced me to buy it. This will be the third watch I’ve purchased from AliExpress, after having watched your reviews. Every watch I’ve received so far, I’ve gotten pretty lucky, no real QC issues yet. I’m hoping it’ll be the same with this one. I can’t wait to order it. Thanks again for the upfront and honest review...👍🏽
I am so glad that I have found your channel, you have a great energy. :') Keep the great work, man, I believe it will pay off in the end. P.S 13:57 What a catch, no reaction whatsoever! xD A REAL boss player :P Edit: Don't worry about your English, you have a superb vocabulary.
Nice review! I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago 👍 For good photography you could try to use a polarizing filter on your camera. That should take care of most reflections on glass surfaces 🤔
Great description under your title! I feel the same. Thank you for the video. It is a wonderful watch. By the way, when I first got the watch I thought they gave me a blue dial by mistake, but then I realized the blue AR coating and the domed crystal were causing this effect. It is less pronounced on the SD1970.
Would like to give a recommendation for steeldiveuk, I've bought a couple of watches from them now, both arrived the next day! No import charges and slightly better prices than eBay. I have 3 Steeldive's now, SD1952T, SD1970 & SD1975 The "tuna & the turtle" are simply outstanding and the "barracuda" is a great looking watch. The tuna is a great looking watch, very solid looking, mine came on an engineer type bracelet which is ok. I think the watch deserves better and I'm debating whether to stick with a very comfortable engineer or go with a more "Seiko" style design. I rather like the chunky look of the 22mm for the full length of the bracelet rather than the tapered type, think it suits the look of this substantial piece better. A very solid watch from Steeldive.
I like your new approach. Collecting watches is all about emotions. You describe the emotions this watch provokes in great detail. When you want to know the time buy a 35 euro Casio and you are done, end of story. But we are collecting watches like woman collect shoes or handbags. It's not rational, no, ...it's emotional...! I subscribe to your channel, just to tell you I want more emotion description in watch reviews. By the way, you hold a watch in your hand and you wear it on the wrist..... Keep making these reviews, thanks in advance.
Great video! I just got a Seiko Tuna PADI Pepsi, I like it but feels too plastic. I wish I watched you video before I bought it. I'm going to buy the Stteldive next
I see you got yours originally with the engineers bracelet. I'm wondering, does it taper down at the clasp and if so to how many millimeters? I want to buy an after market clasp and I need to have the correct measurement
Great video Tomas - Top Banana! I've been thinking about buying one of these for a couple of days, and now... I'm going to buy one! I fancy the green, but I do like the black as well (as you've shown). Orange...? Hmmm, not sure. Blue...? Nah, too many blues. Or the yellow..? No again... I already have the Spinnaker Dumas Hazard Yellow - very nice! Keep up the good work dude.
@@TomasWatchReviews Yep, I've just been looking at all the colours and the red is pretty dandy. Too many colours to choose from. Oh I don't know - I'll have a cup of tea and ponder some more. :-)
@@TomasWatchReviews Yep you could be right, although I am back on the green again, but I am also drawn to the blue now. I have at least narrowed it down to three - black, green or blue. I shall have another cup of tea. I am the world's biggest procrastinator. I also have the Spinnaker Bradner in Emerald Green and I love this watch - although the green is subtle with a depth of mystery. Green is my favourite colour. I'm thinking blue because I don't have another timepiece in blue, but I've always regarded blue as a popular/common colour. The black is an absolute beauty! Anyway, forgive me, I am rambling on but I am getting there... haha... :-)) When I've ordered one, I'll pop back and wave the flag with a "hooray" and colour I have chosen. Cheers dude.

@@fractalofgod6324 Yup, a $105 automatic with nice alignment and construction vs a $1400 quartz watch with shotty Seiko QC and a bezel with wimpy clicks and backplay that came straight from hell. I could go through 13 SD1975's before reaching the cost of a genuine seiko quarts junk heap. What's not to love about Steeldive's version, if anything, it is an improvement over what seiko created. Sure you can't dive to the depths of hell, but for swimming, boating, jetskiing, snorkling and some diving, it will do great, and if you ever destroy it, you can buy another and still have enough money left over to buy many more.

Im about to order the bronze version but I like this too.........decisions decisions.....
might look very cool in bronze, but never sow in person. I like the idea of bronze changing over time.
Tomas you should do car reviews as well!

All eastern Europe has.
Always the cats! 😂💙 Watch looks great on you. Very great review. I make 100 likes!
Comparing Invicta to steeldive 😂 Invicta doesn’t even use 316L steel which means the watch will look like garbage in 2 years time
Invicta is stainless steel, not alloy.
The most uninteresting and sleepy review I've seen the last 49 month, a channel you'd better avoid
thanks for the feedback. Old video :)
Homage = Ripoff.
That's literally what it is-
And this watch is NOT a homage lol
It's better quality than the seiko
